Just found your channel.
James Blunt recorded that in 1 sitting. He wanted a genuine reaction and it’s exactly what happened. That’s his Dad with him. He had stage 4 kidney disease and this was James’s tribute to him. Thats why it’s so emotional. His dad made a comment afterwards asking why everyone was so upset and crying as he was still alive. When the song was released a first cousin they didn’t know about came forward and was found to be compatible and the kidney transplant was a success.
They were both in the British Army. I read that the words of ‘I’m not your son, you’re not my father, we’re just 2 grown men saying goodbye’ is something they said to each other when they went on deployment.

ALL you UA-camrs need to learn how to edit! There is so much difference in your speaking sound and the sound of the James Blunt video youre playing ! Edit it in a way that the volume is equally loud! SO ANNOYING !!Whats even more annoying is the stopping all the time ! Why cant you listen to it fully and afterwards react ! ALMOST ALL YOU UA-cam REACTERS keep pausing the clip and many times at the most important emotional part of the song !
