Just bought my lander 3 lunar limited edition! My 17 year old son was killed July 4th by a drunk driver and he LOVED space! He had a $7000 telescope that could do astrophotography and so much more and he always took pictures of the moon and distant galaxies. I’ve been waiting for this to drop because I was going to surprise him with this knife, but now that he’s no longer here my mother bought the knife for me, in his memory, for my birthday present in October. I will never cut a single thing with the knife. This knife will be framed with his graduating class shirt of 2025 that his high school dedicated to him. They have his lacrosse number, 89, on the right sleeve with his name below his number. I can’t put into words how happy I am the knife was still available!

I live in St. Louis and saw the Lulu in a display case at GPKnives. I silently drooled over it. Beautiful and functional design, but not a fan of magnacut. A Lulu in 14c28n sounds amazing.
The concern I have with companies that rely on kickstarter to launch products is that if they don't have the cash to launch their own product, that means they are likely not to have the cash to back their product in the event of a quality issue. We saw this very recently with one of Liong Mah's kickstarter knives that had numerous delays, then came out with quality issues, and rather than do the right thing and return them to the OEM, he shipped them to the customers who already paid for them. There are multiple reports of people who were denied a refund for their knife because he didn't have the money to accept returns. I get that its the new hip way to launch products, and if everything goes well it works fine. However, as an old business kinda guy, the concern for me in spending my dollars is if something goes wrong, will Joe Schmoe internet knife guy have the funds available to make it right if he didn't have the funds to make it in the first place.
This is a totally fair question and concern. I can't speak for any other makers/designers/companies, but here at Knafs we try really, really hard to get it right. And we try really, really hard to make it right if it's wrong. We run the business cash positive, and we keep a layer of emergency funds for a rainy day. Can we mitigate all the risk of creating things? Nope. Will we get it right every time? Nope. But we try our darndest. -Ben

@@knafs_co Ben, if I had 10% of your experience, connections, and visibility in the knife industry, I would totally start a knife company… But if I had 30% or more of those, I’d totally chicken out 👍 RESPECT.
Also, respect and gratitude for the way you addressed the Yipper situation!

The merlin is fucking WILD...
Nothing like having an exposed blade on your belt.
Have you guys thought about making premium Knafs? Knives etc. I'm pretty sure there's definitely a market for it. I mean I wouldn't mind a Lander 3 in magnacut and titanium.
Stop buying kickstarter items so the bigger guys like ben can make more money... fake
First!
Why Kickstarter? Because it’s a zero risk option. Instead of making a bunch and hoping they all same vs pre selling them and making maybe 10-30% extra.
