This retains both tanks, and this is for a powerstroke and not an IDI. The E fuel upgrade has been a big thing on the PSD for a long time now

There was a time when an e-fuel kit for an OBS was ~$800. Sure it's plug and play and you're paying for the convenience that someone else did all the thinking for you. I didn't buy a kit since I wanted to do things "my way" and do things like eliminate the banjo bolt and wishbone line, and do a different filter and pump mounting.

It came from the donor truck. It was an 05-07 era frame. Other years may not work. It is an OEM Track bar bracket.

Don’t worry about the locating pin on the axle. When you flip the shock bracket around, once you get it in the right spot and tighten it down. It’ll stay where I my is. Use you’re original VSS in the rear axle, not the 05+ one.

If I’m not mistaken, 2005-2016 uses the “same” bar.

A new F250 has a GVWR of around 10,000. Give or take whatever suspension package it’s got. Steering columns are easy, it’s explained in the dash removal video I have posted. 460 trucks get between 8-10 as typical fuel mileage. 4x4 swapping one of these old F-Superduties is always a lot of work depending on which route you want to go. And either one you take isn’t cheap sadly.

@@GarrettsOBSGarage don't know which F-250s you're looking at but I see the SuperDutys with over 20,000 lb. GVWR. OBS model F-250 HD only gets 10,000 lb. GVWR. Let's not confuse payload with GVWR.

@@konoctiswigwam8130 I think you’re looking at tow ratings. GVWR is Gross Vehicle Weight Rating. Which doesn’t include towing capacity.

@@GarrettsOBSGarage Yes, GVWR includes both the vehicle weight and the payload. How much payload do you get on an OBS F-250 HD ? End of story. My GVWR on my F-SuperDuty is almost twice what the 250 is. Mine has power brakes front and back with an 11,000 lbs. rear axle. I can comfortably haul 7,000 lbs. And to think that an old OBS 250, even the HD, can hold it's own against even a 10,000 lb. trailer is absurd. A lot has improved. Having a diesel and 4WD would be ideal, but I have a lot of machines to haul and I can't afford a diesel that can do that.

@@konoctiswigwam8130 F-Superduty GVWR is 15,000. A 95 F250 with a 7.3 is 8800. A 2017 F250 with a 6.7 is 10,000 GVWR. Which is weight of vehicle plus payload. A 2024 F350 can be 14,000 GVWR, a 2024 F550 can be 19,500 GVWR depending on options and a 2024 F600 is 22,000 GVWR. Those are specs straight from Fords website. Each of those trucks weigh differently depending on options and upfitted equipment. So, what they can put in the bed is different for each truck. Either way. Only one of those trucks is over 20,000 and it’s the F600. Towing, all of the 1995 HD trucks have a 10,000 pound tow rating for bumper pull. I don’t know what the new trucks can tow. But it’s obviously more.

@@maddox1993100 oh the axle shafts themselves! I got them from Summit Racing. You can’t use the 450/550 ones directly because they would be too long.

The stand has done well! I’ve pulled cabs off and I’ve also pulled them out with out hoods on. Usually the cab off is on a SD and Hood off is an OBS.

@@GarrettsOBSGarage Thanks. I like the idea of having the engine on a stand to do my upgrades, but I don't like the idea of lifting the cab or dismantling the front end.

It’s all a process, sadly. Fighting the process can make it harder in the long run though.

This truck is likely going to stay this way for a long time. Don’t wanna coat anything on it. It’ll never see any form of winter driving. It’s really amazing to see how nice and clean it is for its age!!! Over time, probably just fix the things that need fixed or repaired.

Yeah. Whoever painted it really lacked attention to detail. Other than that. It’s great! I’ve never seen a truck with the heat shield on the bushing. That was a first for me.

I used all the 05+ soft lines and made my own from there. Depending on your truck, will depend on the size of the line and it’s routing.

There are no torque values given for the crossover. Reason being it is sold as a whole unit, crossover and intake, and there "should" be no need to remove it. With that being said, dismantling the crossover from the manifold is not recommended by the manufacturers by their lack of torque specifications for that part. We all know thats the best thing to do, and install the RTV, so I went by feel on the bolts, and being that there is no value stated, or printed, I can't really tell you an exact number. If you have an older, manual torque wrench, you could see how much torque it requires to remove the bolts and reinstall with a similar value.

@@GarrettsOBSGarage the crossover was so loose when I bought the manifold that I could take the bolts out with my fingers.

This system is working currently. And has no restrictions or vacuum issues running the OEM setup.

The process is a complicated one for sure. And most people wouldn’t understand how it works. This is why people have issues with the multifunction switch cancelling cruise, because the transmission is extremely sensitive to the voltage. So, yes. You’re correct, but it’s a very in depth explanation that most wouldn’t understand. So I made this video so that it was understandable to everyone.

@@GarrettsOBSGarage Yes, I agree, and the E40.D is a complicated transmission.It's a great transmission when it's working though and it is extremely strong

He’s not far off as long as he’s replacing literally EVERYTHING. He was under 13 and that included a new rear diff, and a bunch of new parts and upgrades to the axles. Including install. Each truck will cost a different amount. Depending on what your donor needs. And what your truck needs. And what you want. This truck needed all new brakes, new rear diff, new ball joints and universals and unit bearings. All new steering and steering stabilizers. Blue top steering box. All new brake lines. It’s pretty much “new” from the frame down.

I honestly don’t remember. I have a digital welder, that doesn’t really give you those specifics anymore
