    I'm old school from the 70's, this new tech is way over my head, I liked it much better when one didn't have to have a Masters Degree in Model Building to play, build finish and go fly in the simple ways. I do think all the back up systems are great but as I said, way over my head. I also find your video very interesting and there are some things I pick up from them to increase my abilities. So don't let my ramblings stop anyone from trying and doing what you are doing, it improves the hobby.

    Super nice video showing all the nice equipment in this plane. Enjoy your videos all the time. Although I fly 42% aircraft all the time, I still enjoy your videos and from time to time learn something new. Again, thanks for your efforts and I hope you have a great flying season. Thanks

    keep throttle stop it stops the butterfly from closing too far causing scaring and sticking on the carb wall.. depending on how quality the machining on the carb is

      My thought was when the throttle is properly set u don’t need it and should the linkage ever fail it will close and shut the throttle

    I have enjoyed considerably your channel since I found it today. One thing that I wish you and many other knowledgeable rc builders would do is maybe even drop a few more steps in your build to show things in more detail instead of fast forwarding thru everything and then trying to point things out after it's done. No one actually learns anything from the step you complete. I have struggled through the years trying to figure out how to integrate things that I buy to put in my plane's. Nothing ever seems to come with directions. I beg to differ when people say all you have to do is go on the internet and you can find how to set everything up. All you ever hear is this is what I'm going to hook up and then it's followed by a fast forward install that no one seen how the install was done or wired. Most of the time it's im going to show how to wire my mid plane wiring and then boom fast forward and its done and no one has seen anything except the person in super motion and then we'll there it is. That how it's done. Yea right. A person has not learned a thing except the person doing it knows how to do it but the person your telling your going to show how it's done has learned nothing. It's all across the internet like that. I'm sorry. I'm not trying to come off like I'm criticizing you because I have much respect for your abilities. I would just love to learn from those abilities and knowledge and it can't happen without a slower methodical approach. I appreciate your time for making these videos though and hope to see more. Without the fast forward please so some of us can benefit from the teaching.
    Thank-you.

      Dewey,
      First, thanks for watching and subbing that’s much appreciated. Second, I love any comments and feedback and reply to everyone. I want to hear your thoughts. You will find in some vids I do go into some depth and some I do not. Some times I learn along the way and some time I don’t. I am starting to make vids on specific things that can derail a build vid for some viewers. I am learning as I go and by all means share your opinions. The other thing I will tell you is I always do my best to help anybody anywhere that needs it. If you ever have a question on a product and install whatever, pm me through Facebook on my personal page, official Just Plane Cray FB page whatever and I will help to the best of my ability. Til next time

    How did you mix the choke and auto start servos so the choke disengages on start?

    • @JustPlaneCrazy
      @JustPlaneCrazy  3 роки тому

      The choke servo is mixed in on a three second delay. Once it’s moving it’s also slowed way down so it’s slow to close. If the engine is hot the choke will never come on because it starts right away. If it’s cold it takes a couple seconds of cranking and the choke comes in and only ever has a chance to deliver enough fuel to start because it’s coming slowly.

      @@JustPlaneCrazy Is it mixed in using another separate channel?

    • @JustPlaneCrazy

      Choke is on a separate channel. Then I mixed the delay into the starter solenoid channel

    Loving the build. I’m just about to buy one myself. I’ve got a dle 55ra that needs a home. One question, I had a seagull model in the past and it wasn’t quite the size it was advertised to be. Is this plan truly 86” wingspan? Thanks

    Did you glue the two wing halves together? The instructions aren't very clear about that? Do they need to be glued together?

    • @JustPlaneCrazy
      @JustPlaneCrazy  Місяць тому

      I didn’t glue mine together. One wing bolt in the bottom and tube will keep everything together as one once on the plane. I put a strap on mine to make it one piece. It can be removed when I want. Then you can separate. I prefer transporting the wing as one piece

    What baterry do you use for ignition? The receiver ones? Do you use ibec?

    • @JustPlaneCrazy
      @JustPlaneCrazy  Рік тому +1

      I use two redundant 3200 7.4 packs. Then supply the servos and ignition through the receiver. No Ubec

      @@JustPlaneCrazy First of all, thank you for your answer (huge fan here). Aren't you concerned about the interference from CDI ignition noise?

    • @ricardomartins712
      @ricardomartins712 Рік тому

      The Ibec i was mentioning is the "tech aero ultra ibec" from Gator RC

    • @JustPlaneCrazy
      @JustPlaneCrazy  Рік тому +1

      So popular question. Ignition noise comes from the secondary side of an ignition system. That means ign cool to plug. As long as the wire is not damaged, the boot and spark plug are properly fitted and the primary control wiring is nowhere near the secondary wiring you don’t have any issues. I have yet to ever have a gasser give me issues. This setup is no different then that circuit being for lights. I will also answer you UBEC question which is also very good. A lot of my friends run tech arrow and love them. I agree it’s a good product and I am not opposed to it. When I run out of my others I will most likely go that way for extra protection but that goes back to answer number one above. Also if 20000volts gets sent back through wiring, it doesn’t matter what it is. It’s fried
