Engraving a City Map with a Laser Cutter

It used to be very difficult to get a clean digital image of a city map that could be laser engraved onto materials. Now, there are lots of free options available online where you can export a high quality map and follow a few simple steps to get a laser ready city map for cutting and/or engraving.

That’s a good idea! I’ll add that to my list and try to make a simple 2D version. I made a Christmas tree light last year with green acrylic and some ornaments 😊

Thanks! I made this on plywood with an MDF core. It was 1/8 inch thick. Since it’s just engraved, it could be made on any laser safe material
