That "it's like playing creative in survival" idea, ever since I really started getting into HC 2 years ago (and especially this past year, and esp last months, still becoming more and more of a fan), that line bothers me a bit now. I fully expected the fanart for this week to be little baby-Doc pouting and crying on his little sky-island while the Ore-Snatcher is running around on the ground.
This is like a Hermitcraft edition of the Count of Monte Cristo. A man unjustly jailed on a tiny island figures out how to circumvent the walls of his prison, gains a vast fortune, and returns to exact vengeance on those who wronged him. The GOAT of Learnèd Redstone, perhaps?
If this was a hermitcraft story-line, I would accuse the authors of lazy writing. The technical genius gets isolated with very few resources in a dangerous environment - yet still he overcomes every obstacle and surprises his enemies with a sudden strenght nobody would have anticipated. This is just the plot of the movie Iron Man 1.
Well, it's not like the concept of giving a genius very little to work with and that said genius managing to thrive despite the odds doesn't belong to Iron Man. That exact concept is like, the main plotline of a 150 year old book by Jules Verne called ''The Mysterious Island.''
I mean if Bdubs likes Skyblock that much, perhaps your tnt excavation expertise could help him turn his entire base into a exiting skyblock experience?
Plot twist: Doc has been the ore snatcher all along to give reason to his getting revenge on the hermits, knowing they'd do something like this to him eventually #FreeTheGoat
"I think i chopped one tree the whole season" Doc, are you forgetting the several-day long journey you spent JUST chopping trees for big wood? Remember the boxer with the beautiful backline?!
"Clicky Clacky Ego Rocks" gave me a coughing fit I laughed so much xD also two weeks up the top of a pillar is going to give Doc some serious philosopher cred. ETA at 15:00 - sounding very much like a certain ogre with all this wanting to be left alone in the swamp
Doc, you have to appeal, Bdubs doesn't have the authority to sit as a judge. He has a felony flimflam charge that he was convicted on the last time he was in a courthouse. That makes him ineligible to be a judge.
Doc, my Doc, your going about this the wrong way. You don't need more enemies. You need more Allies. You are a very rich goat, so you could place a very hefty bounty on the ore snatcher's head and everyone would hunt then down. And let's for every block that goes missing the bounty goes down, making your stress everyone's stress.
What I'm seeing from the chest Cleo gave you: -You can use some of the iron and the dripstone to get enough lava to make a nether portal. With that you could get access to more stuff, or just run home on tiny paths to grab more stuff. - Hey, there's enough stuff for flying machines in there!
@6stringstorulethemall967 Now watch as someone (maybe even the ore snatcher) connects the floating island to the ground with "borrowed diamond ore" to loophole the loophole
So, I know the 'lore' is that Doc and Grian are always at odds, if for no other reason that it's fun and funny, but consider: Grian has a *lot* of experience running his 'Skynet' in the Life series, and this seems like the perfect chance for a truly mischievous team-up no one would see coming...
On the one hand, the Life Series has no rules against explosion griefing since it's an intrinsically temporary world, while Hermitcraft has a "you blow it up you fix it" policy (the *_OBLITERATE!_* incident during Demise), so a Skynet-like contraption is implicitly verboten (Doc's sentence would be extended in the process of fixing what he blew up, anyway). On the other hand, _entity based_ shenanigans are fair game (see: the Boatem Bombs and Grian's "eggcelent invention")...
I won't lie, I love Skyblock series so this is an unexpected delight to see Doc do an unplanned one. It's wild how going back to basics raises the tension so much- I haven't been that invested in a sapling in ages. Honestly, Cleo putting you so close to a swamp was a pretty generous location.
As soon as I saw that sheep in the distance, I knew Doc was going to steal it with the lead. I'm surprised he didn't snag the chicken as well... Ren: "Dude, you have a floating cobble platform, infinite water, infinite lava, a mob farm, an exploding cobble generator, trees, and a sheep. How long have you been up here?" Doc: "Three hours." If Doc doesn't find a way to turn his skyblock base into a flying machine by the end of his sentence, I'll be surprised. Imagine everyone's shock when he just comes flying back over the shopping district, raining terror and destruction...
First of all: Happy Birthday, Doc! Don't let them ruin your birthday! Second: I think you should sue everybody who's even trying to make you touch the ground during your 2 weeks. Make a list with all situations and people involved and sue every single one of them afterwards. They called you petty before? Now, for the first time give them a reason to. Make them regret. All of them!
As much this is a terrible punishment for the goat, I’ll have to admit I was really excited for this episode. Seeing doc playing skyblock just feels so cool
Messing with Redstone is already across the line. Messing with Redstone in someone's base is totally beyond the pale. The ore snatcher needs to get sued and sentenced to a couple months of Skyblock at the hands of the Goat.

