It is hard to see which buttons you are pushing but with a few rewinds I was able to follow along. Thanks for the info on setting this new machine up for a quick first time out. Look forward to more on the Manticore.
Was totally frustrated with the machine untill I watched your video. What a difference now, the machine hums. It works great. It should be a required video before you try everyone else's tips In other words don't do anything until you watch this video. Thanks for your GREAT help
I just received my manticore 24 hours ago. Your video presents a simple and easy interpretation of all the options available on this machine. Thanks very much!
This was a big help to me, having mostly run analog detectors for years. The menu system is set up very intuitively, so it's easier to use than I'd thought. Really liking the m9 coil on this thing. It will take me awhile to get a handle on, for sure. Lots of different ways you can run this beast.
This is a good start. Only thing that would suggest is that it would have been nice had you lit up the lower buttons so I could tell which ones you were pressing to navigate around the screen. Thank you for the video.
Thanks for this vid mate. Ive had mine since 1st week in January, but unable to get out with it due to either torn ligaments or worse in my hip. So 4 months on, i decided to do some air tests on coins/silver, but couldn't remember how to ground balance etc. You vid solved it, thanks mate! Gonna bite the bullet once this awful awful rain stops soaking our little UK 😉 . Oh, subbed..
Good stuff Mike. That color screen is rad, and the menu seems easy enough to navigate. Looks like a winner, especially if the coil ears and shaft hold up. It will be interesting to see how it stacks up once everybody gets it in their hands. Getting my popcorn ready...
@@Detectingthepastuk i like General and Fast, both act the same around the nails. I use 1 tone regional and a recovery of 5-6. Sensitivity 20 or less for relic hunting.
Thank you for this Mike, I'm going to put it in my favorites because I'm sure I will need to refer back to it👍 It's good to know the factory settings work for a beginner🤯
Thanks. Can't wait to see a few videos of it out detecting and how it compares side by side with the 800. Wishing you all the best. Good luck, happy hunting and take care. ✌️
I like those sound profile setups. One dislike I have with the Nox, although it is a great machine, was the fact that depth perception could be tough on some targets. That's why I like the D2 because I always listen for the whispery, slight tones at depth. Those profile settings got my interest peaked. Too bad my wife will murder me if I buy another $1600 detector! :D
Looking forward to getting my hands on this machine Mike, Just want to see more evidence that it will find things in the parks I’ve hunted with the Nox..

Thanks for sharing. how would you compare it to XP Deus2 regarding the depth? I am considering buying one of them. the depth is my priority. what is your recommendation?
Both are great and very deep punching machines. I really like features of both. XP is working on another update as well so all good stuff down the line.
Great vid I would like to know more about the depth perception I hunt with a Deus 2 that has quieter softer sounding edges the deeper the target is it like that?
My 1st detector was a nox 600. Bought a D2 last yr and have loved it but started to really hate the methods of charging, what a terrible design. I’ll be selling it, as I ordered a manticore today….going back to minelab. A lot to love about the D2 but they have to come up with a better design for charging the darned thing. Also noticed the 85/86 ID flaw which I think you pointed out in another vid
Hi Mike. I am mostly a water detector and a prospector since I moved out of New England. I would be curious as to how the Manticore does on super small gold,
Hey John, for supper small gold you should stick to a gold machine that can go up to those really high frequencies. For general hunting it does great on gold.
