- Scottie Scheffler was arrested while entering the PGA Championship in Louisville, Kentucky. Here are two camera angles released by Louisville police.
Welp, it's clear there was no "assault on a police officer". No "criminal mischief". No "reckless driving". What a crock of BS that cop dumped in his report.
I understand memory isn't 100% perfect but that's clearly fabrication, he needs to be fired and charged.
Nothing will happen to the cop and I wouldn’t be surprised if they drop everything but the reckless driving. The police in America are petty and don’t like to be embarrassed. They will try to save face any way possible
Video does not support the police officer's sworn statements that he was hit and dragged by Scottie Scheffler. Officer should be charged for perjury - lying on a government document.
That’s not perjury. 🙄
His pants were probably ruined later on when he found out who he arrested.
Jeff Darlington (ESPN) witnessed this and corroborate the Police story! Need more info
@@yesyouarecorrectbut Yeah, and I'n an astronaut. The video is right there. Who do you think you're kidding?
Aren't there hospital records of his injuries?
Another lying cop and another police department covering for his ineptitude. Classic.
Looks like the cop ran up to the car and attacked it.
And damaged his pants beyond repair.
I saw that unjustified overreaction.
I don’t see anyone being dragged on the car. Isn’t that what was reported?
What The Officer did was to himself.. he hits the car with Both Hands & reaches inside the vehicle .. Cctv dont lie.. He embellished his story, to fit his Narrative there was no crime here
Imagine how many people get their lives ruined by lying cops when there is no video evidence or when the person arrested isn't famous.
One too many times. Happens too often, more than what is reported.
lots of them do!
Looks like the detective lied.
most certainly did. lie about it he was the aggressor
Are we sure ?
We don’t see the beginning!
We see an angry cop run after a car
Do we know he was not dragged before he runs after Sheffler?
He acts like he was hit/dragged!
Not a fan of Police but we need more info than this!
Hard to get the information when he wasn't wearing his body cam. Louisville is a joke.
@@yesyouarecorrectbut Nope. Being dragged by a car would be a lethal force situation. None of the cops are reacting as if it was that level of threat, not even the arresting cop.
where is the being dragged 15 yards? Did I miss that? it looks like the car goes a couple of feet in the wrong direction before they stop him.
Don’t see anybody getting dragged to the ground? Somebody lied!!!
Did they edit out the part where he was 'dragged' by Scheffler? .... 'cause I don't see it
Power trip. We need people who can handle stressful situations and not take their stress out on random non-aggressive people.
You wouldn’t be capable to do any better and you know that.
Look at how aggressive that cop is...
Scottie should sue the LMPD & the city of Louisville. Give the money. To the family of the gentleman, that was killed that morning.
Extremely underrated comment and genius. Hopefully gets more likes.
I don’t Scottie will do it because he’s a class act, but he should honestly sue the police department. This was just a power trip move by a police officer.
Scotty is not a Class Act
If he wasn’t already the mega millionaire he is, a lawsuit might be worth his time
I feel sorry for the wives of some of these aggressive cops with anger management issues.
Statistics don’t like, you are far more likely to be a victim of domestic violence if your husband is a LEO
A certian tune from NWA comes to mind
Dating yourself with that one. Wait…I just did too.
Hard to believe they didn't drop the case with this being the video. No one would convict him off of this.
Cops will lie and protect each other even in the face of blaring evidence.
Were the other officers' body cams switched off too?
And most of their Dash Cams
Exactly. All BS. All those cops, all those dashcams, at a fatality and no cameras recording. BS. They deleted the evidence they could
Totally fair question. Looks like 5 or 6 officers surrounded Scheffler's vehicle.
To be fair bodycams I guess aren't on for normal traffic direction. Cops like privacy and so far refuse to turn on cam for low level work. Maybe we should change this, my boss at McD watches me all day long on cam.
@@mostlyguesses8385 -- Love the fact that you're thinking outside the box, however, your suggestion strengthens Scottie Scheffler's case. This changed from a standard traffic control situation when, according to an official police report, one of the officers was allegedly dragged by the vehicle and needed to be treated at a hospital for abrasions and a sprained wrist. Officer safety is a top priority and none of the half dozen or so officers switched on their body cameras following a dragging incident?
Has the carjacking suspect who was impersonating a police officer been apprehended? The public should be on the lookout for anyone pretending to be a police officer attempting to carjack them in a similar situation.
