Thanks for the battery disconnect dangers. That you can "wait" and it will "download back to the most-recent iteraction" is an excellent lightbulb moment that many more people need to find and wonder at. It's also one of the reasons that I don't have any "settings" on anything I have in regard to the system because - in many of my codrivers perspectives - they've spent HOURS UPON HOURS getting all that stuff rigged. If what you need and do is "in the phone" then a dead batter or a disconnect will be much less of a speedbump. Great info. Thanks OCMotivator!
Just washed my charger yesterday. Kept her parked outside today in Fullerton and by the end of the day there was a white dust all over my car! The damn ashes rained down all over her right after I washed her 😫

Hey Brad... what is it about your UA-cam vids that I always wind up stumbling across at 2 am CT on a work night! 😴... local car audio shop wanted $1K to install a Kicker ported enclosure with two 10"s, and the amp in my 22 Charger GT...after watching several of your vids, seeing how you just jump in and do stuff yourself (even if you don't know what your doing 😁) I've decided to learn how to do the install myself and save a few hundred $'s. @@ocmotivator not hard at all. I ordered it threw crutchfield so they give you pretty detailed instructions how to install it. Well worth the money! 🔊👌
I’m going to check that out for sure. I was hoping they had an OEM adapter. Where did you pull power for the amp? And did you mount it behind the dash?
@@ocmotivator pending what Alpine system you have in your car they do make an aftermarket interface where you can plug your RCA in for either highs mids and subs it plugs right in to the back of your existing radio in your car. I have the regular 6 speaker Alpine system with no in car amp. So all I had to do was just tap into the high input for the amp. But if you have the Alpine system the 10 speaker with the amp adding this amp won't do anything for the front speakers because of the crossover built into the amp in the car. So you would need the interface converter that plugs in the back of your radio therefore you could power the front speakers with an aftermarket amp. The bad part about it is those things are expensive. I think they're about 250 bucks. I just ended up mounting the amp underneath my passenger seat and pulling power from the rear of the car and find any remote hot behind the dashboard to turn the amp on and off with the car! I don't have any subs in the car yet only just aftermarket highs and mids with the little amp! But it does make a big difference! 👍

Hey Mr motivator, sorry for the invite the other night! I loved the video, and thank you for inspiring me with every video to achieve my goal of owning a challenger. Can't wait for the next video!
I wonder if it’s easy to tie in a front camera into the dash monitor. To use for parking. Probably can only use the front or the rear camera when parking. Don’t need both but would like to put one in. Since I already have the licenses plate cam. If you or anyone has any experience with this feel free to chime in. I guess I could ask in the challenger forum but I heard you say camera and a light bulb went off. Thanks.
So the scary part of this for me was where you drilled in the sheet rock screws. What did the screws bit into? Also LOVED that Plum Crazy HC!! Woulda been cool if you guys pulled into a parking lot somewhere and chatted.
The dash has a grill for the center channel, does this Alpine system have a center channel speaker? I think it does not, but the grill is there for the upgraded Harmon Kardon system. Just wanted to make sure.
What system was in it originally? When you put into the sound mats ( used to be called dynomat) did you put any on the top of the trunk? If not you should do that. I worked for audio express here in AZ and we would always put it there to help with trunk rattle. We also put it in the doors aswell. One more thing look into a system external battery. They come in all kinds of sizes but if something should go out it doesn’t take your battery with it or drain your battery if something happens to come loose. Either way sounds amazing and the screws have always been a installers secret lol.
Can you pls tell me which cable gets the signal to the stock subwoofers in the trunk.. want to do an extra box but don't know where to tap the signal to the subs... thanks a lot for your help.. 2018 hc
So you just need a Line Out Converter, I posted a link below, then you’ll tap right into your rear deck speaker wires. I show that in my other video too. I’ll post in a second: amzn.to/3sbr1Dh
Didn’t get the Hk. Got the alpine. No sub. HK is overpriced for what you get in my opinion. But wasn’t available on the cars I found when I was looking anyways. Check out my other videos. I changed all the speakers and it sounds insane.
I made that mistake. Well kinda. Lol I was measuring a sheet of killmatt to install and threw in the trunk before I cut it since I decided to call it night. Well the next day my car wouldn't start without having to press the start button with the actual key fob. I was frantic. I retraced my steps and had to laugh when I opened the trunk and noticed the sheet of killmatt laying across that black box. It wasn't even glued down. Smh. I just threw it up there with the intention of cutting and installing the next day.
Hey how’s it going? Nice set up you got there !! I hope you have a better experience with the kicker highs than I did. Because for me they can’t handle that much power!!
They are designed for drop in applications.(powered off factory power) when adding a aftermarket amplifier to power speakers, you would need ones that can handle the rms power. These don’t handle much power, which they don’t need to since they are drop in.
Ya. I did not add an amplifier and they sound great just off of the stock amplified system. If you have a higher level system or installed another amp then for sure you needed higher wattage speakers.
The subs look nice but they are blocking your access from your backseat to your trunk. If your battery dies you won't be able to crawl through and open your trunk from the inside to access it. Do you have a solution for this?
Already happened, I killed my battery in my driveway and I hooked my charger to the positive terminal under my hood and in a bout 7 seconds I was able to pop the trunk. Seems like Dodge already provided an easy solution with that front terminal. Lord knows people use their trunks for a lot more than just speakers so without that jump terminal up front, this would be a big problem for a lot of people. Leaving the trunk empty would be a ridiculous solution for a 'WHAT IF" scenario.
I’ve never heard the Q-bomb but I looked into them and I couldn’t find one that would fit right in my challenger. The one I got was made for my challenger so it fits perfect and looks like it’s part of the car. And it sounds great too.

