I spent four years working on F-15A/B’s at Langley AFB 76-80. I was an aircraft electrician. Spent many a bitter cold nights and hot muggy days working on them. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I loved the Air Force!
fantastic footage, seeing the year most of those F-15E's were built 1991 onwards they looks just as immaculate & awesome as they did the first time i saw them at Lakenheath flying with F-111F's in 1992
Great video and a good catch. I much prefer to hear the ATC or just the engine sounds, instead of people trying to commentate and screaming into the mis for no reason.
Plenty of footage of all types of F-15 making afterburner take offs. I did read in Lou Drendel’s book that 350 kts is the max gear down speed, and during the Streak Eagle time-to-climb record breaking project, pilots had to sweat out the gear indicators and hope they got the doors closed by 350 kts, which came FAST with the hot rodded F-15A that flew without paint for the record breaking flights.
For an airframe built in 1980s this aircraft is long overdue to be replace. Theres no reason why they couldn't design a F-35 A version with two engines and two seats to replace the F15E.
@happycanayjian1582 uh yeah, which is exactly what they did when they thought up the concept of the F-35 and started designing it to be built. It's been done before and it'll be done again.
@@TheJustUsLeague Sure but you said “there’s no reason”…. There are, quite literally, billions of reasons why not to design a twin-engine, two seat variant of the F-35A to replace the active F-15E. I know both math and economics can be hard for some people….
General Chuck Yeager when he took his last flight in the backseat of an F-15 at 80 years of age and the crew chief was explaining AOA to him, He replied my god man if I don't understand AOA I shouldn't be strapped to this thing.. Priceless
It's the best investment ever and a great deterence insurance policy. It's worked for decades. You should be proud and appreciate where your freedom comes from.
What an old, obsolescent , out of dated airplane? It's might be the end of its life. F15 was developed in 1970,s 50 years ago Perhaps. It is older than the most of person who see this video.

Awesome aircraft with a phenomenal win record and it's equally because of your hard work. Thank you for your service to this great country!!
So what did they have for lunch?
Awesome footage great to see them up close & personal

36:50 They are not supposed to start the afterburner while the landing gear is down, right ?

I wonder what preforms an F-15 would have if it was fitted with F-22 engines and vectoring nozzles.
good question...it would be pretty much like the new F-15 EX
Go look up the F-15stol/mtd
Planes look like they just came out of the paint shop.

When WW3 cracks off, what jet would you want to be flying?
Jet ski in Fiji ?
annoying, go away. Just the sound of the Jets!😏😏😏
F35 lift off doing the Routine Patrols
"A mass LUNCH of 28 aircraft"????????????????

Wouldn't it be a "mass launch of 28 aircraft"?
Yeah, I don't think English is his first language at all.😮

B52, F-15, F-126, F-18 ARE AT THE EDGE OF "THE BONE YARD". SPEND $$$ ON NGAD GEN-6 , MORE F-22'S, AND expediting the B-21 PRODUCTION & CERTIFICATION.
We need to bring our resources back to the U.S. you European alliances protect your own homeland
2 amraams, 2 aim9s.....strike eagles with no strike ??? what gives ?
going in feb
It’s launch..not lunch 🥙
American taxpayers “you’re welcome”

Yeah, that would be cheap….said no one ever. You’re talking about designing an entirely different, $30B+ airplane.

F 15 X
There is a reason the F-16 is the most successful fighter jet platform. It's not from having two thirsty engines and being expensive.
It's launch not lunch..🤔😳 Beep beep. Warning-Warning! Brain stall.. 🧠💀 Brain stall.. 🧠😴
The squawk box is annoying, go away. Just the sound of the Jets!
Why are our upgrades in the U.K. ?...so stupid

Priceless
The USAF was formed for air superiority mainly to back up naval aviation to ensure no one gets a six on the primary strike force...seems to work well
The F35 is such an ugly aircraft.

I’m shocked there isn’t more kids screaming death threats at you, personally I wouldn’t say it’s ugly but it’s def not a favorite of mine

WHAT!!!!!!!
What a waste of taxpayers money for something that will never actually be used except to gather dust in a museum eventually..

It's not your money💰💰💰why worry about it 😂😂😂
Thanks Boris.

Umm do you know what a F 15X is
I missed a letter F15 EX
It's still probably got a better win/loss ratio than you do.
