Leaving the family is always the hardest part. Knowing that your providing for them makes it better but it’s always worth it. I gave it up a couple of years ago because my kids grew up without me. Stay safe and always do what you can with them while your home.
Jake I have been running a heavy wrecker in west texas but all together for 7 years. Used to weld but never really applied myself. Im teaching myself to weld pipe again. You have inspired me to get back into welding. I bought a hobart from tractor supply since they're made by miller now I figured that would give me a good start to tubbing out my denali 2500. Hopefully when oil comes back ill be a welder again and live my life a little bit like you. Keep on keepin on man and stay safe. I watch all of your videos you post. Im 28 but I've learned alot from you. Stay safe and hopefully I'll get to meet you one day
Fantastic day Jake 👍🇺🇸!! Passing on the welding trade to the next generation is an awesome feeling. Love the camp buddy, and that hike will sure get the heart and lungs a burning.
Dude that’s badass! I’m a road welder but don’t have a rig or anything but would love to find work out west, it’s always been a dream of mine since I started welding
I'm super excited I found your channel. I've been a shop welder for about 5 years mainly tig welding. I recently taught myself to stick and now I'm in the plants. I've decided I want to get myself a truck and see where that takes me. Your channel has been very informative for me.
That is amazing. I remember doing the same, being away from home , working. Now that I'm alot older, I have to say that was the best time I had doing what I loved. God bless

Awesome. I've been there. When the other guys headed to the bars, I went to camp. I lived out of my rig truck more than once when out in the boondocks. Looking back, best days of my life. You're doing it right My friend.
Love how you used a wedge to stir it all up! Don’t mind many people that think outside the box or ones who think that’s nasty since it’s a tool🤙🏼 be safe god bless
Nice stuff! I'm a traveling millwright now, got hired on because they needed someone who could weld whatever. It's been hard af in this heat but I'm learning alot! Maybe in a few weeks I'll have enough to get a tub rig going and start a side hustle... maybe even a business?
Man we never stopped just kinda took a break with the filming while we got the business off the ground and going after getting laid off.thank you for staying with us.
That is going to be the hardest part for me when I start pipeline. I'm the oldest with 3 young brothers and sisters. All I know is that it will pay off in the long end
If it was easy everyone would do it. You develop a bond with the people you work with and it’s something you can’t find anywhere else. No one else knows how it feels until you’ve done it or youre apart of it. You hate it when you’re doing it but miss it when you aren’t.
Hey man I’m in aerospace welding right now and I’ve been here for a year now and I got two years total of welding experience and I’ve always wanted to get into being a rig welder down the road and wanted to know some helpful tips. Thanks
What happened to the RV trailer you used to have get rid of it? Where is this just a video showing basic/ easier way to do it . Either way awesome video hope everyone is doing well and staying safe 👍👍👍
Man i fuckin love this! I always thought it was cool seeing you when i worked on wells ranch a few years ago. Im working on getting a camper and rigging up, cant wait to live that dream brother!

You should look into distribution pipeline welding. Still get rig pay plus bbn union wages and home every night. Check out miller pipeline or Minnesota limited. Looks kinda rough compared to the way you used to have it
Daniel we are actually making the same money. but we decided to get an apartment in town instead of staying in the 5th wheel so without Eliza and Baylin I have the luxery of being able to camp instead of getting a hotel room which sucks!! So it has been great.
@@JacobSchofield wasn't sure what was up with it man. I knew the oil industry dropped bottom, so just hoped you were doing ok. Camping is a blast, more of a weekend hobby for us. Good luck out there bud

so we just barely got the apartment. I still need to do a video on it. the 5th wheel has been our home for 9 years and we still have it just incase we need to hit the road.
yeah, and on the way to work you'll start to think about it, is it worth being gone so long or so many times in the year?, but everything we do is cuz of them and because of them we sometimes have to be a part! sad but we gotta keep going! heads up hoods down, make it rain brotha! p.s you put on some weigth dude!😄😆
What respirator do you use under your welding hood. I weld in a unheated shop in the winter and was wondering if that would help keep my hood from fogging up?
I usually show back up around 6 pm depending on what we are doing. I work anywhere from 10 -14 hrs a day 5-7 days a week just depending on what needs finished.
I hunt Coyotes a lot and when I was younger I would go every year for deer and elk but since ive been on the road for so long I have not been able to. This will be the first year in about 8 years I will go elk hunting.
