I enjoyed this series immensely, I had an Audi 4000 Quattro back in the early 90’s and that car had magic to me. It was my first serious car out of college. Also, that smell of 80’s German cars is pretty unique.
I recently acquired one of these. Same year, model and color! 155k miles, straight body, original glass etc. It needs pretty much all the same repairs as you did. I'm happy to have found this series! It's going to make the project much easier. Thanks.
Loved watching all of your videos on this car. So impressed with the work you've done and the ingenious methods that you came up with in many of your repairs. If I hadn't just bought another car, I'd be all over this. Want it so bad. I'm sure you sold it already. Best wishes.
A friend owned a 1985 5000S automatic. Wasn't slow, not fast but comfortable, roomy, and about the most perfect road trip car. This Quattro is stunning.
I had a 1990 Audi 100 in a sky blue color with all the bells and whistles. Drove it for 5 yrs, I wish I had kept it. I also have a 1998 Volvo s70 glt with 148,000 miles on it, mid night blue in color. It runs and drives great every thing works like it should.
It was very nice seeing your videos on this car, how it was and how it's now, sad to see it go, but, the next owner sure will have a rare classic on their hands, wish you all the best with the sale and i'm looking forward to your next project on the channel, cheers from Brazil!
Such a beautiful audi 4000, good luck with the sale. I too am selling a 1990 Audi 200 Avant Wagon and it is a tough market. You should try bring a trailer for such an example as this!
WOW!! This is too cool for school! If I had room in my garage and bank account for another 80's car, I'd be jumping all over this! I have a 1987 BMW 325 as well, but I'm pretty sure my husband would make me live in one of them if I brought home another 80's car! :D Someone is going to get an amazing "new" Audi!
@@PracticalEnthusiast same!! I LOVED your E39 video series and watched that auction on BaT, you did that car proud! My daily is a blue water metallic E39 that I adore. I am hoping someone from your channel ends up with this beautiful Audi, you know it would be going to a good home.
So sad to see this car moved-on; and it's not even mine! Where do you and all of us go for our 80s content now? I really hope it sells well and gets a new lease of life with another caring owner. This is motoring history, right here!
can't believe you're selling all the heart you put in BUT good knowledge and amazing to see what you did! not a bad price at all and hopefully the person leaves a 20% tip!
@@PracticalEnthusiast understood and you are welcome! I'm probably going to have to make more time to work on my '89 200 avant as I've had a fairly rough time with shops unfortunately... but I believe these birds will be worth having at some point because of their age and being so one-off don't forget about that 20% tip for services rendered!
Hope you sell it for a good price so you can buy another cool car or put it into another one of your projects. Sad to see it go, but can't wait to see whats next!
I love the sound of odd number in-line engines!

I had an 88 Audi 5000, my FAVORITE car of all time. I sold it for nothing and wish I would have kept it.
I did a double take when I saw the 69 hwy and 119th sign. Literally a mile from my place, I had no idea you were local lol

That Audi is such a gem!
Best of luck on the sale, Peter. It's a helluva car. If I had the room, I might come check it out.

I know what you mean! I could really go for some extra garage space right about now 😊

I'll miss it too. But, there's always the chance it doesn't sell and the videos will continue by default 😆
good luck with the sale! looking forward to seeing the next project
Dude you are near me! I work in the building in the beginning of the video.
No kidding! That's become my favorite place to film outside of the garage.

Thank you! It's always hard to let these things go, but it has to happen I'm afraid.

Sorry to see the Audi 5000 is Audi 5000, but I’ll look forward to the next project!
I just sold my 2007 Acura TL Type S (manual)…this would have been an interesting replacement. Love those 5000 Turbo’s.
Hope you sell it for a good price so you can buy another cool car or put it into another one of your projects. Sad to see it go, but can't wait to see whats next!
I miss my 1985 turbo. Had chrome Ronal wheels.
Audi 100 aka rebadged 5000 was my first car in 2009

Is it sold?
Did you sell it?
If I am reincarnated as a car in the next life - I hope you find me.
