If you still have the bike, a tip for when changing the oil filters, ktm recommends putting the bike on its side and filling the oil filter holes halfway with oil before putting in the filters

yea and if you change the coolant dont do it on a stand, use the kickstand with the skidplate off - ask me how me and my garage floor know

Thank you . I always do that whenever it is possible at cars's oil filters , so, that i fill them with oil, and than start turning engine without ignition, until the oil pressure light turns off. Than i start the engine.

That's the KTM hard parts skid plate its what I use , Your bikes same as my 02 not much has changed . Its been said these bikes put KTM on the map with reliability and fun factor. Valve adjustments are easy too. Great video You have a natural knack for tutorial videos. thumbs up

When using a tuque wrench with a crows foot like you used. Remember that the crows foot must be at 90 degrees to the tuque wrench, not straight out at the end of wrench. But out to the side at 90 degrees to get the correct tuque.

@@AlbesADV cool, what happened to the clutch? I have a leak on mine but it doesnt leak fluid anywhere. Every few rides I lose compression at the lever. Any tips on where to start looking?

Mine is just old and I need to replace the discs.
Maybe your master cylinder is not holding pressure, that's why feels like is leaking but there is no actual leak

Why wouldn't you duct tape your documents to the inside if the tool less air box cover? Makes sense to me

Well....first, cause I didn't think of it 😆 but even then, it's very oily in there, I ended up bolting on the ktm tail bag and that did it.
But yours is a good idea

In theory both ends are the same, but sometimes the part that goes in first is slightly shorter. Let me know if that helps

I'm not sure, it shouldn't be, but being a KTM you'll never know. If you want some peace of mind just turn it around, if you lay the bike on it's side there is no need to remove the engine oil to swap the screen filter