Happy birthday Doc! Leaves in a tree and water in a river aren’t “ground” BUT you can make your skyBlock stuff 1 block off the “ground” instead of way up in the sky. That will upset many hermits
As others have said, it would be pretty simple for another hermit to kill the pig while Doc is riding it, leading to him touching the ground and oops, that's another week!
The sign the thief used was warped wood for the sign. It might be possible to find likely suspects based on who would have warped wood on them at the time, considering it isn’t a terribly common thing to keep in your inventory. Beyond that, signs are crafted in 3s, if an inventory is seen with 2 warped signs that could potentially be evidence.
The Timing ist interesting, you can See Docs Redstone in top of the Diamond ore at 7.05 But after the Clip with Cleo in the next Scene, at 16.03 the Diamond ore ist gone. Now the question ist how much time past between the Clips and if there was more than a day Delay between the Clips. If so then this isn't helpful at all but otherwise, Doc could start eliminating people Out of the suspects list, who weren't online in this time frame.
I just had a horrible thought… All the ore snatcher has to do is remove your water source while you’re at the bottom gathering stuff and you’re screwed! Be careful out there when you’re gathering stuff in the ground, Doc!
What Doc needs now more then ever is allies, real allies. he's been too isolated this season and hasn't gotten connected with the other hermits as much so he doesn't have a crew i.e. the neighbourhood, magical mountain, the postal group etc... and its costing him since no one on the server is really driven to defend him. (except maybe his husband)
Unfortunately he does get to use an ender chest in Pearl's video. He grabs a goat horn in a panic before being pulled away on his escort Llama, then tries to shift-click something out of it as he passed towards the exit, causing him to dismount the animal and touch the ground. Then a creeper blew him up
"Man this ressource management is also freaking annoying, like you know - I toss shulker boxes away..." Doc while crafting a double chest out of hand chopped cherry wood. Truely the GOAT if you ask me. What an epic punshline! Thanks for this amazing episode Doc! I cant wait to see in which creazy scientist way you and the Hivemind will escalate up there. I bet the Hermits will begg you to come down - or to 'calm' down. 😂😂
Between 7:05 and 16:15 the diamond ore block gets snatched, and if this is a single segment (or atleast a few minutes in between), this is proof that Cleo is not the ore snatcher… or worse… she is in kahoots by drawing you away
I still dont think Cleo gets it. She thinks its about the diamond block itself, not about the redstone touching and messing with all your hard work. You might need to gift her a pig so you can teach her again.
I can just imagine the taglines for this story: "A man, wrongfully convicted of a crime he totally committed, vows to find the ones responsible and wreak his revenge." Alternatively: "Grown manbaby whines about about his actions having consequences, then pledges to do even more heinous things in response." At least Bdubs will get content out of the ensuing trials. Happy Birthday Doc.
"At least Bdubs will get content out of the ensuing trials." Not if Doc sues Bdubs first. Bdubs obviously can't judge his own trial, so it falls to another government authority. The post office is technically a shop, not a government body, meaning the only other government agency on the server is the Permit Office. Grian, who notoriously hates doing Permit Office work, puts off holding the trial for months, and in the meantime, Bdubs can't judge any other cases because his integrity would be rightly called into question. Doc wouldn't even have to win the lawsuit to deny Bdubs content.
What I like about sky block is that every resource is valuable. Even the cobble. Any inch of progress is done intentionally and with risk. In normal vanilla, resources is abundant and easily gathered. I got so happy seeing the cobble platform hahah. And thinking of loopholes with getting the oak saplings xD. Thoroughly enjoying this.
“I’m a nice guy!” *flashbacks to building a literal charged creeper cannon to a neighbor he found too annoying in a previous life* …yeah! You’re a really nice guy! :P
bdubs did a really good job, coming up with your punishment. Seems it really is a punishment. Also love the irony of stream -doc, that has an pink background and likes pink. And yt-doc, who does absolutely not want to use pink wood. ;)
Happy Birthday! What you can do is instead of having fireworks for your birthday, is you could just rain tnt on everyone's bases so they can share in the festivities
After 19 Episodes of Season 10 and several entire seasons of watching and learning from his insanely technical Redstone POV's, it's a fever dream to see Doc building a regular Cobblestone Generator lol. It's literally the first thing any player learns to exploit in the game engine.
You can go in water, you can go in boats, you can also go in carts but that might be tricky. A funny fan art would be doc standing in a water bucket like davey jones in pirates of the caribean, he could not touch land so when they met on a sand dune there was a row of water buckets. Become a pirate, master of loopholes to the rules.
Hugely entertaining video, but it also shows how basic redstone can be incorporated right from the beginning of the game. That is worth the diamond ore block! I also love how a pig's head is a part of the GOAT's base. Happy Birthday docm77 🎂
The thing about the hermits, they are too kind to ruin someones redstone, this means it was someone that knows how to remove a block without breaking the machine. The only mischievous hermit that satisfies this criteria is CUB

