the zombie truck driver he's referring to was bitten then turned while he was driving
indeed. Truck driver at truck stop kicks someone to the ground. "That guy's a maniac, why did he bite me?" He then closes his door and drives off. Skipp forward. Leon and Claire are in a policecar when a zombie pops up from the back seat and tries to kill them. Leon hits a trafic sign. As they both sigh for relief, Leon notices a truck comming at them at full speed. The camera zooms in on the truck somewhat and you can see the driver is in the proces of turning into a zombie. Both Leon and Claire jump out of the car as the truck drives right into it, creating a fire so both characters are seperated (hey, it's survival horror). There you go, Capcom's scenario writers at your service.

Have to agree with you there, even as a kid, I thought that running around in a zombie infested city with an outfit like that is taunting death. The zombies almost always go for the neck, I guess the boots makes sense since some zombies pretend they're dead to bite someone's ankles, but the tube top is urgh.

What more do I want? A coherent storyline that's actually in-line with the games it's *supposed* to be based on, actual characters from said games as they are portrayed in the games, get rid of that damn Mary Sue character named Alice, stop giving this asshole money to turn his mastubatory fanfics about his wife into movies, actual character development as opposed to making the already overpowered Mary Sue even more overpowered, some kind of intelligence behind the story instead of whatever their coked-up brains think will look cool.
But, you know, other than that it's fine. Can't really complain.
Dargonhuman Look, I totally get what you're saying, a good movie adaptation of the games would be fantastic, but if the story can stand on its own, almost any amount of artistic licence can be justified. If you consider just how fleshed out Yuri's character is, and how much depth they gave to his struggle in this apocalyptic setting, as well as the unwavering kinship he has with his friends, it more than justifies the inaccuracies of the movie. This is the sort of story that can only add to the franchise, in my opinion.

From what I've seen in the movies that does make her a Mary Sue. This isn't always a bad thing if you add more to your character but they don't with Alice so she is nothing but a Mary Sue

Sin #16: Since this city was built by Umbrella, it is possible that they already installed those walls and gates as well, something like a contingency plan if some incident occurs. They only needed to raise those walls from the ground, which should be possible to do for less than 13 hours.
Sin #63: If I recall correctly, Raccoon City Police Department also had R.P.D acronym in video games. Movies are just paying the homage to that too.
Sin #90: Those two dudes at the hospital are members of U.B.C.S. (Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service), not S.T.A.R.S.

The reason Jill is wearing the tomb raider gear is because of the heatwave. You mentioned this in another sin. Sienna Guillory came up with the idea of the heatwave in Raccoon city to help justify the skimpy outfit. Makes sense and shows she cared a lot about the character. She also plays the games to walk like Jill holding a gun and hold her hip when injured
I think there'll be a Yuri prequel explaining his origin story etc. Really looking forward to that.

There is nothing wrong with R.P.D, it is exactly like that in the game. The protagonist of the second game wear that in his police uniform the entire game, the R.P.D police station is a recurring location in both the second and the third game. There is no way they could have done their research at all.
To be fair some police departments do put the C for city in the name. I think he was talking about it in general. If you take what he said and apply it to the game its the same thing, its just RPD

I like how the weather report said it was in the high 90s that day, at the church an infected woman is sitting by the fire to stay warm, when the zombie horde is closing in on all the action at city hall a couple of the zombie extras are seen wearing hoodies...
I think if I recall correctly when they were filming the movie, it was actually pretty cold. They were trying to justify Jill's costume as opposed to the typical Stars gear. So they fed us high heat waves etc.

All the Resident Evil Live Action movies are considered bad by most people, funny thing is that i actually enjoy watching them, i never get high expectations with these and i also don't take them seriously at the same time, it's that kind of movie you watch for some fun action and that's it.
I think Apocalypse is my favorite, it's the one who tried the most to look like the game, it had Jill Valentine, zombie chaos in Raccoon City, the iconic Police VS. Zombies scene from Resident Evil 3 Nemesis, and of course, it had the motherfucking Nemesis!
Even though it still had a ton of stupid shit in it, just like the whole Nemesis is a good guy now, lol fuck that!

Hugo Hoyos I think it's because New York is the name of the city. Not, New York City. So you would not include City in the acronym. However, Racoon City has the word city in it and it is apart of the title unlike New York. The city is not called just "Racoon." At least I think so. Thats my guess.

