"The one who knows how to multiply the money should be in charge of the money" This is so useful and brings down my ego. Thanks again, 師父!

This is actually a really important video. In my last relationship, money was just a constant problem, until we ended up deciding to just split the bills and have compleatly seperate echonomy. Because our priorities was so different. And that even went to the basics. (Like, my partner always wanted to invest in good food, while I don't mind living of noodles if I can buy books, or games or whatever fun stuff.)
And I can guarantee that having the same values, not only in regard to money, but as a general, is incredibly important in a relationship. Which is likely the only reason that relationship lastes as long as it did. (Try dating someone whom values politic more than food and water, if you personally don't even vote. You put up with being dragged around to alot of shit you don't even care about, and...just...you just end up unfufilling for both of you. One of my earlier relationships.)

Communication is much cheaper than a divorce... hmmm. Sifu that piece of advice right here could save so many marriages. If only people would let go of the lower self more and their ego and actually be WILLING to communicate... communication is everything and I feel that it could save so many people from hardships. Thank you for breaking this down. I am happy you and Jennie are doing these videos because it is very important for me to know how to handle the finances in a relationship for a long and happy married life. Thank you sifu and Jennie!

Awesome video Dan. An acquaintance of mine owns a business and what he does with his wife and money is this...
80% or so goes to the house account for bills like groceries utilities etc. the balance is in 2 checking accounts one for each. Half goes to retirement savings and the other is social money, dinner with friends, new item/play money. Everything before house account runs the business. This way the house is solved before they get their cut. First is business, then household expenses then retirement then fun.

Excellent advice! I love the one on celebrating together with play money. For the first half of our marriage I couldn't phantom how my husband could spend 150% of what he earns while I multiplied 150%. So we were always working non-stop. Only when he learnt not to get into bad debts and left the growing to me, did we finally break that curse.

My respects for both Lok Family. I'm really very impressed. It has been an amazing marriage and family counseling session. I learned a lot from it. I'll apply it in my marriage and family but also share with all my friends. Much Appreciated. Thanks a lot. Sincerely Enrique.

I know this is an older video, but I felt compelled to comment on it because of your interest in collecting and your wife Jennie just gives you that look because to her it is silly, but you're right Dan those figures do go up in value. I have been collecting for over 25 years and I have original art work from comics that are worth hundreds of dollars, but didn't spend the hundreds to obtain them. I'm single now and have been for 3 years (which I'm not particularly looking right now anyway) I'm a cancer survivor and I tend to spend my money when I have the opportunity because through that personal and tragic experience I know I won't be on earth for an extremely long time, so I tend to get the things that I want to enjoy now before I loose out on that chance. I know you as a professional investor and entrepreneur that is not very smart way of thinking, but I'm scared of now given a second chance at life not being able to live it or being held back because of money being my limitation. I think you and Jennie are amazing couple and I hope to see more videos like this in the future sometime.

Very valuable advice on money managing in a relationship. Your videos in this series bring awareness to a lot of underlying problems many people do not consciously perceive. Especially this video with the money mindset that can be a great source of conflict.

My love and I watched this video together and enjoyed the both of you and the knowledge you gave us! It was funny and very true! My blueprint is to spend on the finer things in life, his is to save. After watching this, we believe we can use our blueprint to take our home and vision to level 10!!

Surprisingly I was thrilled to see the video where Dan was taking a friend to a house tour and I saw the toys in the gym. I am 40 + I am female and I still like toys like model cars but not dolls, which I think I felt guilty about because I am older now. That is actually the reason I began to like Dan and watched more of his videos. However, I also love shoes bags makeup and watches . So it is not a matter of sex of what you spend money on, actually it is relaxing and refreshing for some of us to maintain a part of playful kid inside as long as we are mature and serious when we need to and do not disturb others. Huge LIKE on this video

Hi Dan, as usual, you are highly analytical and on point. I liked the way you stated, "....my grandfather and father provided the blueprint for wealth...". In that statement, you show an understanding/awareness of how parents MODEL a variety of behaviors to the child, and the acquisition of wealth is one of them. By the way, the X chromosome of the mother carries the intelligence of her children.

Money can not affect my relationship,I talk about lack of money.what can influence the hole style of living,is how to manage money, but it can not even affect my relationship with my husband.
I can't let any kind of problems destroy my relationship, it is the capital in life.
By the way,I would solve problems, so I can protect it.
