Oh man it's great you finally got the Manticore! I have several hundred hours of running mine. I have the M8 and M15 to go along with it. I am slaying the silver with the M15 in a spot that was covered with top soil. I had to be able to reach down through 10" to 14" of top soil to get the old coins. The Manticore with a few fine tuning settings and the M15 have done it! Absolutely wonderful. But I will say the Manticore has a learning curve. Stick to the sound profile you like and don't keep changing around. You want the sounds to become embedded in your brain along with what targets are when you dig them up. Takes a good 50 hours of use and around then things will just start to click and the finds will be amazing. When hunting deep silver coins your nemesis will be bent rusty nails but after awhile you will start to be able to hear the difference although very subtle between a deep silver and bent rusty nails. I can call them for the most part but I'm a hot coin zone I go ahead and dig the questionable ones to. Have fun!

@@DigItDetecting just stick to it. It's definitely different from the 900 and the 800. Once you get used to the sounds and bouncing TDI numbers and get familiar with the 2d screen a bit it will all come together. But takes time to get to that point. Just stick to it and suddenly it will click and comes together.

Looking forward to slow recovery speed attempts at the gold on the Manticore, but knowing on the goldfields the 2D target display and numbers discrimination will excite you very much in finding great relics, but also on regular hunts on farms and around towns. Helena be like..... Great....another detector haha😂 It has a different end shaft to coil to the 900 with the outer ears fitting vrs the male 900. Maybe it's stronger yet again?
Haha i think that was Helena's thoughts exactly @New Zealand Earthmover and let's face it...I can only swing one machine at once😅 I did notice the new coil ears. Not sure if stronger or just a new design to go with the mantiocre. Maybe also so you can't swap over coils...a very interesting machine though and we are going to have lots of fun im sure.