An orbital strike cannon would be perfect. Adjustable and targetable so he can display his power. Say blasting to top of cherry mountain to bedrock since they plan to mine it out anyway.
Then once they have seen what Doc can do. The threats come.
"Due to the increased hardships of red stone maintenance, the price for wood has now been increased to 10 shulkerboxes of sand per shulkerbox of wood."
"Free wood will be given to anyone who turns in the Ore Snatcher (except the Ore Snatcher themselves)."
My thoughts exactly
*14:58* This just proves it for once and for all. Doc is just Shrek with 12 PHDs in engineering and a god complex.
The Popo will absolutely buy out your Trim supply just so they can say "Doc hasn't restocked in two weeks" :D
Nah, that would just give them more work to do.
They don’t have that much sand
@@NathanielKolk Scar has a sand shop
@@smellycat-mw6sv yeah but it’s a shulker box of sand for one trim minimum, it is about 104 shulker boxes of sand to buy out the shop, if my memory serves me correctly
Scar is in the hospital. I suspect he will miss out entirely on those two weeks.
If Cleo really wanted to twist the knife, the record would have been Scar’s advertisement for his gravel and sand shop.

To be fair, Death Scar is clearly above ground...

@@chesspiece4257 Backrooms Remix, for extra suffering. In an auto-resetting jukebox machine below ground level (can't disable it without extending his sentence), configured to have a range far enough to cover Doc's skyblock area (they have a plugin to extend jukebox range, Tango used it extensively in Decked Out 2 last season), triggered by a "walking chicken randomizer" so Doc never knows when he's going to be _put on hold._
She should have just made a diss track for him but she's not trying to be that mean
Except it's not quite unjustly 😂

Well, goodbye to zombie Cleo base and the court house if that’s the case.
xD this reply section is literally my brain through out
If this was a hermitcraft story-line, I would accuse the authors of lazy writing.
Wow, that wouldn't play out well. Nope. Not that build, you don't touch those kinds of builds.
Happy birthday bossman, and may you rain blocks of TNT on all the enemies of the Hivemind.
Another vote for orbital strike cannon.
Just spend the next 2 weeks raining tnt on the server? 😂😂 Then they'll reduce his sentence! 😂😂
He cant... he doesnt have access to sand up there. Doc might have the most sand in storage out of everyone on the server but cant use it xD

Doc's mental drifts are absolutely hysterical! 😂
Plot twist: Doc has been the ore snatcher all along to give reason to his getting revenge on the hermits, knowing they'd do something like this to him eventually #FreeTheGoat
I've been wondering this all season!
"I think i chopped one tree the whole season" Doc, are you forgetting the several-day long journey you spent JUST chopping trees for big wood? Remember the boxer with the beautiful backline?!
Birthday of the Goat and he has to spend it isolated on an island. If only that pig was a little more careful.