Man he was dragging that cop for at least two city blocks
At 0.5 mph
Where is the felony here? Looks like the "professional" law enforcement officer was acting very unprofessional. LMPD needs to come clean about what has happened and make this whole issue go away. Power plays by law enforcement are way too common and innocent citizens are the victims. By the way, did you notice that the office chased and struck the window.
I don't know, but I would think that if an officer was being "dragged" by a car, that the people around him...aka..other cops...would be reacting a whole lot differently than what they do in this video. I would think all the cops would have been running towards the car after witnessing such an assault.
Exactly
And plus the other 5 or 6 officers should've had their body cams on too...
Exactly. Several other Officers present while the arresting officer loses his temper and self control. Looks like he threw something when he first approached the vehicle. Why haven't we seen the other officers body cams. Hard to believe none of them had the incident on tape. If they didn't they should all be disciplined. Where is the supervision at the scene?
There were volunteers standing nearby who witnessed the incident. Why havent they been interviewed. Whole thing looks bad for Louisville PD. Arresting Officer should probably be sent to anger management classes.
This is in front of the PGA Championship. Why wouldn't the golfers be allowed into the facilty.
@@bg8621and the officer has a history of multiple violations and suspensions as well. Biggest positive thing on his record is winning an award for some kind of traffic enforcement operation the department had going on a few years back.. 😒
Had scheffler injured an officer, the others officers in the area would’ve been on him too. But they weren’t….
I thought the $80 pants were "ruined beyond repair" haha
They probably ripped apart at the seam when the detective made that 20' sprint to the car.
LOL!
Who are we gonna believe a class act golfer or a cop that has an absolute power trip?
Neither
Remember this video the next time you see a thin blue line flag.
“Respect my authoritah”
Barney Fife should be fired and lose any pension. What an embarrassment.
The cop needs more than suspended or fired.
He tried to ruin someone’s life.
His needs to be taken from him.
Same for the other one who smiled while saying “there’s nothing that you can do”
Scheffler Most Definitely "Did Not" Hit or Drag the Officer during this incident.. The Officer LIed !!! The Officer hit the vehicle with both hands.. ""Most probable"" hurt his back When reaching inside the car & hurt his foot when chasing the vehicle.. Scheffler probably thought it was a fan going after his vehicle.. that car was in the stopped Position.. There was No Scuffle Or ASSAULT of any kind. anything that happened was to the officer himself.. Wear & turn On your Body cam..
We don’t know what happened the seconds before the car comes into the picture….
Did Scheffler turn in because he just dragged/hit him?
I think the cop “jumped” onto the car and then bounced off as Sheffler didn’t see or understand he was asking him to stop when he was told to drive in that lane by another cop!
We need more video and info
Witnesses ?
We can't know because said cop wasn't wearing his body cam. And is a proven liar. You think if the police department had the evidence of Scottie doing what he was accused of they wouldn't lead with that???
@@stefanharris659 What about Jeff Daniels?
ESPN's Jeff Darlington witnessed the encounter. When Scheffler arrived in a marked player courtesy vehicle, he tried to drive around the crash scene on a median, according to ESPN. Darlington wrote on social media that Scheffler "continued to drive about 10 to 20 yards toward the entrance" before stopping.
"The police officer attempted to attach himself to Scheffler's car, and Scheffler then stopped his vehicle at the entrance to Valhalla," Darlington wrote on X. "The police officer then began to scream at Scheffler to get out of the car. When Scheffler exited the vehicle, the officer shoved Scheffler against the car and immediately placed him in handcuffs."
Police escorted a handcuffed Scheffler into a police vehicle, Darlington's video shows.
@@yesyouarecorrectbutnothing happened. This video fully supports Darlington’s eyewitness account. The cop was wrong
@@cdf360 No, Jeff Daniels corroborate the Police story that the police was dragged!
He is the only one I have found so far with a name attached to it!
Just so happens that not one of the officers is wearing a body cam. How “convenient”
Thank you 😊. How convenient 🧐
Looks like the detective needs to give a formal apology or produce evidence that Scottie dragged him.
So the arresting officer didn’t have his bodycam on. But what about the others? Did nobody have their bodycams on?
Dum Dum thought Scheffler was handing out donuts and was upset seeing him drive away before getting one.
Liar, liar pants on fire, cop never got “dragged” or hurt in any way, it’s all there. The Cop lied.
My grandfather fought in WW2 (world war 2) so we would not have Nazis on our streets in America.
Remember, this is the same police department that murdered Breonna Taylor. Looks like they still haven't learned.
