  • The next set of videos doesn't really have a direction of what it's trying to capture when it comes to Japan. My two dear friends Eric and Christina happened to be also traveling in Japan while I was there. And they're also coming from the Bay Area! It's amazing when you can hang out with your friends somewhere you don't usually hang out - in another friggin' country! So we met in Kyoto and just walked and talked. Some of these moments were filmed for this set here.
We revisited a site that was in a previous installment of my series - Fushimi Inari, known for their famous vast arrays of orange torii gates. This time, we got there in the middle of the day, a stark contrast from the other time I went at sunrise. There were so many people at the base of the shrine, but a great thing is you can hike up some and the numbers start to go down. We didn't head for the peak this time but I can always enjoy a revisit of beautiful places.
We then did a little food and drink tour around Kyoto. Yoko met up with us at the last tour location, which was a drink spot with many many Japanese whisky options. We ended the night with yakitori, always an appropriate option for late night delights. I didn't capture the latter part of this day and just enjoyed the evening with a few of my favorite people.
This Bay/Kyoto linkup to be continued...
