    The change from OBS style to SD style was some time in 98. I've seen 98 E-series with both styles of 7.3
    If you're doing a lot of pans, making some guide studs from longer bolts makes life easier to land the pan exactly in place.

      I always go by serial numbers vs model year. As it’s a definitive answer.
      Guides would be easier for sure. But not really gonna make it much faster lol

      Generally I will do another check afterwards yes. But you don’t want to go crazy with it.
