i've been watching a bunch of Take a Daytrip production videos and i just keep thinking, they're using like a mono lead synth (maybe 2-3 at a time?), a single bass synth, and then often pretty sparse drums with very minimal vst fx that could easily be replaced by simple modulation. if someone showed these guys something like the digitakt, or really the elektron Syntakt, they could make mo bamba and probbaly 90% of their tracks in that box, with no extra multitracking or extra gear & processing at all, aside from maybe a compressor and limiter at the end of the full signal chain and you can split out to multitrack via usb with overbridge on both of those boxes too. you could totally emulate most of their tracks with a simple elektron box that costs less than half of one of the synths they have, which they appear to be severely underutilizing i like them, not trashing them. just saying, if rap producers learned about elektron gear and maybe some eurorack, it'd be over with. one day like zaytoven or danny wolf is gonna get an intellijel palette case and learn what the morphagene is or like how to use a function generator with a sequential switch, or like quantizing a turing machine and running their samples through beads from some 8bit one shot sampler module/fm'ing samples in assimil8or. maybe they'll leanr how to do karplus-strnog with a short delay module. maybe additive synthesis with a tiptop buchla spectral processor clone. imagine that kind of sound design in rap. not just from fl studio plugins one day
What do you mean by that? You do realize that they're pioneering the modern pop sound in that studio? The Guitar Center probably asked them to quickly slap something together and they came up with this. There's no way you can expect more in such a short amount of time. Stop being a jealous soyboy.
The most underrated producer team in the game

Could be Tourette’s
I knew someone with Tourette’s that did a similar thing. This guy didn’t seem to have the vocal tics that go with Tourette’s though.
I've been looking for these guys, they produce for the likes of Lil Nas x and boy are they lit 🔥
Having all those synths is almost cheating!! Very Good inspiring stuff in here!
