The red queen is the most bipolar inconsistent character in the series; she's both a good guy, bad guy, helpless, helpful, in command, being controlled, saving humanity, exterminating humanity, helping Alice. Fighting Alice... She has so many bugs it must be a Bethesda product

The most stupid thing about these movies is that Umbrella keeps seeking world domination, when there's no world to rule, anymore.
And it's also pathetically comic how they end this movie with tons of Alice clones and then only 3 or 4 show up in the next movie.
Forget seeking world domination; in the one before this one, they build a giant underwater base with mass production cloning facilities to demonstrate the zombie virus to sellers instead of just selling the cloning technology.
Well but that's a problem with most villains - they always try to destroy the world on their way to world domination. Unless they dream of "sit alone in a wasteland devoid of life for a few weeks before you inevitably die as well", that always seems like an incredibly stupid plan.

What's worse is their "world domination" plan seems to be completely focused on "kill as many people as possible", which makes even less sense. In the next movie, it's shown that Umbrella was gathering up survivors for the sole purpose of killing every single one off for their ridiculous experiments.

No mention on how someone who survived the apocalypse to this date, knowing the consequences of hiding a zombie bite, turning, and killing everyone around him, still decides to hide it and travel with them until he does just that?
He should've at least outcast himself if he didn't wanna bite a bullet, he didn't turn till at least 24 hours later, plenty of time to get far enough away to where he's not hurting his friends when he turns. The way he was acting was like he was barely holding it together, if you're going to die anyway taking a painless gunshot to the head would be far better than suffering while you turn.
@Pixies Ostrich Duster They shouldn't even give a chance to make that choice. Mandatory nude body checks for everyone involved after every fight with zombies is such an obvious measure in such situation.

what about the scene in the desert were Ali Laughter's character is talking and there are cars driving down the highway in the distance, or the scene on the surface at the secret base were the zombies only take up half the fence like they did not have enough extras to fill the entire fence line.

I saw Capcom was planning to do the same "cut content out of game and sell as dlc" tactic they used on Resident Evil 6 for ps3...
That dlc they are planning to release is actually already done. (All of it)
Just like when RE6 and ORC were released the latter was released half finished. And the former had most of Mercenaries mode gutted from it to be sold as dlc. (Resident Evil has literally never done that with Mercenaries that RE6.)
So I'm just going to wait till I feel its worth money for a game that only has a campaign in it unless you buy dlc. (Besides Persona 5 comes out soon, I actually have been waiting for that game)

I was very young when I saw these movies(24 now), and I've never gone returned to them until now...I just can't believe that they got this far with no plot, or any true relevance to the games, except cameos honestly. Alice is such a random wtf idea, this is blowing my mind

They should’ve just stopped with two movies because Resident Evil and Apocalypse are great and fit in perfectly with the early games. From Extinction on though, they made the mistake of jumping deep into the future, so had to rely on making up their own history, which is why the rest of them are so horrible. Even finally bringing in the actual game characters didn’t help.

So, if Alice's blood is the cure, why not just send a helicopter with a loudspeaker saying "Alice, we are sending an unarmed intern to talk to you. His name is Kevin; we don't really care if you kill him but we don't have that many interns you know." Kevin hands her a phone, Umbrella says "we think we can cure this with your blood. We will give you anything you want if you allow Kev here to take a vial. Alaska you say? Sure thing, we'll send you down there with food, medical, supplies, and weapons; just let Kevin take some blood from you and we'll give you anything you want."
I mean, sure Alice hates Umbrella for literally destroying the world but they spent more manpower trying to kill her to take the blood than Alice would have taken to get the hell out of Dodge...

This should be implemented in many other movies as well...another scenario: A guy wants to help and enters in a house because the door was open and he saw something going in but he was suspicious because this guy didn't close the door and maybe had a weapon. Later the owner of the house is coming in, the guy who entered the house before, doesn't know how the owner looks like. Without saying anything they start a firefight instead of just saying why they are there or who they are.
This kind of shit is in many other movies as well and takes the fun out of the movie, when u watched it long enough to even think about such alternative ways because it would lead to a completely other film course.