There's no body cam footage? I would love to hear their interaction and what was said 🤔
That's their story
Officer deserves to be charged here. Blatant lying when filing charges can’t be supported. This is a bad look on LEO across the country. How can we trust those sworn to protect us?
He was going 75 mph through the traffic nearly hitting 75 police officers and then he jumped out of his car and attacked all of them
So the Officer went off somewhere and tore up his uniform because they said his uniform was shredded
The officer stated he was dragged in this felony assault charge and stated he was treated for injuries to his hand and wrist as well as requiring new pants which were damaged beyond repair. Based on the video here everyone can see the officer plausibly injured his hand and wrist while committing property damage to the courtesy vehicle. As far as his pants go, I believe this is where the charges become more murky. In fact, the officer appears to have lied in his statement about the cause of his pants damage as there was clearly no dragging from the vehicle. Are there charges to be placed against the officer for lying on an official police report resulting in detaining and arrest. I believe most jurisdictions call that filing a false police report.
No assault to the officer! How so stupid!
Was it the cop that attacked the car the one that was hospitalized? Did he hurt his hand striking the window?
Also, why aren’t their body cams on whenever they’re out of cars for something like this?
Sure is convenient that body cam was off. Because it sure would show a complete different story.
Presumably the officers had been there for quite some time because it was a fatal accident. Even if it occurred minutes before this incident why would they not have their body cams on from the start?
This guy has been written up so many times. How he still have a job?
Just crossed Louisville off my list of places to visit, even though I’d love to see the Muhammad Ali museum. The cop should be fired and lose his pension.
So this cop should actually be in jail for filing a fraudulent police report.
Waiting for the other videos from the other officer's body cameras.
Embarrassing and he has a big money lawyer for false arrest lying and had him arrested he has a case . Cameras are everywhere.
Yep. So where is the police officer being “dragged down the road”?
He is at the entrance to the club!?!?!?! WTF????
I am generally pro-LE. However, in this case, I'd like to see firm evidence the officer was really dragged by Scheffler's vehicle. For years I've said cops do themselves great disfavor by stepping in front of a subject's vehicle and/or getting into the cabin of such. Way too often we see use of deadly force by police, after they place themselves in a risky position in front of a vehicle, and if driver attempts to drive off, even if not making contact with officer or potential to run them over, the police open up fire.
Typical cop behavior. Turn camera off and claim something happened that didn’t. There should be zero tolerance on body cam. If the camera is turned off manually, the cop is fired immediately.
Wheres the part where he hit the cop and dragged him 20 yards?
Who'd ever thought a cop is capable of lying??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm guessing his pants were damaged beyond repair when he realized he arrested the number one golfer in the world. 💩
The pants are probably very soiled...
Him being a golfer has zero bearing on what happened
Your telling me none of them had a body cam?
That interaction involved five officers and no one turned on their BWC
This cop will henceforth be known as, “Officer Fancypants”
Wow! Nothing to see here folks! I hope Scotty Sues the LMPD for Defamation.
Amazing how these officers aren’t wearing body cams.
Nothing at all. The detective lied.
Cop is a punk and should be fired!
No dragging seen here...never seen a cop lean into the driver's lap before...dangerous.
Police state cops with immunity....oh, and the ability to conveniently turn off body cams.
The officer probable intentionally did not turm om his camers thinking he could get Scottie in trouble .
I didn’t see anyone being dragged!
Cops pants looked fine in the video.
Cops pants caught fire because he's such a liar.
Former police officer
Looks like a power trip to me.
White cop Scottie black this would already be dropped
Nope. He would have been tased at the very least.
Looks like a typical DART traffic stop to me…
The cop had 2-1 odds on him to miss the cut.
As usual they make $hit up and try to cover up every cop that had no body cam on or lied on the reports should be fired.
What a surprise the cop lied because he didn't know was being recorded. I guess he hates golf...
The dude is a detective. He should be smart enough to assume that everything is being recorded.
He knew there was a player in the courtesy vehicle, he just didnt count on all the publicity
The officer stumbled and tripped while running he had no contact with the vehicle
For all of you claiming this is proof that there was no assault, you are wrong. You jump to judgement way too quickly. Now, I am also skeptical that anything significant happened. However, this video is only a small piece of the puzzle. It is quite possible that the “dragging” occurred behind the buses, and was possibly even a different officer. Certainly can’t tell here. If it goes to trial, you need to trust the jury to weigh all evidence. We haven’t even heard from EMS about alleged injuries. The prosecutor surely has. You all need to leave your confirmation bias at the door. Juries certainly have to do so. I wouldn’t want to prosecute this case and am sure he doesn’t want to either. It’s a mess for him. If appropriate, he’ll drop the charges, but not based on this video.
