    thanks for showing! you said at the divider are drain holes. these holes are there in case your zipper breaks and you need to lace a cord through to divide the pack. Greetings from Germany

    I have 2 of these packs.
    I purchased a good hard used one, Surplus was the perfect description of it. I cut it up to steam line it to traverse thru the brush. It takes major abuse . Fishing / camping in the Florida brush.

    I got gen 1 ruck with woodland camo and the one of later generation with crappy ACU camo which I dyed it using Ritdye. Like you said it's a great budget option for large volume with fairy good comfort.

      A woodland would look awesome. The ACU shouldn't be discounted either. If dyed it actually is reasonably functional as a camouflage.

      @circlem7366 I got US Army issue ACU goretex top and bottom. Love em for cold weather and look cool. I dyed the whole ACU gears like large ruck, assault pack, pouches and so on and did some Krylon camo painting. Now they actually look cool and work like Russian little green men camouflage.

      I do not understand the hate for ACU. Thank God i like the way it looks, because it is cheap and plentiful due to people like you.
      Also i love my Large Ruck. Is it as good as my 700 dollar Mystery Ranch?? No, but it was 1/7th the price. And i dont mind dragging it through mud duck hunting or letting the kids trample it and mess with it while fishing.
      As modular, bomb proof, and comfortable it is, its perfect for front country activities where weight isnt a concern. For 41 bucks i absolutely love it.

    how strong is the frame? can it withstand high falls?

    • @circlem7366
      @circlem7366  2 місяці тому +1

      I'd say durable but not invincible. The amount of UV exposure from sunlight can matter; more will weaken it. It won't be as strong as a metal frame, but I'm satisfied with the durability. What do you plan to do to it?

    Do you think a brand new DCU one for $90 is a good deal? I see people getting them cheaper, but they're usually used.

      If it is in decent condition (no holes/broken straps) I'd be inclined to say yes.

      @@circlem7366 thanks, it is in good condition, or at least they say it's brand new. I'll consider it.
