There are a lot of resources showing how great a hair transplant looks a year or two down the line but I haven't seen anything on how it looks and lasts 10 plus years post surgery. Thank you!

Turkey is becoming very popular in terms of hair transplant surgeries and I am actually considering going there for surgery in a few years. I just bought minoxidil 5% solution and I plan on using it for a while before I do the surgery.
Holy shit I wish I could afford this. I started losing my hair at 18 and in the last 7 years it's ruined my life. I've been kicked out or embarrassed out of parties when I was in my early 20's because the people there didn't believe I was university age. When I was a kid I loved being told I looked older than my age, I used to love myself for that. I went from being outgoing and really enjoying other people's company to someone with no confidence and a bona fide recluse. I've lost my childhood bestfriends from being too ashamed to face them and after all this time I think they just feel I didn't want anything to do with them and they've accepted that and moved on. I have no license because of the anxiety of being in such a public space like a ServiceOntario and especially the idea of having a license photo that looks like me. I'm at that quarter life crisis stage of my life where I have no idea what I'm doing but I've carried the guilt and shame and heartbreak of having had no social life or work life after high school to the point I have no hope for the future. The next few years were when I thought I'd be meeting somebody, starting a family, settling into a career. I feel like younger me would hate me. I feel like lesser man because other's can rock the look with such confidence and no care at all. I don't know how they do it and I'm ashamed to talk to other balding people because I have this fear my mental state is infectious and I'm going to plant this seed in their head that starts to make them feel self conscious and scared to the point they develop my anxiety disorder. I've tried to go with the shaved look but I've been told I look like a neo-nazi or a skinhead because I'm also white. Even a ton of people who I consider to be really nice people don't hesitate to use bald in a derogatory way or as an insult when they get mad at someone who's bald. I can't even escape it in the shows and movies I watch. I'm so glad we've been moving into times where it's less and less acceptable to put someone down for the things about themselves they can't control but I feel like bald is one of those things that's continued to be acceptable to use in an insulting way and shown no signs of joining the list. So just like it was for Zach I'm all hats all the time. I'll try to go for a walk at night but I have to wear a hat. I used to hate wearing hats and helmets when I played sports and now it's the only thing that makes me feel like I can breathe when I have to be outside. I miss the sun and outdoor activities. I even miss malls and I used to hate having to go in them. I want to wear jeans again because I haven't had an excuse in years. I used to workout all the time and I want to have hope back so I see a point. I want to go see my favourite bands and comedians perform and my favourite teams play. I want to have a job and volunteer and a partner and kids and friends and relationships with my relatives and a license and a dog and maybe if everything hasn't gone to shit by then own my own house. Most importantly to start off I want to stop being such a burden on my parent and finally get out of this toxic relationship with myself and start loving myself and others again
I feel you, im canadian too and there's no way I could afford a surgery either. I'm 23 and I'm so glad at the beginning of this year that I got a topper, just a wig that matches my hair that goes around the top of my head and blends into my natural hair. Best thing I ever did. Any weird shame of wearing a wig is long gone by now and I love it. Highly recommend looking into it
Damn. I mean not to put down it feelings but it's just hair, like my boyfriend is bald since 17 is 35 now and had some extra hot gfs in his life. Maybe you could use some therapy is not normal to feel this way just because of hair.
Hey man, I'm no psychologist, which it sounds like you might need, but I can tell you one thing: Life is short...shorter than you think...and you're going to regret missing out on life when you're older and no longer worried about what everyone thinks about your hair. Shave that sh*t off and go out every day for a month. By the end of that month your hats and hoodies won't be such a crutch anymore and you can get on with you life.
life is so short, enjoy it bc at the end no one’s opinions of you matter. what matters is your mental health and not living life is not the way to go man, live everyday like there’s no tmrw bc hair or no hair life waits for no one!!