The police report says the officer getting him out of the car was the one dragged. If this goes anywhere near a court it's going to be hilariously bad for Louisville and hilariously easy for the defendants lawyer.
He has a swelled wrist, maybe don't jump punch a cars window to start
@@kyleouellet9318 I haven’t seen that. I have heard news reports, but not seen a police report. However, it still could be right? That cop was behind the bus until the car appeared. We just aren’t seeing the whole thing. That’s all I’m saying. I’d be surprised if it went to court. If anything, settle. Willing to bet the prosecutor wants to settle, make an offer, and so does Scottie’s attorney. On the surface, it smacks of bad judgment all around. All parties need a timeout and then we move on
@slpguy6026 I agree there could be a lot unseen. The other officers reactions, and this is also speculation that would be spun to a jury, would go bananas if another officer was in duress.
Scottie and his lawyer said no pleas only trial or drop, and with all of the LMPD bad plays and required body cams. Arraignment might be the only other thing we hear about this case.
They leaded pleaded for no more videos to be released
Was he arrested by officer pinocchio
Cop should be charged and fired. I hope scottie sues
The Vehicle is stopped and We don't see any police being drugged on the road and this is only video he was pulled out of the vehicle. IN SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER LOOKS LIKE A COURT HAS TO DISMISSAL OF ALL CHARGES.
This is one of those situations he wished he could "Beam me up Scottie"
Looks like the cop threw a temper tantrum because someone made a left. Turn away from any incident on the road. Typical traffic cop
I thought the officer said he was dragged by the vehicle. Looks like he just ran towards it while it was slowly moving ahead. Typical of cops lying to support false charges.
Drop the charges! And apologize to Scottie.
This is one way to win a sports bet
Dragged and knocked down?
Exactly the Officer Lied ..
@@karedilger5261 And turned off his camera.
America faces these things daily.
Common since Answers.
After a louisville police department has 7 fbi investigations for corruption.
One remedy. Force body cams.
Why would a lawful officer resist transparency?
Why are citizens having to buy their own cams while enjoying libetty/travel?
Why do law officers get mad when you record your traveling?
Why do law officers get upset when you record any interaction with the police?
Why are officers admittedly trained to Lie?
Why do law officers who swear an oath to the constitution. Try to find a way to violate search and seizures 4th amendment protections?
Why is it acceptable for law officers to lose their tempers. Berate. Get physical. That if any citizen acted in such way would face serious crimes? And these so called moral authorities wouldn't blink an eye destroying your life.
Side note moral authorities aren't adulters, pedaphiles, liars, thieves.
Also aren't a moral authority when real crimes happen. They don't have time for it. To busy being highway robbers on the side of the road. Will steal your paycheck boy.
Don't make them mad.
Bow down and lick their boot.
I love real law. Real moral authorities.
But when the state becomes the biggest criminal.
And a police state. Papers please Germany. 4th amendment.
Conditioning a citizenry.
Good luck in the next war with a nation of sheep. And you beg for my sons to die for you.
A simpler solution.
If this evil is what you want.
China, cuba, north korea, vietnam, Venezuela is your utopia. Go get it.
I normally stick up for the police but this is nonsense. He didn’t “drag” the police officer. These charges need to be dropped.
Where is the part where the office gets dragged to the ground? Ohhh that was just made up, make doesn’t photo very well.
A lying cop who didn't happened to have his body cam on. At least it should require a severe reprimanding if not loss of a job! And give this dude a break, I doubt he's ever been arrested in his life.
Free Scottie!
Watch the officer run up to the car and hit it with something in his hand or his arm. Therefore, I believe he caused his own injury and they’re trying to blame it on Scotty.
Flashlight ?
Why have the charges not been dropped? Obviously, the charges and the video dont match. The cop lied and the video proves it.
😂 the officer was dragged and injured huh? Fire the cop immediately for trying to get a cheap lawsuit out of a rich guy
Cop should had body running so we ALL COULD SEE THE OFFENSE.....OH WAIT I DONT HAVE TO TURN IT ON IM A DO WHAT I WANT A.....E...cop
Boycott Louisville until they fully make it right.
Don't worry folks, this is just another bad apple. His colleagues who were standing around and observed the events would have came forward to tell the truth....
