  • In the vast expanse of the blue frontier, a giant vessel emerges, known as the Fujian. As the latest marvel of the Chinese Navy, the Fujian signifies a leap in domestically produced carrier technology, embodying China’s maritime strategic ambitions. From launch outfitting to accelerated sea trials, and the stunning debut of the KJ-600 carrier-based early warning aircraft, every step of the Fujian has captured global attention. Yet, does the expedited sea trial schedule hint at the limits of China’s carrier construction pace? How does the Chinese Navy strike a balance between technological advancement and safety assurance? More importantly, as China’s shipbuilding industry rises, how will the future scale of the Chinese Navy’s carrier fleet be planned to align with its grand vision of global maritime strategy?
Is this true, dear viewers? Welcome back to our channel! I am thrilled to share and discuss today’s topic with you: Does the Fujian’s swift sea trial signify technological confidence, or pose risks of rushed workmanship? How can the pursuit of speed be balanced with safety guarantees? The KJ-600’s deployment aboard signals a leap in the combat capabilities of China’s carrier battle group, but does this mean the Chinese Navy will outstrip other nations’ carrier fleets? What makes China’s carrier development path unique? As China’s shipbuilding industry approaches the peak carrier construction speeds of the US during the Cold War era, how will the future number of supercarriers in the Chinese Navy be planned? Will it maintain the status quo, or dramatically expand to match its ambitious global maritime strategy?
Yes, dear viewers, what secrets and stories lie beneath? This video will delve into detailed analysis and revelations. Let’s begin!
The Fujian, a legend of the domestically produced electromagnetic carrier, unfolds its magnificent tale of outfitting and sea trials, captivating the world. Twenty-three months of outfitting, followed by two sea trials within two months, with the third imminent-this breakneck pace elicits both awe and unease. Amidst the eager anticipation for the Fujian’s commissioning, there’s an underlying worry about potential safety hazards posed by intensive sea trials, mirroring the sea’s tumultuous waves-yearning to forge ahead while wary of unseen reefs.

The challenges that come with the Fujian cannot be underestimated as it represents several firsts for China on many levels. I don't expect them to have many issues with the vessel per se as they are literally among the world's top master shipbuilders, hence the smooth and speedy progress of the first few sea trials. But systems integration, the EMALS system & CATOBAR operations are where the real challenges lie. On top of that, the carrier's new air wings have not gone into production yet -- the J-35, J-15T and the KJ600. And their crews need to be trained too and their operational techniques established. Hence the 2026 commissioning.
But once all these hv been sorted, the 4th carrier will enter service in record time. Bear in mind they also have mini EMALS carriers in parallel development in the form of the Type 076.

ALL OF SUCH IN DEFENSE OF CN'S NATIONAL SECURITY ONLY. REST OF THE WORLD NEED NOT BE CONCERNED.

This is wonderful news! Sea trials and shakedown cruises that take months to fix are accomplished in a matter of weeks. This is a reflection on the technical advancements of the shipyards. Not even the Americans can duplicate such complicated and technical feat.
No cracks are evident on deck - either the shipwrights expertly addressed the issue or there were none needed to resolve.
With the success of this carrier, however, she must be shadowed by a pair of tugboats as an insurance if ever trouble comes up that did not occur during the shakedown.
No ship is 100 per cent perfect. There can be issues but nothing that can't get resolved.

china believes in walking before running. the fujian is just another step. each carrier is far better than the last. supposedly the next carrier is nuclear powered. once they figure out the right recipe, they will mass produce. that's how they work.

why don't you ask the US to turn all their carriers to peace keepers rather than war instigators.

I am not sure that China's Fujian aircraft carrier stuns anyone in the world. In fact, the sea trials have been conveniently ignored by Western news media as though the massive ship doesn't even exist.

The news 9n the Fujian was not featured in the west may be an attempt to keep their citizens ignorant of the fact that they are now having rivals to their percieved supremacy . This is called censorship something the west has been accusing the east are doing.

The West would jump to a small natural disaster in China but kept quiet about a gigantic ship with new launch tech - a Chinese projection of power. The silence speaks a lot.

true. but media and government are different thing. Fujian does have an impact on how countries see China as a protector or threat.

@@lagrangewei the media are in cahoot with the government especially the western media. They have become cojoined twins joint at the hips. Where when fart the other will say nice. so to say that the media will act differently from the government is stretching the truth a bit too far.

the funny part is that never trusted Taiwanese people... USA said always that they do, but all military weapons that USA sells to Taiwanese are limited power. like the F16 fighter plane that USA sold to Taiwanese has a weaker engine.

Fujian carriers will not pass the rigors of sea trials, Baka masunog pa yan dahil pinipilit hindi naman kaya ng structures. Gaya ng mga Chekwa products walang guarantee that it will work. Alam ba ninyo yong chinese fire drills nila sa barko? Hindi maayos kaya nagbabangaan (stampede). Heeeee! Halaaaw!
