    I agree i hate that underwear doesnt last long. Its hard to find comfy ones. Sometimes sucks being a woman, i wear 1 in day and 1 in night often.

    I completely agree about the 7 husbands of Evelyn Hugo! I saw it in stores many times and wasn’t intrigued at all until a friend recommended it and I really enjoyed it!

    You've convinced me to read the seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo. The title also made me hesitant, despite everyone recommending it. Happy belated birthday!

    Just wanted to say that I appreciate you talking about what books you're reading/have read. I have ended up reading a lot more books because of you! I plan to check out It Ain't Over Til the Bisexual Speaks because it sounds really interesting 😄

    Just when I think I have nothing more to declutter, I still find more stuff lol. I found a lot more to get rid of both physically and electronically this month

    I don't know if Pansy Co ships to Germany (or if they'd be your style) but I've had two pairs of their briefs since 2018 and they are still going strong. When they do finally die, they're fully compostable.

    My undies last for an extremely long time.
    They are from Victoria's Secret, made in Sri Lanka, and most were gifted to me. I have way too many, because they last so long. Lol

    Funny you should say two years. I just discovered holes and fabric thinning in my two years old jeans. I think it’s totally acceptable!

    I think how one wears clothes matters. I have been wearing the same clothes for many years and none have holes or are ripped. Just go easy on them and you would be pleasantly surprised. 😊

      Generally yes, but how can I go easy on clothes?? Like yes, I should not rip them on thorns and slide down hills on my butt but other than that I could just move less and that is not really a solution...

    • @Thomas-Chin10
      @Thomas-Chin10 4 місяці тому +4

      @@ecofriendlia Thank you for your response, and there is no easy answer on "how to go easy on clothes" because I don't know your lifestyle. Speaking for myself, I go running every other day and I wear gym clothes. Once I am done, I wear normal clothes just like everyone else. Washing does cause wear and tear and I only use washing machine for large pieces. I hand-wash some and I don't wring them, just squeeze and then put on hangers. Other than that, I have no secret. Some of my clothes are more than ten years old and are still in great condition.:)

    That whole all the way through the book.. stood out to me.. maybe it was used as a prop. for a famous tv show.. ‘Orange is the new black’ had scenes where books were hung everywhere as a metaphor memorial in the riot scenes. I wonder where all those props went as donations….?Maybe ?🤔

    Garments should last Three years for Adults.
    Unfortunately most of us want new garments every season. We have huge collections of seasonal clothing. That we wear sometimes only once .
    Maybe if we had an all year collection that we could layer up and down. Dress up and down it wouldn’t be so bad .

    I’m surprised you did not use the bag & Upcycle ♻️ it for cleaning rags😊

    • @samanthatheminimalist
      @samanthatheminimalist 4 місяці тому +6

      Sometimes tote bag material is too rough/water resistant for that reuse.

    • @ecofriendlia
      @ecofriendlia  4 місяці тому +14

      Plus we just have more than enough cleaning rags. But just so you know: I always collect all the fabric and clothes stuff that can't be used anymore and keep it in my apartment for a while and sometimes if I have an idea or just need a piece of fabric to clean or to upcycle I get it from this pile of "trash" 😊 so I always reuse as much as I can use and try to recycle the rest which is harder than it should be for fabric...

    Poor book, it was stabbed! A cabin in the mountains? That sounds amaizing 🤩 I got rid of a few books i'm never going to read again and some t-shirts in bad condition. I am already getting in the no-spending mood for my next trip. I need to remind myself "stop buying crap" (and by crap I mean useless souveniers)

    Hi ! About Decathlon, i totally agree that it's not a sustainable option...! They do have amazing customer service though, so i'm pretty sure you can return it if you're not happy with it :)
    I got a passion for camping/hiking gear and i guess that thermarest is probably the best option as it's made in the EU and you have a life warranty. Also, i guess you know but when it's hot you have to deflate your matress during the day so it doesn't expload.
    Also, i feel sorry for you about the pants...you don't seem that emotional, personnally i always regret a piece of clothing that was just perfect uniform for me.
    Have a good week ! thank you so much for your work.

    • @ecofriendlia
      @ecofriendlia  4 місяці тому +2

      Yes, we always deflate the mattress during the day because it has happened too often 😩 but this time, that wasn't enough I guess and it wasn't a Thermarest mattress. We have some Thermarest mattresses though, and are glad they have a life long warranty. But the ones we zave sadly take up so much space.
      I think I wasn't too emotional because I have seen it coming for a few months now that the pants will have a hole soon but I agree, it's pretty sad because it is so hard to find these "perfect" pieces 😊

    Oh I personally don't find Decathlon to have really shit products! I really really like some of their stuff. I find that its good quality for the price, for certain products (like not socks, and not their entry level cheapest stuff. But the middle/high range). Of course I live in France, so everything I want to buy from them I have easily found on Vinted, maybe if I bought it new I would feel like the price/quality wasn't worth it. But I have an expensive lightweight puffy coat, and a decathlon mt 100 puffy coat, and the decathlon one is warmer and more durable and i have worn it on all my hiking trips.
