- Hi everyone!! In today's video we are checking out a FOOD TRUCK EVENT that is packed with SO MANY CHOICES of delicious EATS. It's called WHAT THE TRUCK and it's located at the Waikele Center in WAIPAHU, HI. Why is it called that you ask?? It's because it's an event that is full of FOOD TRUCKS and other various vendors from clothing, jewelry, decor, toys, and so much MORE!! Oh yay! Me and Gina from OhanaEatz went a week and a half ago. We had so much fun we may go again next month! Thanks for showing some different spots. I noticed the line up always changes. That gives it a fresh feel and not the same old if you want to go often. I like that idea! Thanks Michelle and Jose for showing all the stalls we did not get to try!
Hey Misty!! That is so cool you and Gina got to go and check it out. Is that where you got to try Sama Sama?? We love checking out What the Truck whenever we are on the island because its got so many options all in one spot. Definitely some regular vendors in the line up which is nice to catch familiar places and also agree many different vendors since their schedules change often as well. Hope you get to try Hometown BBQ whenever you go again. They're one of the vendors that rotates based on their schedule and we know you loved Sunset TX BBQ so you'll enjoy them too!! We love that it's also never too overly crowded so we never have to worry about super long crazy lines like at some of the other events/markets we've been too. Definitely a great place to try new things!!
@@michellejosefoodandtravel Yes we went to Hometown BBQ and it was so good! I liked the tri tip the best. I automatically scheduled the video to come out today since it is so short. What a coincidence! My stupid camera's audio went out for some reason so I had to salvage it by over dubbing the audio. Now I'm hungry LOL
That’s awesome you got to try them!! Can’t wait to watch the video. We are working on our video of them too when we visited them at Wai Kai at the Ono Grindz and Makeke market. Another event/market to check out if ever on that side of the island!!

Hi Debbie! We always have a great time attending “What the Truck” whenever we’re there on the island. You’re correct it’s always a hard time trying to pick what to eat from all the vendors since we only have so much stomach space!! We’ll definitely be back to have more fun again. Mahalo!!

Hi Rod!! Definitely a lot of options to choose from to please any appetite😋. It's very laid back and never too overly crowded either and a straight drive🚗 or bus ride 🚌from Honolulu. The Waikele Premium Outlets are right there too so can definitely shop🛍️ for some deals there and then eat😋, shop a little more🛍️, walk around, and repeat🔁 at What the Truck!!

Okay...I'm going to have to try one of these What The Truck events. That Banana Pudding Cookie Butter Drizzle Pound Cake??!!!! That sounds like a gift from heaven. 🎁 I need that in my life immediately! You guys are so awesome! 🤙🏾
Dwayne you should definitely make a trip out to visit What The Truck!! So many options of savory and sweet all in one place. Friendly and laid back atmosphere and overall just a great time. I am Australian and bought tickets from Roberts Hawaii to visit Waikele shopping outlets on Wednesday 6 December 2023.
Please advise whereabouts of these good trucks and how far is it from Waikele shopping outlets.

Hello!! The Waikele Premium Outlets is on the other side of the main street (Lumiaina St). If you get dropped off at the outlets it’s about a 5 min walk. There are a few food trucks in the Waikele Premium Outlets and a few across the street at the Waikele Center, but the “What the Truck” event is only held on the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Fridays of the month at the Waikele Center. If your schedule allows you to visit the Waikele Premium Outlets on Friday 12/1 or Friday 12/15 (depending on your stay) that’s when you’ll catch the event and more options. We hope this helps.
