Kevin, my name is susan. I started painting 4 years ago. I started with adult pbn's. I then graduated to acrylics and really fell in love with painting. I now paint on canvas's. My favorite are the Fredricks, size 30x30 and 24x48. I have been watching you paint for about 5 months now and got the guts to order me some oils. My first try with them will be tomorrow. I am hoping that what I tried to do with acrylics- didn't work - I can render in oils. Thank you, thank you for giving me the guts to try. THANKS, u r AWESOME!!! P.S. I am a disabled Vietnam Vet and I'm 62. It's never to late to paint,,lol.
Thank you so much for your time, teaching and shearing so many techniques!!! just LOVE your paintings & the warmth of your voice is very peacefull. The best of wishes for you Kevin. Muchas gracias desde Ecuador!!!!
You add to the positive development of the soul. Thank you for being so positive. Thank you for sharing your talent, too. Much constructive love your way!
Great job Kevin, it's cool seeing you do smaller paintings! I've never painted on a birch panel like that before, so I may have to pick up one of your sets! Awesome packaging idea!
Wow you're so talented and your voice is very relaxing. I'm choosing my GCSE options in a few months and I'm picking art, mainly for the photography side of things
bom dia Kevin, parabéns pelo seus belos trabalhos, com a mistura de arte e coração,te acompanho aqui no Brasil com esses maravilhosos vídeos, Abraços,(Dudu)...
Very nice Kevin...nice play with the value planes...gives great depth...the mountain looks so realistic....and like the way you rendered the pines in the foreground...beautiful...you shared a lot of good tips that are important for painting on a smaller scale...thanks for that...following along with you..having the same supplies as you use really sets you up for success....
I love this! I will try to paint it and I'm hoping I'll get similar results using acrylic paints. I have done one of your painting called Birch Tree Shadow. Thanks for sharing!!!
Hi, my favorite painter. I bought brushes on your page, to see if they get to me soon, and it looks like you. Thank you very much for your lessons. A kiss
Has anyone in Europe ordered this or something from his brushline? Would love some of the brushes but I'm worried about what it would cost after delivery and customs...
Hi Kevin. I just started painting and had a question. How to do correct something you're not happy with? I.e. Trees Is it best to wipe it off or paint over? Sorry if it's a dumb question. I love your work, btw. God Bless.
Cue Cue hi ..Michael gave good advice...on panels it's easy to wipe off...even canvas...if its dried...you can even scrape it off with palette knife...sand paper the panel and gesso it...same for canvas...I wouldn't paint over it...unless your application of paint is thin and you don't mind painting over the entire canvas...then you can scrape the paint off with palette knife ..also with panel...use some turp to clean it or sand the panel very lightly...I would clean excess with canvas with turp natural the non toxic ...and then gesso 2-3xs ..depends on after second application of gesso if you can see thru on the canvas...panels are easier...each gesso let dry..sand ..then apply again..and sand paper it..hope it works out for you...again Michael is correct...I wouldn't paint over it..
hi Kevin, love your vídeos, greetings from Brazil. sometimes i think there's some "life" missing on your landscapes, i'd love to see some little Animals, maybe some birds flying far away...
What liquid did you used before applying the oil paint? Thats the only thing i dont know some of my painting so dry when i used oil paint. Hope you reply to my answer thank you. I really like your paint.
It's so fascinating how our brain accepts this as truth. it's dabbles of paint and highlights and our brain goes "yup, that's a perfectly realistic tree or mountain" etc.. it's really cool
Arad Haghgoo here is the link to Kevin's brushline... paintwithkevin.com/brushes-for-sale.html They are great quality brushes..and if you want to paint along with Kevin...and take your art journey further...it's better to use the same supplies he does...with his style you will have better results...and not get frustrated due to having the wrong consistency of oils and the brushes will last long if taken care of...hope you have fun...
***** ...hi..yes you can paint this on canvas...Kevin was giving a demo of using the panels...as they come with his oil paint set...you can use the same size or enlarge it...have fun...it's a beautiful scene...think it looks nice on a smaller scale as in Kevin's painting....
whenever i paint a picture i think... oh thats actually not so bad... *goes on UA-cam* *sees Kevins pictures* *instantly thinks my own Art is shit in its purist Form and shape*
Your painting techniques are beautiful ,,but you need to be more elaborate on the video.... because we are learning...there were times when you are drawing and suddenly a part of painting is completed...and we are stuck.... We want to see the painting in a little bit more elaborate video...