Awesome! I've never played the games (apart from one on the Wii, which is basically a recap of the first game supposedly), so I guess my opinion of the movies would be different if I had. As it is, I really enjoy the Resident Evil movies. This one is my personal favorite. But I never did get the whole Alice waking up in a chamber either naked or dressed in white thing. And yes, the military wasted their time, and had they not done so, they would have gotten out safe and alive. And if you ask someone if they're all right in a zombie apocalypse and get no answer, I think the question basically answers itself. As for the slow-motion bullets, it's funny/ironic that they're made by Umbrella, as evidenced by the logo on the back. The zombie dogs are sad though. I hate that part. :( And 10:38 always cracks me up! Especially his comment afterward - "I see you, mother...!" And as for the soft rocks, I think Alice died because that debris flew into her chest, and the impact of the crash finished her off. You forgot the sin of seeing her boobs; not because they're boobs, but because of how weird they are! lol I'd love for you to do one of these videos for all the movies! They left the fifth one open for a sixth (of course), and I can only imagine what that one will be like. :D But yes, great video once again! No matter how much I may enjoy a movie, your videos about them are hysterical! And you notice things I never did. :D

The first series of Resident Evil games for PS systems kind of messed me up as a kid. I would get addicted and play for hours.....the scare jumps.....those were always unexpected and the Nemesis would just jump through walls out of nowhere and say S.T.A.R.S, not to mention, you couldn't fight him during hand to hand combat. All the other games after these were great too.
1:53 - Forgot the part where Carlos is using two desert eagles like a cunt. Not even the fact that he's got perfect aim while descending down from a helicopter, just using flashy overrated magnums that are totally impractical.

The two guys at the hospital were NOT Special Tactics and Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S.).
They belonged to the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service (U.B.C.S.). They were basically Umbrella mercenaries.
As for the STARS, they were basically SWAT team of the cops. There were two STARS units at the Raccoon city police department. Most of them were wiped out in the investigation of strange murders took place in the forest outside Raccoon city which were referred to the Mansion incident (the first movie was supposedly based on the mansion incident but the stories were too different). Nemesis was tasked to hunt down the remaining STARS members to shut them up since they knew it was Umbrella caused the outbreak.

Jill wasn't on duty when the events of Resident Evil 3 happened. During the first game where she is on the job,she's dressed the same as anyone else on the S.T.A.R.S. team.
Pretty sure R.E.3 started with her in her apartment readying a pistol. You surely would throw on some pants and a jacket at least. Not that I'm complaining, just poking fun.
ICantSplel Actually, (I know how pretentious that sounds.... sorry) it's explained in the novels, and been confirmed by Capcom. All of the members of S.T.A.R.S were on leave at the time. Their story was not well received by the RPD (especially since Chief of Police Brian Irons was in league with Umbrella). Most of the S.T.A.R.S members had fled the city already, and Jill was just about to leave. Anyway, sorry to be a dick. As far as the practicality of her cloths? Uuuummmm, NO. A leather jacket and jeans would be much better. On the other hand, the sweater wrapped around her waist suggests she might be on her period and hence not thinking rationally.
I have to be honest, the last time I played RE3 which was fairly recently, I choose Jill's STARS outfit over the corset, miniskirt and sweater around the waist instead of being worn like a conventional sweater since it's late fucking september/early october get-up.
But that's what she wore on the game tho

For me (someone who never played the games) this movie is enjoyable to watch, mostly because I love the Nemesis character. There were a lot of stupid moments, when I was thinking to myself 'How did they even allow that?'. Still a good movie though, especially for people for whom really stupid moments don't ruin the experience.

These movies are the reason I started playing the games.
Some of the things that happened at the end, shooting through windows and catching the gun, Code Veronica game. Some of what happened in thisovie was from RE2 and 3. You have to play the games to understand certain parts.
In the first game, the S.T.A.R.S members fighting against the zombies for data was the point. And Carlos and Yuri were not S.T.A.R.S. They worked for Umbrella. The cops did not work for Umbrella. Trust me, it's less confusing in the games. The movies are just for fun.

There's a few of his sins that aren't actually sins. For example:
1:31 The newspaper headline had nothing to do with the movie. It was put in it as an homage to George Romero since that same headline was shown in his movie Day of the Dead.
5:22 As mentioned earlier, the women aren't hookers, they're strippers which is why they're almost naked.
5:37 The slow zoom in on the helmet reflection wasn't done because it "was a cool shot", it was a scene in the game Resident Evil 3.
5:50 Them walking through the graveyard and the zombies rising was also taken from the game RE 3.
11:09 The camera recording "cliche" was another scene taken from the game.
12:00 Alice blowing up the kitchen with the stoves is, again, from the game where Jill does it, which is why it's in the movie.
14:00 The Mortal Kombat reference was due to the producer having directed the MK movie.
14:33 The helicopter shooting out the windows was from the game opening of RE: Code: Veronica and not a movie sin.
14:50 Milla did drop the gun and caught it like was shown in the movie (so they really were amazing skills) which was a scene found in the game Resident Evil: Code: Veronica where Claire did it and killed a room of henchmen.
