Would you happen to know if all the holes for the shackles are present on the frame of a truck that came from the factory with coil spring suspension? I have a 95 F250 2wd and I'd like to do a solid front axle swap
I have a standard 3.5 rsk I converted to accept the super duty springs! I have 8” leaf springs and they are center but angle up towards the front of the truck. Got any tips? Lower the front mount down until it’s parallel or not a big deal? Not Angled terrible either maybe a shim?
I have a 1997 obs F250 HD Super cab, the front right shackle hole is rotted out, the shackle is barely holding. You were about to say something when the video cut off. Any suggestions?
I'd do some metal work and cut out the rusted part of the frame and weld some new metal in. Then do this kit: www.skysoffroaddesign.com/collections/92-97-f-250-350-front-suspension/products/92-97-f-250-350-shackle-reversal?variant=13844398997570
The only time I've seen someone unhappy with the ride quality of this kit was with aftermarket springs that either didn't have the correct spring rate, or had a poor shackle angle.
@@SkysOffroadDesigncould be. Took it to off road warehouse had them source the springs and put them on with your reverse kit. Certainly you would no more than I would about your product. It helped a little but not much with the setup I have.
@@Mondo888 What does the shackle angle look like? We prefer to use OEM V-code springs in the superduty kit. You can still get them new from Ford for about the same price as getting foreign junk shipped from the internet.

Do we have to buy new leaf springs if we but the reverse shackle kit ? I got a 97 f350 XLT CCLB 4x4. And guys talk about the reverse shackle from you guys but I need more info on it before I buy. I really want a 4" lift
But you dont talk about , the SD axle is wider then the obs.....I want a kit but a lot of $ to make a wrong pick...I have a 1995 f250 with a spring at 36.5" and the SD 1999 axle i got is a 37.5" or i even hear its a 37.3/4" wide.....Need the info now....lol
Hello, so this kit uses the Super Duty Springs with the OBS axle. Our FORD-FSRSDAL kits do allow you to use the 99-04 axle and springs. As well as a conversion panhard kit to adapt to the SD axle's panhard bracket. We also make a kit to use the 05+ axles too. Thank you,
Hi if I have a 94 F350 with a 6 inch lift kit installed currently will adding this reversal Kit increase the front height by 2 inches if so is there a way or kit that will keep my front height at 6 inches and not raise it anymore? Thanks
Hello, we do make a kit that will retain your OBS springs, but the minimum lift with a shackle reversal is going to be 2". What I would recommend to keep your 6" lift is this FSRSD kit with 4" Revtek springs. You will still be at 6" and ride much better. Thank you,
Hello, This particular kit is designed to swap in the better riding 99-04 Super Duty leaf springs into a 92-97 F250/F350. But we do have a kit for your truck. www.skysoffroaddesign.com/collections/85-91-f-250-350-front-suspension/products/ford-fsrob-002 That kit uses your factory leaf springs and can work with the TTB Dana 50 front axle with the addition of some TTB pivot drop brackets. It is designed for the 85-91 as well. thank you,
Ive got a 97 f250, I bought an 02 superduty for the axles. Do I have to move my spring pads to make them work or will it bolt right in with this kit. Any info would be great. Thanks in advance.
There is a superduty axle kit specifically for this, that kit will put your spring pin width correct for a superduty axle. You will not have to move your spring pads.
It can be used on the TTB front suspension, but it is not recommended for a couple of reasons. First the F250 actually has stiffer springs than the F350. This is to withstand the twisting forces the TTB imparts upon the springs. So it would need an add a leaf or X-code springs. Second, this kit will push the axle forward about 3/4". Which on a solid axle truck is negligible and just gets you a little more clearance at the rear of the fender. On a IFS it tends to bind things up. Just do a Dana 60 swap. We make kits to use the SD D50/60 which is much easier and cheaper to find than an OBS D60.
No, sorry we don't. However there are links to places that do on the product page: www.skysoffroaddesign.com/collections/92-97-f-250-350-front-suspension/products/92-97-f-350-superduty-shackle-reversal-kits?variant=13845239365698 Thank you,
There are no stock front hitches on these trucks. Likely your front hitch mounts in the same location as this kit, so you would need to do some fabrication to make that all work.

Is this 2 inches from shackle only so itll be around 3inxh with v codes or is it 2inxh with v codes?
These kits are 2" with V-code springs. If you use X-codes it will be 1.5" taller.
Will this work on a 97 obs IFS?