Doc: If you don't get what you want, just keep whining😂
Scar most likely still hasn't spawn-proofed the bottom half of the death scar. Bridge over to it and use that as your mob farm
The longer this goes on the closer the collective server is getting to a "do not test the gods" moment with Doc
Step 1- platform over Bdub's place
Step 2- build your mob farm
Step 3- 'forget' to secure the mobs...
LOL
😂
"Clicky Clacky Ego Rocks" gave me a coughing fit I laughed so much xD also two weeks up the top of a pillar is going to give Doc some serious philosopher cred. ETA at 15:00 - sounding very much like a certain ogre with all this wanting to be left alone in the swamp
Doc: I'm the king of loopholes.
*Doesn't get into Pearl's ender chest when she visits*
Doc, you have to appeal, Bdubs doesn't have the authority to sit as a judge. He has a felony flimflam charge that he was convicted on the last time he was in a courthouse. That makes him ineligible to be a judge.
Consequences of shenanigans don't carry over from one season to the next, I guess.
@@aulvinduergard9952 of course not
Doc, my Doc, your going about this the wrong way. You don't need more enemies. You need more Allies. You are a very rich goat, so you could place a very hefty bounty on the ore snatcher's head and everyone would hunt then down. And let's for every block that goes missing the bounty goes down, making your stress everyone's stress.
What I'm seeing from the chest Cleo gave you:
-You can use some of the iron and the dripstone to get enough lava to make a nether portal. With that you could get access to more stuff, or just run home on tiny paths to grab more stuff.
- Hey, there's enough stuff for flying machines in there!
He can fly to his swamp. Its all floating in the sky and HE placed those blocks!
Not me completely forgetting that dripstone can be used for lava generating and immediately going to murder 😂
Hey there's a saddle and a carrot on a stick and there -is- was a pig under the waterfall
@6stringstorulethemall967 Now watch as someone (maybe even the ore snatcher) connects the floating island to the ground with "borrowed diamond ore" to loophole the loophole
@@VagueCastle649 Wouldn't matter, because Doc placed the actual blocks he'd be walking on, which, per Cleo's rules, make them fair game.
This is now my favourite version of skyblock. Drive-by heckling, under-the-table sand deals, and sheep abduction!
The stress is from the time needed to repair a finicky redstone machine.
The diamond ore is an afterthought.
Leave the mans machines alone.
Quite honestly, I think it would be delightful to have an entire season of hermits all doing skyblock in the same world.
"Doc, you're not allowed to touch the ground for two weeks."
Doc: "Good thing I live on the swamp thing that is a giant floating sky island anyway."
How long have you been up here?"
Doc: "Three hours."
If Doc doesn't find a way to turn his skyblock base into a flying machine by the end of his sentence, I'll be surprised. Imagine everyone's shock when he just comes flying back over the shopping district, raining terror and destruction...
Doc: I have dignity! I'll show them!
Also Doc: Dancing for his food.
His singing, Di Di Di Dee Dee 😂
Doc: I am not a baby.
Doc Later: If you do not get what you want you have to whine.
hmmm
Happy birthday BIG BABY 🎉
Joe is that you??!
-“If your feet touch the ground, it’s another week”

As much this is a terrible punishment for the goat, I’ll have to admit I was really excited for this episode. Seeing doc playing skyblock just feels so cool
Same here!
Right! I really want to see how he plays Skyblock so I was low-key glad he lost.😅
Happy birthday doc

Messing with Redstone is already across the line. Messing with Redstone in someone's base is totally beyond the pale. The ore snatcher needs to get sued and sentenced to a couple months of Skyblock at the hands of the Goat.
TYSM for sharing my comic in the video!!! That actually scared the life out of me for a sec LMAO biggest Jumpscare ever, this makes me so so happy, I’m glad you like it!!

