The reason the mission isnt completing is because you flew over 10km away from the initial location of the bounty mission. The "targets last known location" marker should not be visible when you kill the target. That effectively means you are confined to a bubble of 10km radius, if the target dies outside that radius the mission wont complete. lol
Will leaving the 10km bubble auto fail the bounty, or can you drag them back inside to finish? I ask, because I haven't been able to get 4.0 to work in a week
@ it will not fail the mission, it just bugs out and won’t complete. You can lure the target back into the 10km radius and the mission will complete like normal.
@Solar546 they do no damage to the ship. If the ship has strong enough power plants no amount of shooting is going to disable it in time because it will regen faster than you can disable. The overdid it. As usual. I'm glad it seems fair to you though. Your happiness is the most important thing :)

If you equip your ship with salvaged/looted weapons and components, does it "save" the configuration when you claim insurance? For example if your Guardian with Absolutions gets blown up, do you get it back with weapons or do you have to loot them again?
No, it saves, you can Claim the ship and get the Absolutions back. If you manually equip components you just store it and change something else, save it and it will keep the upgraded component.
So you CAN keep the ship... 2 methods. 1. If you have a ship it will fit in (not in game for the 400i yet i don't think) you can store the ship containing the stolen ship and it will go to your kiosk (sometimes lol I've done this with things that fit on my corsair but i believe its a bug). mechanics for stealing and owning are in game in this case though lol 2. and less likely to work cause sometimes the ship will still disappear... PARK IT in your hangar at your home world. THAT is your PERSISTANT hangar. It should stay for a while if not indefinitely.
I've never thought about it before, but could you theoretically disable a ship, take command of it, fly it to a hangar, scrap all the guns and components from it and sell them from your lift? Probably not worth it, I'm assuming. I don't remember components costing THAT much.
If you steal a ship inside yela asteroidi belt you can Jump on yela grimex and asteroid target.if you try tò Jump cellin daimar or crusader the ship disappear

Holy cow, this MM stuff makes Starfield dogfights feel fast and realistic by comparison. Your ships are hugging each other like bumper cars at a cheap carnival lol. Oh man, the depths SC has fallen to.
even if they was free nobody would use them.. far better off and faster to soft death a ship than to use those.

Boarded ships are mostly empty of loot, cannot be kept and don't complete missions, just can be looted for components. For a space game, that's a VERY poor game loop that should have been there almost from the start.
I hate the weapon selection in SC, also there is absolutely no valid description or stats on the weapons.. it should have at least damage per hit and rate of fire imo, basics. Like imagine playing an rpg and you get a weapon, then have no idea what damage it does, with what stat the damage scales etc :) kind meh
It was just the devs pitiful attempt to "force" people to play in pyro, but it of course has backfired and failed miserably, pyro has already been mostly abandoned and hardly anyone is there now.
They absolutely can be purchased. Find someone who has them and offer to buy them. I have NDB-30 and NDB-28 if anyone wants them. 300k for a full F8C set (4 of each)

I thought distortion weapons were supposed to be THE weapon for taking down shields? how have they now become completely useless at their one job
their job is to stop components from functioning, not take down shields
This was always my understanding as well, that they should be more effective against shields than lasers

seems to be good for soft killing ships? pair of size 3 Ardor can take out shields in 1 pass.
why not laser scattergun to pair with distortion
There are no S4 or 5 laser scatterguns, only up to S3.

Yes, but I believe they significantly nerfed component sell prices as a temporary nerf for component insurance fraud
I believe you cant get hangar acces in a ship you dont own. But you can take it to any outpost and store components there i guess.