My guess for why the queens are sisters is because they each represent the colors of Umbrella. The white queen represents more of a human Ai with compassion and reasoning while the red queen is logical and calculating in a more ominous way.
That's giving far too much credit here, but I like that idea :p
May be right on the color scheme, and I like the idea, but I agree it's giving a little too much credit in terms of different AI reasoning subroutines. Umbrella would have no use for a compassionate AI, it's just that the damage is done now, the white queen doesn't have the "evil" option to choose. If this were the first movie, she'd probably make the same choice as the red queen. Don't forget, the red queen's choice wasn't actually evil, it was a "needs of the many" choice.
Jakk Frost I agree they're two sides of the same coin but just the manner in which they speak and express themselves seems so different. The white queen was more of an assistant while the red queen was more of a boss that made every decision. An example from the movie is how in the first one the red queen taunted the Umbrella team and repeatedly says "You're all going to die down here" in an almost hateful way. She could have warned them what had happened and why she did what she did but she just challenges them like an actual child. The white queen however even wishes Alice "Good luck" in a sincere way when she has to fight mutated Dr. Isaacs. Both Ai's are logical but from a human perspective they are very different. Idk the system just seems too flawed to have been a coincidence.
Iroquois Pliskin ~ I see your point there, but it could also be argued that red queen was trying to warn them to leave, to scare them away, and was operating under security protocols, so she couldn't just outline everything for them.
The white queen may also have been a version 2.0, with a better user interface and no more need for security protocols, since I think they're technically supposed to be the same girl, but the actress would have been too old by now.

And how on earth do they create the hologram in the first place? She's standing in front of a laptop with no visible web-camera or anything. We need two seperate cameras (or lenses, at least) just to create a 3D picture, so a hologram? With a built-in camera on a laptop? Really?
Another movie sin: Why are the zombies coming out of the shipping container dressed in new (or clean) jumpsuits, new boots and gloves? You might think such resources would be scarce in even an extensive, but finite underground redoubt.
At least the dark -we are bad so we have a conference in a dark room - scene makes sense as they may be saving light energy 😂
The weirdest thing about the T-virus is that it totally worked with dogs. The dogs were fully fine with human handlers, until the handlers got killed by other zombies and the dogs went hungry and feral.

its a common story really, as its kinda realistic to look at immune people for a cure. But in this case first resident evil film came out 2002 and first maze runner book 2009.

I just realized...this is basically the plot of the Maze Runner series. Zombies, the world is a desert wasteland, getting a cure by repeatedly killing people in a simulation, shady organization, etc.
Also, surprised there wasn't a sin for driving a Hummer after the apocalypse. At least the other gas guzzling vehicles provided space to walk around in, not just ample leg room and a built in Xbox.
This is actually my favorite of the series (I know it's not the best series but I enjoy it)

Seriously, no sin for the lack of continuity for the zombies in the opening scene, it shows us a desolate dessert without anything remotely human, then it zooms our showing the complex surrounded on all sides.
I actually like these movies, they're guilty pleasures.
Every movie has mistakes but the production company bets that no one notices them which most people do , you wouldn't notice those mistakes unless you pay attention ,pause it and rewatch it 1000 times to notice them like the Sins guy did

8:36 watches are useful to people who have to pull guard because if the next shift doesn't show up it means something went wrong. This man is shown on watch several times during this movie.
They actually did explain the "why he let her go at the end of the last movie" part. They wanted to see her "preform." But when she knew something was off (as seen later by now they have repositioned and/or just use a satellite to shut her off like a goddam robot), so she broke into an umbrella facility, hacked the mainframe, and stayed off the grid. Alice explains this to Carlos straight out.
Granted, if the general public wasn't such wussies, they would've went off the original concept and had her kill the little girl from apocalypse and then leave, but, pansy bs the ratings people never let you kill kids unless it's NC-17 or unrated.
