He's very beautiful. I love the sort of mosaic snowflake pattern across his back. His temporary enclosure is also lovely. I only have easy keeping crested and gargoyle geckos, so I always enjoy seeing your various reptiles. Thank you! Merry Christmas! 🎀🎄🎀
when I read the title I was so scared something bad happened!! Love these reptile updates, great footage! definetly a good idea to keep in the exo terra style tank!
Hi Emma cool ackie u have there tim's looking healthy, I have my couple of ackie in a 2m20L/55H/40D enclosure, They like to sprint sometimes so i really recoment a long enclosure, Also a nice tip Emma is if u would put red outback sand in there i believe its from exo terra and it looks GREAT and its perfect for ackies, Good luck!!
I love him! I love how you think so critically about their husbandry and change it when you have doubts. What do you think about cohabitation with Ackie monitors?
Can you make a video of all of your current enclosures. Would like to see all of them before their upgrades. Also are planning to get another pet that would be more appropriate to house in Tim’s supposedly enclosure?
How long would you say a 40 gallon, like a zoomed front opening one, would last an ackie if they were in that younger 3-4 months old age ? Where did you acquire him ?
I would consider Ackie Monitors to be an intermediate/experienced species personally. As far as monitors go, they’re one of the best for new keepers but their care is still a little challenging. 4x2x2 enclosures are considered the minimum but bigger is better. 6 foot ones are great. They get to be about 2 feet long head to tail
He’s so handsome
Thank you! He is 😊

OMGGG I love Tim please make more videos with him!!! He is so cute ahhhh
Thank you!! I’ll definitely try to feature him more 😊
it’s crazy how reptile care changes in just 2 years. Tank minimum for these guys went from 4x2x2 to 4x2x4.
Who said that?
I'm currently remodeling a display case for my Ackie!
Tim bit is so cool I’d love to have an ackie one day
They’re an awesome species!
I love monitor lizards. I'm happy that you're taking wonderful care of him. Good Video.

Tim runs almost as fast as I do when I see food.
Mood
I love monitors mannerisms especially when they’re young or a smaller species. It’s like they’re constantly on fast forward. Lol
Great video. You obviously care a great deal about Tim. The current exo terra looks fantastic but really look forwards to seeing the new one.👍
Thank you very much!
I bred my Ackies for a couple years. I have 4 now. My original breeding pair and two holb
He so fast, it's like he on x games mode 🤣
Is it ok to put a baby ackie monitor in a adult enclosure ?
I know this is totally off-topic from this video but in the future would you ever think of getting guinea pigs?!?
No, I have no interest in owning guinea pigs
I really think that you should give him a lot of digging space for him because ackies really like to dig
Did you even watch the video lol
Ty for the info
Fun fact: the people who comment first second or third have not watched the full video :)
👍👍👍
True but after commenting that they hopefully would watch the whole video or Aleast I do 😂

I’ll be doing a full reptile room tour soon which will show all of my enclosures! And no, no plans for that enclosure
I have a red ackie just got him he's a bay born last month. On his first night he spent the whole night under a rock buried is tht normal?
Im so jealous rn
hey if you don't feel safe, scrap it and move on. His safety and your piece of mind are all that matter. That's it.

Check out Cary Boyd Ackies on UA-cam. I'm not trying to tell people what to do. They are just vids of me playing
So cuteee
Thank you!
Are ackie monitors good for beginners and also how big do they get and what size enclosure do they need

Do more videos with Lex! 💕💕
I’ll definitely do one soon!
What is the substrate that you are using
Sorry this is off topic but im getting my first crested gecko. Does the night temperature need to vary from day or does it need to stay constant?
Naturally Temps drop at night
Glad he's doing well. Wow he moves fast for the worms eh.
Thank you! And yes, they’re really fast!
He is so cute, I’m asking for one for Christmas
What kind of sand and soil mixture did you use?
It’s just play sand and organic soil! About 70% sand and 30% soil
@@EmmaLynneSampson awesome thank you
Give me an hour with that box and I’d have it on point.
Kurt Affair?
Peanut butter and jealous
Can you give me tips
First
Emma my bearde dragon does not want to grow and is 1 year old
Have you made sure your care is correct? If your care is correct and they’re not growing, then I would visit a vet.
