      Did you do runs when standard and then at each sort of stage / mod of the build? Just interested. I’m in the uk so a lot of differences when it comes to builds and what packages. People usually do the bare minimum but go for the most 😂 still takes me forever working out the whp as we use the bhp figure mostly on dyno/rolling roads. The standard pump fuel in the uk is I believe a bit better for the shell vpower 99 we have. The guys explained it to me before on here but so 89 you have is our 95 Ron? And our 98ron is your 92/95? No 99ron like us in the uk but you then have ethanol at the pump. Which the uk seems 20 years behind on. 😂

    This video shows exactly why golfs and other vag cars have become so popular. Pretty cheap and easy to get power out of them especially on a stock motor. Just have to look at what the galano guys have achieved with their yellow bird mk7.5. Stock block world record and now a 8.8sec with a built motor on what is still basically a street car.

What is the ultimate DD turbo set up? I have a built motor R, current on aG25-660 (speed limited to 165k rpm by Garrett which is around ~30psi)...car is great on full E right now but would like to make a bit more power to take advantage of the built motor....car is a DD. Is the XL the biggest you'd go....could you consider a 770? Could you make 600whp on a DD friendly set up or is that going to be so laggy you'd hate it. I can already say with fueling mods their is a bit of inconvenience filling up frequently on E and this is with the 930MPI and RS3 brushless LPFP.

    10:23 he’ll be needing motor mounts 😬 anyone know the HP loss from the FWD “Dyno” mode and the AWD on the street? At least 20 hp loss right?

      The R basically runs in FWD mode until it breaks traction. What power numbers were shown is pretty accurate.

    • @COMotorsports
      @COMotorsports  2 місяці тому +1

      @@MeltingRubberZ28 Exactly.. if this was on a true linked AWD dyno, the front wheels would be the only wheels providing power to the ground anyways so it's not really much difference. The only difference would be the weight of the drums. But this is a 3000lb drum so it would end up being very similar. Companies like Iroz have stopped dynoing their cars in AWD as they've proven the difference is negligible and not worth the extra effort hooking up the rear hubs.

    DON'T assume E10 from the pumps, all petrol suppliers will tell you "up to E10". So, test your local fuel frequently....year round I have seen from a low of 31% to a high of 11.3% for content. ALWAYS test your e85 pump fuel, every fill up.

    • @COMotorsports

      We test it, and these cars specifically are not relying on it.

    I’m genuinely surprised at how few “premade” water/methanol kits there are for mk7 VAGs. Considering how much work it took to get me Abarth dialed in on meth, mostly fiddling with the kit, I sort of expected it being a mostly unsupported platform.
    That said, water/meth is very likely the reason why my engine is in one piece today.

    I really think you should put warning stickers on all these high power cars you are putting out when we have the MVOC rally. That way the rest of us will know not to mess with them and get embarrassed.
