Trapper knives are STILL the favorites knife for trappers everywhere, and there are still a LOT of us. Nothing is as good as a clip point and a spay blade, better known as a skinning blade, for removing animal pelts. A real Trapper ALWAYS has these two blades. The Case XX knives on this list are excellent. The Boker can be useful. The rest are pure junk.
Sorry but that Boker gentlemens slip joint is not a Trapper. And to say that the Schrade single blade Trapper is runner up to the number 1 pick is downright bs. Case quality for fit and finish has gone down the drain over the last 20 years and not worth the extra cost. I'll stick with Schrade, Winchester, Remington, for my Trapper needs.
8:30 minutes shows a trapper and a stockman in the same rant...and the trapper shown isnt the lock back version..bit thrown together video with the help of AI, Geeeez

Unless you have to skin your animals out in the woods, why would you go for a jack knife over a fixed blade skinning knife?
This video is for people who call customer service for the quality of the conversation. Open the pod doors Hal.
I’m a Rough Rider trapper fan. Rough Rider Trappers are in whole level above Winchester, Imperial and some Case knives.
A lot of wrong, misleading information and photos in this video. Look elsewhere for good, cold hard recommendations. Peace.
Satisfied with our Rough Ryders.
Excelente navaja acabo de conprar ❤
Have you tried one of my woodbooger belt carry trapper sheaths yet?

How ridiculous . These kind of videos are such BS
Slip joint knives repetededly referred to as a lock back is just one example of the idiocy
3cr is a pretty crap steel. Also, Case isn't at the top of the list for best trappers.

The steel on the current Schrades is Chinese and not very good.