That explains his amazing looks! I’m getting mine next April for my bday. My temples and hairline overall started receeding greatly over the past 2 years. I always had a large forehead and receded temples since birth (and it sucked big time) but I worked with what I had (even modeled for a bit in my early years). After 3 years of off and on steroid cycles for my bodybuilding competitions the winstrol (Winnie) definitely was the instigator of my hairline receding (it never moved an inch prior). Stopped that stuff and am sporting a male hairpiece until I get my bonus from work next year and I’m heading to hair of Istanbul for my fue surgery. I was going to get it done last month but pulled the trigger on a new house and that took abt all my savings and my bonus (for the down and closing). Once you have a semi normal hairline and are attractive and it goes away it definitely plays on you and your self esteem. I’m tired of and too damn old (46) to rock backwards caps to hide my hairline so I’m rocking the hairpiece (looks totally natural) until next year. Hopefully my results are as good as mgk’s dude looks good.
Hey Gary. Obviously most Americans/Canadians can't afford these types of procedures in America or Canada but if we were to travel to Mexico or Turkey where they have these places that can perform these procedures at a much more affordable cost to us, do you know if these places have adequate equipment, training and know-how to do a great job?
To me the FUT scar in the second picture looks quite a bit higher than the one in the first picture. In the first one the center of the scar goes almost halfway down the level of his ears, and the second one is close to the top of his ears, and more straight across. Is it possible he had FUE grafts to fill in the first one, and then had another FUT graft higher up? Also not to be picky, but I think his front hair looked better higher up.
I’m losing my hair and it really sucks. That whole “bald is beautiful thing” is just BS. I’m taking Finasteride and it works 100% in maintaining what I have but my hairline is still slowly receding and thinning. MGK looks 10 years younger after the hair transplant. I am definately getting one!!

Megan is all surgery now though lol.
His greatest achievement isnt Megan and she’s not no where Angelina Jolie so stop acting like that was his greatest pull. She had way more done then he had
And if Megan didn't get all the work done she couldn't pull him. They've both had work done.
So true or even be famous.. I mean by now he would of been so bald and would look to goofy with a shaved head
Your videos are rocking Gary! 20k in less than 24 hours. Congrats and great insights on MGK's transplant!
What are you doing here man?? Isn't this guy your rival??
I always thought Machine Gun Kelly was actually a woman named Kelly and thought "oh that's a really fire name for a female rapper".
LMAOOOO
Probably just coincidental, but ive actually met more guys named Kelly than I have women. Much like Lindsey, Ashley, etc. Kelly used to be a mostly male given name. Plus I knew of the real historical figure so it was never a question for me.
🤷🏽♀️🤣🤷🏽♀️🤣🤣
Daniel Tosh would be a perfect subject to talk about his hair journey. In the early seasons of his show it was pretty obvious that he was losing his hair. He said he took drugs but his hair is so great now
can you react to "more plates more dates" hair loss regiment ? thx he actually does a lot of vids on hair loss for men, so im sure his channel would be a treasure trove
i hope he reacts to daddy derrick someday
he got a transplant
I think Dr. Gary looks just fine without the hair he used to have. He has great complexion, and a nicely shaped head. Coupled with a great mind and personality, makes for an attractive man in my opinion.
I love how soft spoken you are
Your videos are really helpful.
Have you heard of Dr. Juan Couto in Madrid? I watched a few of his FUE videos and the way he executes that technique is incredible.
Wow! I have been amazed by his luscious locks recently. Celebs always start early with modifications before they get super famous. Smart.
high risk high reward. not smart in the slightest
"He is an awesome musician"

