I just received my Guardian based on your review. Thanks for that. One thing I noticed was when I plugged in my iPad with its usb-c to usb-c cable, it started to charge the iPad.as you mentioned, the port on yours may be defective. Cheers.
No problem! I was a bit surprised that Surefire didn't add USB C to the Stiletto Pro... and spending $220+ on an outdated interface is a bit insulting from a premium brand. As for the Tactician... I have a lot of EagleTac lights, and their secret sauce has always been screwing down the bezel to adjust modes. I learned from using those lights that mode switches become a 2-handed ordeal - so while the function is sound, the usability was a bit tough for me. In the end, I wanted a USB C rechargeable light from a brand i trusted so I went with the Guardian.
@@harrisonhobbies241 While I agree that the pro should be USB C, honestly I don't really care to much. I regularly use micro, C and lightning so it doesn't matter to me. Also I think the light is closer to $150 on big daddy unlimited. I would go with the Guardian but prefer a thumb switch that places the light on high, still haven't decided between the stiletto and the tactician yet. Probably get both or wait and see if there are any upgrades coming soon
Good technical advice. Like the FLIR readings. Thanks. I think I'll stick with my barrel type Surefire. 140 degree heat emission's a bit high for me. (Car seat in summer heat: Good analogy.)
Thanks! I had the same issue trying to find a review prior to purchasing mine... so I figured it was worth creating this for everyone else. As an aside - after posting video, I found that it CAN become a power bank by holding both buttons for around 5 seconds. I must have missed that in the instructions some how. :(
The lenses are plastic. However, I pocket carry this light quite a bit when i'm doing work around the house and the lenses are in perfect shape still, and scratch-free.
@@harrisonhobbies241 Thank you, I have a dirtier purpose for light - sand, clay, earth, it falls on glass and have to clean it so that there is light, as a result, scratches appear. For 99% of people this is not a problem, it pisses me off personally.

Interesting little light. Currently trying to decide between the Stiletto Pro and the Tactician when I seen this. Thx for the review.

Not much out there on this. Thank you, cheers

@Galenda Wagen Certainly, but only on the high mode. The other modes are only re-heat.
Are there mineral glass or plastic that is easily scratched?
