Aloha! The food on Oahu is as diverse as its landscapes. For the first time, I will take you All Around Oahu Food Tour to explore Hawaii’s diverse flavors! That means we tour all of Oahu, eating from one end of the island to the other. We tried some of the best foods, met the locals and tourists, enjoyed the scenic views, and came to understand why people love this island I grew up on. Are you ready to go on this food tour part 1? Also, someone special to me is ready to make her vlogging debut. I will be eating with my Mom, she happens to be an expert in Filipino food :)

Just found your channel. I was born and raised in Honolulu, part Hawaiian/Chinese. I've lived on the mainland for a lot of years. Love all the places you go to...miss the local food...and seeing some of the island is a huge bonus. You have a very attractive Mom...I thought she was Japanese, at first...Thanks for visiting all the yummy places and eating the awesome food that can only be found back home.

Been on the mainland since 82. I get homesick watching your videos. In the 70s I used to go to a restaurant in Waipahu that served Hawaiian and Filipino food. Food there is so ono. Been to rainbow drive in at kapahuhu drive a few times. I miss the oxtail soup a zippoys. I like your videos. They bring back life in Hawaii to me.
Mahalo for watching and oh.. I was born a year later when you left Hawaii and I enjoy hearing all the old school stories. Esp with food and Rainbow Drive Inn still sells iconic vintage shirts. Hope you're able to visit the islands again.
@@SeanKaleponi thank for putting up these videos. I used to go to another Hawaiian restaurant long ago. It was called the people’s cafe or people’s restaurant. It was on nuuanu st. Just before the lunalilo freeway. Longs drugs was behind it. They served real Hawaiian food there. They even had naau, squid luau, opihi, I used to go to McCully market for fresh made lau lau on Saturdays. Broke the mouth. I think I better go home to visit my brothers and go to all the places I used to go before I get too old. Keep the videos coming.

I was in Oahu two weeks ago (missing it very much). We got to go around the island and we stopped by Kaya’s kitchen to get the butter mochi. If it wasn’t for this video, I don’t think I would’ve stopped. We also tried Elena’s in Waipahu and it was pretty good too. A lot of the places we tried while in Oahu was based on your videos so mahalo/salamat/thank you for making them and helping us try some of the best foods on the island! I can’t wait to go back! 🤙🏼 💟

Bruhhh what an epic food tour. Appreciate this long form vid n effort in making these in a shorts world. Especially on the north n west sides where few travel too. I would have ordered almost exact stuff you guys did but I stay away from fried poke cuz hard to be not too dry, sauce is the key, but gotta use the old poke somewhere. Also love your truthful opinions on where u think is the best to you.

We arrived in Hawaii in March 23, 2023 and one of the first places we wanted to hit up with Joe’s grill eXpress! So in March 25 we finally made it and it was worth every effort to get here! The special local moco, was to die for
But way too much food! You can share your plate with somebody else. And the staff and service were phenomenal. Love it here, and I suggest no matter who you are when you come to Hawaii make sure you stop at Joe’s Grill express.

Store fire (1st degree arson) about summer 2018, then battle back and forth with the insurance company, then covid made for supply chain slowdowns. As far as i know they have reopened the store several weeks ago (confirmed: reopened the store in early Dec 2022)!
