I liked that as well. Nothing worse than running out of lids, jars, canning salt, etc half way through the process! Been there! Thanks to my mother (she always had extra of what I ended up needing (and vice-versa in some cases)!

Love the tip about reading the recipe multiple times & making sure you have the right size bowls, etc. I’ve definitely found myself in the middle of a recipe with not enough big bowls to handle what I was doing 😂 thanks for a great Canuary video!

I love mushrooms but have always thought the store bought canned mushrooms were rubbery and tough. I can't wait to try pressure canning my own! I have recently purchased a nesco/ Carey electric canner and have been having fun trying a few jars at a time of different recipes to see if I like it before I do bigger batches in my regular pressure canner. This is going to be one of my next tries!!!!

I absolutely love the way you explain things that are so important. I am very new at canning and still have fear in certain areas. So thank you for taking the time to share what so many think is "common knowledge" but for me, it is not. I have more confidence after watching you because of what you have taught us. Thank you! And those mushrooms look divine!!!!
This is great. Mushrooms go bad in the frig so quickly it is nice to be able to can them and this is the perfect way to do that. I loved the idea of using the mushroom broth.
Not only does Canuary give me new canning recipes, I'm meeting new You Tubers who I may not have found without the collab. I've canned my own mushrooms the past couple of years. It's nice to know that I always have a supply on the pantry shelf. I have always sliced them though (using an egg slicer makes pretty quick work of it.) I do some 4 oz. jars. They hold just enough for a 12" pizza.
That’s wonderful! We want to put up slices for pizza and also creamed turkey over toast. It is a tradition to make that every day after Thanksgiving in our house!
