- Painting hanging mist in the mountains wet into wet in my block in stage. This is a really fun and easy technique to achieve subtle transitions which create realistic mist and cloud.
I would watch you on PBS with my morning coffee every day.
Truly a master at his work.
You crack me up mate.
Proper epic.
Top don artist, wicked sense of humour.
Loved how you went full Bob ross with the brushes on that bucket.

Nice, thank you so much for the advise 👌👏👍🙌
That was fun thanks Wayne. You sure make it look easy to.
Cheers Charne, lots and lots of practice 😊
Wayne Vickers Art for sure. My painting has evolved over 6 years due to practice, practice and more practice, then observing and learning from other gifted artists. We sure are fortunate nowadays to have such instant access to other likeminded artists. It drives everyone to produce better pieces which is very inspiring to witness.
It certainly has changed since I began 13 odd years ago. I was just thinking that yesterday. Even here within NZ there is a wealth of knowledge being shared from landscape artists. Info I would have given my eye teeth for back then 😆
@@waynevickersart2141 so true Wayne. Just think that you are now inspiring a new generation of artists. Some just painting as a means of artistic release, others wanting to improve and grow. How cool is that.
I love your videos and your art! Just subscribed. Excited to see more!
Thanks Brittany 😊 cheers for the support

Beautiful and so helpful! I’m hoping for a little bit more guidance if you can please. I’m painting a nightscape (Kiwiriki Bay on Great Barrier Island). I’d like to know what colours to paint my mountains. My water and sky are deep blues with a creamy yellow/white moon and reflection.

I love this video! thank you :) what paint brand do you use? I've been looking for some good ones
Thanks, i use Michael Harding, Williamsburg and Rembrandt. Mainly Michael Harding when i can get it. Cheers
Hi, thanks for sharing. Can you tell me the name of the medium again? I couldn't quite get it. And the white was Titanium white? Thank you
good one. your accent is a bonus!
so any brush is good for that or only mop?
Cheers Rob lol. I've only tried the brushes I talk about.
Thanks Wayne. Always wondered how to paint mist. How do you paint mist with watercolours? Is it possible?
Sorry Vic, I'm just not a water colour guy. Would like to have a play with water colour, it's just completely backwards to what I'm doing here from what I know. Good luck! Let me know how it goes 🎨
How do you determine the block-in color of the mountians? Does the sky play a factor, or do you stick with a specific pallet? Love the work and new subscriber!
Hi Max, sky is the deciding factor, so it is always different depending on the sky. It takes a bit of practice and you won't always get it right first time. Good luck!
Is it oil or acrylic
Is this oil?