Hi Dr Gary, thanks a lot for your videos! Can you make one where you also explain which vitamins/minerals supplements also help to make hair healthier?
Magnesium oil
If you're looking for foods to eat, the protein in fish and nuts are great for building healthy hair and nails.
Hello Dr. GARY . Not sure how I got here but I enjoyed this video. 👍
Great and informative video as always, would appreciate you covering David Beckham’s hair transplant next. Thank you!
Thanks, will look into it!
Loved this video! You’re always uploading the best content!
Thank you so much for the support!
Could you make a video on Tom Hanks’ hair transplant? Great video btw!
If you wanna save some money you can always get an FUE done in Istanbul Turkey for about $3000 to $5000. Even after paying for the flights it's a huge savings.
Can you tell us about Scott Disick? He has had surgery.....subtle surgery .
They look so good. Soo natural looking.
Unrelated but your voice and aura is so calming to me
Gary, how much would it take for you to take a look and jugde my hair transplant? Really want your opinion on a small hair transplant i got for my temples
Call our office please. Info in bio.
MGK was about 23 when he had his first hair trnasplant. It is said that it's a bad idea to get a hair transplant at such a young age. But looking at him I might disagree. What are your views?
Its a bad IDEA to do nothing and go bald like I did. "Although in my case doctors told me that taking Finasteride would reduce sexual function early 2000's now debunked"
@@ryanbowns1517 Finasteride has nasty sides. It was a really effective drug for me but the side effects became unbearable.
You might've dodged a bullet.
@@richp.1234 Disagree going bald and looking 20 years older is not dodging a bullet.
@@ryanbowns1517 You can still get a FUE transplant. Have you considered one?
@@richp.1234 what side affects did you have?
I have a widows peak hairline and love it. I'm never going to hate on anyone that gets a procedure that makes them feel better. I wouldn't have noticed. If he did get a procedure, it's not my business to comment/ judge him for it.
Widow's peaks look best cos at very least there's some symmetry to it.
Not that Friar Tuck shit 😂
there is a difference between a widows peak and side balding. MGK had baaad side balding. side balding becomes very round whereas a widows peak is a regular hairline, but with a dip in the front. i have this as well :D
Awsome musician ... that's nice of you to say Doc hahaha
My mum, totally untrained btw, used to do the separating of the hair follicles for my grandpa's hair transplant clinic. Garth dorman, ifnur curious. Even now after he's been dead for over 20 yrs, I still run into people who knew him...
I had a FUT in the 90’s. I then had a FUE in 2014. For some reason I had a terrible result. My hair was so think and I’d say only 20% of the grafts took. I ended up shaving my head and getting SMP to fix my scars. I’ve seen great results from transplants but not myself.
Jesus H... $30k? If needling doesn't work, fuck it, I'll go bald. There's way more I'd do with $30k that would make me happier
Right I'll buy some nice wigs and travel lol
Ceoebrities usually go to top doctors, for the regular person it is cheaper. Plus it is 2 hair transplants, but one hair transplant, done by a regular doctor, will probably not cost over 8.000 €. Also, surgeries are more expensive in the US than many countries.
So again, that's not the average price at all.
@@javiruiz9876 exactly, plus he probably made millions just by having that hair transplant, extended his career. for a celebrity its an investment in their business
It doesn't make you happier. It's an illusion.
It's cheaper in turkey. we like 6k
Will you do a video about KPop idols? A few of them admitted they went under the knife but it baffles me how fans can be blind saying that their faves didn't and it's just puberty.
Turkey is becoming very popular in terms of hair transplant surgeries and I am actually considering going there for surgery in a few years. I just bought minoxidil 5% solution and I plan on using it for a while before I do the surgery.
They did a good job on his hair, I've never noticed the scars before.
can you go straight to an FUE? and do the dot scars last forever?
That sounds reasonable for the outcome he attained.
I was paying attention but my takeaway was unrelated: bald really suits Dr. Linkov. :D
By the end of that month your hats and hoodies won't be such a crutch anymore and you can get on with you life.
you should try wearing a hat so people cant see or a beanie or something if you are self conscious about it and people are treating you bad
life is so short, enjoy it bc at the end no one’s opinions of you matter. what matters is your mental health and not living life is not the way to go man, live everyday like there’s no tmrw bc hair or no hair life waits for no one!!
Hey Dr. Gary, can you do a video on PRP TREATMENT? I am thinking about getting it done and would like to hear your views on the subject first. I love your videos and thank you.
Wow I never knew hair transplants were so expensive
Very expensive… and temporary. His hair is not going to continue to look that good as he ages.
@@AnaGolightly The medication has been known to have side effects, especially the longer a person takes them. Look up Joe Rogan and John Travolta’s hair transplant stories. They both decided to shave their heads after all.

This guy does amazing reviews. I would love to see one on Adam 22 from No Jumper
I am surprised MGK looks so good, considering how many times the man has broken his face. Like when he got hit by the double decker bus.
Let me know how it goes
Well, I hope you're already on Finasteride. Otherwise you're going to get a hair transplant in the front and just go bald in the back anyways.
Hey Gary. Obviously most Americans/Canadians can't afford these types of procedures in America or Canada but if we were to travel to Mexico or Turkey where they have these places that can perform these procedures at a much more affordable cost to us, do you know if these places have adequate equipment, training and know-how to do a great job?
Wondering the same.
Neat, I enjoyed this & learning on the topic of hair transplant. Thanks
Honestly, 30k is a lot but Jesus the improvement is truly night and day.
VIDEO IDEA: You could do a video about mewing and jawline surgery, it would be very interesting.

@@drgarylinkov 💯👍🏼 amazing! Imma go watch it!
Where do you get the Finasteride???
It works 100% in maintaining what you have but your hairline is still receding. Those are contradictory statements.
99.9 of people can't pull of the bald look
Take minoxidil as well to spike growth
Please don't take this stuff. It's poison to a man, please. I took this for a few years and I still have lasting negative side effects.