How dare they force you to do things!! Do they not realize you are THE GOAT? #FreeTheGOAT… Happy birthday aswell, Doc! 💜

You definitely want to make sure you don't fall, so you should make a nice roomy platform to stand on. A few hundred blocks in every direction should make it nice and safe. And as a bonus, you'll give the world below some nice shade from that harsh sun. :]
doc: i can try to pillar over to things to see if i can get them
1 year later as they finish hermitcraft 10: doc is still on hermitcraft skyblock after taking many risks
BDO100 - I'm banishing you to the Sky Block Island!
Docm77 - How did you do this to me, Cleo!
Cleo - Well, I didn't do this, it was all BDO100 Ideal!
Docm77 - When I finish my Sky Island Empire! I'm banishing BDO100 to the Shadow Realm!
Happy birthday Doc! Leaves in a tree and water in a river aren’t “ground” BUT you can make your skyBlock stuff 1 block off the “ground” instead of way up in the sky. That will upset many hermits
and lead to instant sabotage with the risk of doubling his sentence
That was a rather nice touch from Cleo. They gave you the means to ride around on a pig, and the pig itself. But you killed it before even starting 😂.
As others have said, it would be pretty simple for another hermit to kill the pig while Doc is riding it, leading to him touching the ground and oops, that's another week!
Pig would just be for a quick reconnaissance, like grabbing a sapling. Besides flying machines are more doc's style
The sign the thief used was warped wood for the sign. It might be possible to find likely suspects based on who would have warped wood on them at the time, considering it isn’t a terribly common thing to keep in your inventory. Beyond that, signs are crafted in 3s, if an inventory is seen with 2 warped signs that could potentially be evidence.
guess who had a warped sign in their inventory. doc
Doc: I'm not a baby
Also Doc: An important lesson in life it to keep on whining so people give you what you want.
Like Joe said "I was the only one willing to try"
Doc is like the Hermitctaft server side boss. You can't take him on by yourself. 😂
Here's hoping we see the revival of the NHO
44:58 - If somebody places an ender chest and opens it, that's your opportunity to take something out...
Unfortunately he does get to use an ender chest in Pearl's video. He grabs a goat horn in a panic before being pulled away on his escort Llama, then tries to shift-click something out of it as he passed towards the exit, causing him to dismount the animal and touch the ground. Then a creeper blew him up
cleo is realy as nice as possible she gives you the oportunity to watch the shop for the ore snatcher and you can loop hole it
With how Doc sounds, I half-expect TNT bombers flying everywhere within the week.
only half?
@@ez_theta_z9317 In the end it may be a bit too destructive for Hermitcraft. The plan from end of video sounds way more reasonable.
"Man this ressource management is also freaking annoying, like you know - I toss shulker boxes away..."
Doc while crafting a double chest out of hand chopped cherry wood.

Seeing Doc play Skyblock makes me want Ilmango's Skyblock series to come back... it was unironically so good.
This is actually the most thrilling and captivating sky block series I’ve seen. The water column extraction missions were nail biters!
I can just imagine the taglines for this story: "A man, wrongfully convicted of a crime he totally committed, vows to find the ones responsible and wreak his revenge."
Alternatively: "Grown manbaby whines about about his actions having consequences, then pledges to do even more heinous things in response."
At least Bdubs will get content out of the ensuing trials.
Happy Birthday Doc.
ITs Not about the Pig ITS that ppl are qrecking hours and hours of Redstone work
Could be referring to Hermitcraft, could be referring to the US. What a crazy time we live in.
"At least Bdubs will get content out of the ensuing trials."
Not if Doc sues Bdubs first.
One of the hermits must have realized last season, that when doc is annoyed he's incredibly funny to watch😆
“I’m a nice guy!”

bdubs did a really good job, coming up with your punishment.
This
After 19 Episodes of Season 10 and several entire seasons of watching and learning from his insanely technical Redstone POV's, it's a fever dream to see Doc building a regular Cobblestone Generator lol.
Doc ping ponging between absolute despair and maniacal confidence is wonderful to see. Happy Birthday to the one and only GOAT.
Unless there is a button
Agreed. I’d put money on it being cub
they did break the redstone though, the machine broke in one of the earlier instances
