Did you mask off your birds? Love the variety of techniques. Thank you for sharing as I struggle with background choices.
You are welcome, and thank you for your question! I didn't mask them in this particular bee-eater painting, but if I wasn't able to paint the background in separate sections (top and bottom left, and top and bottom right), then I would consider masking. Or, if the background was a large area and I wanted it to be a consistent flat wash, I would probably mask the subject. I hope that helps?
