Hi! Can I ask you how much does it cost to maintain the UV lamp and the light in the enclosure for one animal? Like how much would you spend on a month with and without one of those enclosures? I hope the question makes sense 😅 Thank you very much
@@luroluroluro the UVB bulbs need replaced once a year or less and they're about $23. The basking bulbs need replaced maybe once a year and they're $10. The total elecricity usage for the enclosure is about $8 a month for me.
@@mattmyers8471 this is the minimum you want for a monitor and there aren't any smaller lizards I can think of that are like a white throat. If you don't have a lot of space maybe consider a larger gecko or a snake. There are some really cool arboreal species of both.
And when I was looking for a 2nd gecko I had a list and it was an African fat-tailed gecko and crested gecko, gargoyle gecko, Central American banded gecko.
That’s so neat! Very creative, do you use more live plants or are you avoiding unwanted insects?
Thank you! I have pothos planted in all of my enclosures but that's the only live plant I use right now.
Wow nice job 🌱🦕
Thanks! I'm happy with them considering I have no decorating skills 😆

@ thank you very much 😁 your channel is very informative
How big is that enclosure
They're 4x2x2. If you have space I suggest going bigger.
I have space for an arboreal setup but probably not that big and what lizard has similar behavior to white throat monitor but smaller

Apparently my mom doesn't like snakes and I have experience with fat tail geckos and leopard geckos and handling hognose snakes
