Yep, agreed with your closing statements. Darien Lake has the better coasters but in terms of enjoyability and experience, Seabreeze is the better park. It was true even when DL was in full swing with everything open. Underrated water park as well.
Only ever went once, for a few hours, and I loved it. Speaking of Jack Rabbit operations, the evening I went, one guy ran the entire station. He let people into the queue. Did restraints. Dispatched the ride. Then did it all over again. And it moved quick.
I've lived all around the world as a military brat and was very lucky to get to enjoy amusement parks worldwide including the likes of Europa Park. That said, this tiny park has one of my absolute favorite rides of all time. The Bobsleds. For a kid/family coaster it caught me off guard and there's just something so charming and fun about it. Seabreeze is a very small family park, but it has a lot of history and is perfect for people with younger children.
even if this park is really small with not many coasters, this place is amazing and the people are really nice and the water park is probably one of the best water parks i’ve been to
Ahh Seabreeze. My home park when I was at college. I loved this park even before since I used to live in NY. Jackrabbit was my first adult thrill ride! And I second what you say about the water park, it's overall a great hybrid park! Now my home park is... Fun Spot ATL haha Great vlog!
I agree with the title, even if the top 3 coasters between the 2 are all at Darien Lake (that wouldn't be the case if Jack Rabbit ran Miller or NAD trains). The knife incident I experienced at Darien certainly didn't help my opinion of that park as a park. But comparing the 2 shows coasters aren't everything. As for non-coasters, the log flume at Seabreeze is the second best log flume (I legit got airtime on that drop), only to Dorney's terrain log flume. I also really like that they have retro skee ball machines like what Knobles has in their arcade. However, my favourite attraction at Seabreeze is actually the history museum they have in their carousel building. I may have a bias having been at Knobles 2 days prior and seeing my first flywheel (operating on Phoenix), and appreciating getting to see one up close to actually get a sense of the size, along with some other cool artifacts. Seabreeze may not have a standout coaster but because of how the park is run and the embrase of the history, it is the best park in western New York. I'm not sure whether I prefer Seebreeze or Great Escape, Comet is probably the best woodie in the state (although I haven't ridden Dragon Coaster or Cyclone downstate) so Great Escape has it beat on coasters for actually having a standout coaster but Seabreeze is definately more charming with the skee ball and history museum.
@@amusementscape hey man I’m heading to Darien to get 2 credits predator and ride of steel was wondering if you’d like to collab I’m gonna be filming to do a review of what has changed and what needs to I’m going early Tuesday to hopefully get my 2 credits and maybe hit up tantrum and viper

I noticed the Steelers shirt, thats awesome cause im a steelers fan too (im still in pain from the game lol). On my trip to Niagara Park, i plan on stopping here too and this video helped a lot
The bob sled is my favorite ride. It used ti be the gyrosphere before they took it down. I even miss the quantum loop (although I never got a chance to get on it). I used to be scared to get on when i was younger then before that i was to short to get on. 🤣🤣🤣
The zamperla disko has a pine tree right next to it and u can literally grab whole branches on it it’s insane, it’s the only reason why I ride that ride
I know everyone says this park is small and all that but its a very charming place. Being by the lakeshore and being the place u go when your younger makes it even more special. The jackrabbit is a classic historic monument and the log flume has a steep ass drop
Enjoyed my trips there during the 80's and 90's They had many historic rides . The Bobsleds were pretty wicked and fun for my first visit but it was toned down during later visits. Don't know if you've been to Knoebels but I would guess it would be high on your list if you visit once they're back to normal operations and Flying Turns is operational too.
I love seabreeze ❤️...I grew up on seabreeze since childhood and my 10 yr old son loves it as well. I wanted to take him to darien lake but after watching your latest reviews on it idk now
although i say darien lake is my home park, this is my real home park. its about 20 minutes away from my home and its quite the park for what is is. all the coasters were fun and enjoyable and it dosent get enough attention from enthusiasts. heres a quick coaster review: jack rabbit: extremely smooth for its age, maintenance takes great care of it. despite being the star attraction, its actually the tamest but its still great. overall 8.5 of 10 bear trax: just ur average kiddie coaster. 6 of 10 bobsleds: actually surprised me. It was really enjoyable and scenic with the lake right next to it. overall 7.8 of 10 whirlwind: i thought it would be a tame ride experience, i was so wrong. that first drop was great and actually shocked me. and when i was on it, the ride was really spinning. and it actually had some decent positive g's at the bottom of the drop. it takes a while to process what happened in that tight, compact layout. overall 9 of 10. my fav in the the park. this park is small but is really fun for the whole family, you got something for everyone here. they could benefit off of some land expansion, but i dont really know if thats possible due to the location. i love this park and i hope to see it shine on for a few more decades.
Same sea breeze is closer to me even though I call derian lake my home park because I go there more but sea breeze may seem small but is super fun once you get to visit😀
Did u ride the log flume, there is a crazy kink in the drop and if ur in the back u and u put ur feet in the air and let go u literally come completely off ur seat and ur floating in mid air, it’s sketchy but so fun and I literally marathoned the log flume when I went this year
I mean the park has a small capacity so as long as you get there kinda early you’ll be ok. Bobsleds will have a long line but I don’t think you’ll have any issues other than that
Never been to Seabreeze but can say how annoying it is at Darien Lake being so understaffed. Was there on Monday and Tantrum, Predator and a lot of flats down makes for a not as fun day.
Darien lake is ran so poorly compared to this park it is no contest. This definitely is better. I've gone to each a couple times this year. Darien is always disappointing.

You could consider these some of my home parks because I don't live anywhere near any parks, these are some of the closest (seriously, if any ammusement park developer is reading, put something in Binghamton so I'm only 1 hr away and could easily use the bus). I definately prefer Seabreeze. At Darien Lake I wittnessed a knife incident, the man who whipped out the knife stalked me for the rest of the day after, since the ride operator made it obvious who turned him in, so I had a get the credits and leave mentality. Seabreeze felt very friendly, I liked the little touches like the history museum in the caroucel building, the retro skee ball games in their arcade, ride operators letting "I'm an ACEr, I need a credit" be enough to ride the kiddie credit, and the location in a small town with a beautiful lake view. Very charming park that needs a standout coaster, a gravity group like Mine Blower would do that perfectly, and not ruin any aesthetic since it would look like just another woodie on the skyline.

I've never been to Seabreeze Amusement Park, and I must say it does look to have a Beautiful charm to it. I do have a different opinion about the Morgan Trains though. I used to ride Colossus at SFMM when PTC Trains were on the Rollercoaster, also had Buzzer Lap Bars and Skid Friction Brakes to slow down and stop the Trains. Not to mention Great Floater Airtime. When the Morgan Trains were added it completely ruined Colossus because they're lighter and thus took away the Airtime the PTC Trains once delivered. Now it's Twisted Colossucks.👎👎
