Partial ride around the line on the newly repowered open car.

- The maiden run of the open car after its repowering, taken in July of 2021. This little fella really gets up and moves now, even if it doesn't have much tractive effort due to being so light. Toward the end of the video you will be riding on the section of the line that as of this writing no longer exists, because I have re-routed the mainline in that section. Observant viewers will see the progress on the new roadbed off to the right, and also notice that the material yard stub track has been removed in preparation for moving the switch. More on that project in a later video!

Wonderful property and setting. Looks like a lot of effort has gone into it so far!
Thank you!
Lovely railway!
What a great trolley system you have on your property I look forward to more videos of this railroad in the future
BISOUS BONJOUR DE LA FRANCE BIENVENUE JADORE CONTINUER MERCI
I like the camera position showing the rail car, gives it that feel that I'm riding in it myself.
Thanks for sharing 👍
I'll try to make more that way, thanks
I could watch these for hours. Congrats on all that hard work and the love of the rails.
Thank you very much and thanks for watching!
These are excellent videos that I enjoy very much! I especially like your switch points. This one made my day. Perfect with a cup of coffee!
Thanks!
Thank you for this channel, I recently discovered it.
Glad you enjoy it!
So glad to see more and more videos being posted here again. Would love to see this in person some day! about 10+yrs ago I helped a friend work on his 18" gauge here in NH and it was a blast. That one covered about 40 acres.
Recently discovered your channel on the Polish narrow gauge railfan group. It is the most impressive miniature railway I have seen ever. Truly amazing! Everyone are impressed!
Thank you very much!
Other than the bad rails needing attention, a great relaxing feel
Still more !! What a wonderful day.
Just came across your channel, WOW. I get tired just thinking about all the work you have done on this project.
Its a lot of work, but enjoyable work!
I subscribed to the channel because it appeared in my favorite video. It's amazing. There are people in Japan who run similar trains, but the land is small and small. There are various vehicles on the railroad here. We will continue to watch videos from Japan.!
That is wonderful, I hope to visit there someday!! Cheers :)
@@CNW4145 Here is a video of laying a railroad track in my yard in Japan and drawing an overhead wire to run my own electric locomotive and train. Although narrow, the movement is similar to the real thing. URL ua-cam.com/users/c%E6%A1%9C%E8%B0%B7%E8%BB%BD%E4%BE%BF%E9%89%84%E9%81%93sakuradani
You've really been working wonders on the condition of the right'oway... the RRVT has one hell of a track gang! Very curious to see how it all looks with the new alignment. What prompted the re-routing of the mainline?
I am the track gang, so thank you! The mainline was rerouted to get rid of a nasty S curve that I have never liked. All of the ties under that curve were rotted and about to start causing wide gauge problems. Rather than fixing the existing track, I had the dumb idea to build a totally new line to bypass it- in the process creating 2 new bridges and a new switch. It a whole lot of work but its gonna be really cool.
@@CNW4145 sir please say me which iron for rail
This car really moves👍
Tramvaje z Prahy.
Supongo eres ingeniero, no es fácil ni siquiera hacer una vía, más complicado aún realizar esa locomotora electrica 👍
Heck yeah !!!
Thanks👍
1:45 How many mph in speed was that? That's nice! Must've been fun!
Probably about 10 mph, but it looks much faster as this car has no suspension at all so it rides quite rough. Adds to the excitement of the ride lol
Thanks
I'm a new follower but I am curious of history of all this and all the vehicles you own. Where you are located? Is it open to the public?
It is not open to the public due to insurance reasons. At some point I am planning to make a complete "history of" video.
I'd pay $50 for a haunted Halloween ride.
Hello ! i have a little question ... what type of brake system do you have on theses locomotives ?
The brake system consists of cylinders that push on wood blocks against the wheels, the cylinders are operated by a variable pressure valve controlled by the operator. I'll make a video about the trucks so you can see how it works.
is it possible to stand up while its moving lmao
I’m curious about the electric power system. I was looking at the volt and amp meters, when you run this system does it greatly affect your electric bill?
It really doesn't, electricity is pretty cheap here- about 6 cents a Kwh. I pay about $5 a month for the usage, most of the bill is service charges!
@@CNW4145 how fast is tram car
👍🌹👍
Love the videos. So it’s 240 v ac over head transformed to 24 v dc onboard the cars ? Thank you.
Yes, but 36V instead of 24
@@CNW4145 The buzz when powering is the PWM drive (or as it is a train, should we call a chopper?), right? How much power in the engine/engines?
Oh, im watching this right now! Very nice indeed ua-cam.com/video/X1oACibjUvU/v-deo.html
