We used to engrave job numbers into the insides of all the parts (motorcycle paint shop) so that we never mixed things up. Also solved a few crimes with that evidence too.
The end goal was achieved mate I’m grateful you took it in and gave it a new life it’s a very pretty machine to look at on my TV Stand as a previous comment stated mistakes make us human admitting mistakes and fixing them is a good honest bloke.
Thanks again for your time and efforts I’m sure I’ll have plenty more in future
Perseverance and patience is a great asset to have when diagnosing any problem.
You should get some little orange stickers to put on all of your test parts and then it will be much less likely that you will accidentally install them and post the item back to your customer. 👍
Glad you got it fixed in the end always remember "To make mistakes is human; to stumble is commonplace; to be able to laugh at yourself is maturity"
Thank you Mr TheCod3r 🌹
Mistakes do happen. Dont mean im unsubscribing...lol... You are awesome at what you do bud.... Thanks for the teaching.....
Phil, I would recommend using a small square of coloured adhesive tape on any item that you are using as a test part. If you had done this with that test disk drive you would have seen it and known that it was the test drive.
I don't know what's with him lately. He connected UART leads the wrong way round 4 times in a row the other day. I'd never use him for a repair witnessing these constant mistakes.
@@Nailzy1985 he probably wouldn't use you either so it goes both ways
@@robbirobson7330interesting fanboy comment, congratulations on the engagement!
@@Nailzy1985There are days within every technician's life where your brain does funny things. This is just normal for us humans.
Been working in the IT for 30 years and sometimes the best solution is to call it a day and get sleep.
@@jochenrudiger yes it’s normal but it’s becoming more and more frequent with Phil and I don’t know if it’s burnout or what, but it doesn’t paint a good picture for promoting business.
Thanks for the educational videos. Question. Xbox one at the 3rd stage of installation freezes at 88% or error E200 0000001A. The periphery is all alive. Hdd from the working console. APU reball, emmc checked on z3x jtag.
Hi, iv just purchased i digital cluster, "clocks for a car" that can have a hdmi output but it doesn't have a socket, but does have the place for one to be fitted, if this something you could do, iv also got another switch that i need a few 0603 smd leds soldering, too small for me i'm afraid, thank you.
some people say ,that when phil farts ,it smells of flux 🤣😂
😂😂😂
Is there any fix , for series x to work with old raw partion before update
Maybe color mark test parts.. So you never make these kinda mistakes bud, just a suggestion..😊👍👍
Love the limited Halo shell.. Do the series X syestem have anything differant besides the sound ?
Use a marker and mark all parts. I have done the same thing. Never again. A permanent maker is your best friend.
Had you another late night last night Phil lol 😆
No one is perfect Phil Have a coffee a smoke and move on to the next one. Great repair BTW
Go Phil!
Could you not use a Linux system with dd and just tell it to clone the first partition
Why don't you just mark the Drives with a sharpy when you take them out. Like put a c On it for customer drive
I have a PS5 that I repaired, it works now, but I have static on the screen. It works beautifully except for the static and I can't figure out why there is static.
I replaced the HDMI port and the Panasonic encoder chip. Has anyone come across this problem. I'm wondering if it is interference or a bad filter. Everything tests fine except there is static on the screen.
Edit:
I would think that the encoder chip would just present with a black screen if it was bad. You know, if it was bad it just wouldn't work. So, I don't think it's the encoder chip.
Thats was almost a very, very costly upsie 😅😅😅
I always put a "c " letter on a nand of nintendo switch for example. To know wich us my "customer" nand. And dont mix it. Or put a wrong one .
I have a ps5 that keeps shutting off after 2 seconds won't turn on any advice like it's my whole life basically and it's been ripped away. In desperate need of help.
stick a label on saying test part lol
Hey man, these things happen.. I know I have done that 🤣
I’ll take a date with your Mrs 😂😂😂
Erm label the test equipment. Reminds me of work! What do you mean you have sold or loaned out our gold standard test equipment. How am I ment to calibrate new systems without the gold standards.
It's not really test equipment though because I sell the parts on my store lol
@TheCod3r Yep I know was just talk large scale production. Just good practice to have test sets. Especially in my line of work. But small scale it's not always practical. When your test sets are worth 100k plus it's very annoying.
You lost ssd data bro 😮???
Label it next time, will save u time each time and your memory will love you for it
I Ordered some PS5 RAM from you on March 13th and I've been trying to find a way to contact you to find out why it hasn't been shipped yet. I won't let me leave a message on discord I left tickets on and other emails now I have an angry customer because I was supposed to get the RAM no later than yesterday and it's been over 3 weeks now how can I contact you
I hope you're not offended by this, but I call you Dakota. When your fellow Brits like My Mate Vince refer to your channel, the sounds like duh and coder sounds like kotuh, which is identical to the common American name Dakota, which in turn is of indigenous origin.