Hello! I am new to the Challenger world, I really like your very informative channel and the car is sweet. How do I sign up for the sound system giveaway? Looking forward to more of your cool videos.
I got a new SS CAMARO that I'm wanting to put a system in it. My Camaro is BUMBLEBEE, yellow with black STRIPES. Its automatic but I can go manual with the paddle shifters I love my car You wouldn't believe how many people have tried to buy it . I have not raced one of your cars yet. I do know this much. I might could take you on track because it's been proven the Camaro can hang the hell out of some curves. If we was on a dragstrip I would not stand a chance. I would have to say you would dust my ass. I only own 15k left on it and I either want a Hellcat or the new 2020 Vette. I like the new style of the vette. It's got that Ferrari or Lambo look to it. I know for a fact though when it comes to anything made by GM, You might want to wait at least the first year when they change Anything Because you dont want to be the lab rat if something goes wrong I'm wanting to put a system in mine. I think it would be easy because my battery is in the trunk. That 500 watt Kenwood sub bass cannon would be perfect. I've been married 16 years. I dont know how old you are but I'm 43. We look about the same age Alot of people would say I'm to old for that shit F them The problem is my wife I love her but when I'm in the car I'd rather be by myself. She has changed alot I thought after I paid off my Z71 ext.cab that I would double down on the hous payments but it didnt happen THATS o.k. though because I will have the house paid off in 3 yrs. But I know me. I'm shooting for 2 yrs. I had been eyeballing that car for 3 months We as a family My mom and dad and her and my brothers had just left Longhorn Steakhouse and the car lot is right over there by it I was going to by my wife a new Tahoe. We argued back and forth She didn't want it, so I got what I wanted Damn Tahoes are high as hell anyway. I have always bought GM, because my dad retired from there. So when I get a discount. I get the family one. My Z71, I got 12k off it. I used to have a GMC YUKON.I WENT TO THIS PLACE, AND BOUGHT ALL MY SHIT FROM THEM AND HAD THEM INSTALL IT YEARS LATER. I UNHOOKED IT AND SOLD IT AND TRADED VEHICLES I HAD 4 12 INCH MEMPHIS AUDIOS WITH E NEW CD DECK WITH REMOTE AND A 3,000 WATT KICKER AMP. I COULD DRIVE BY VEHICLES AND THE BASS WOULD VIBRATE THEIR CAR ALARMS OFF. NOW I'M OLDER AND I MISS THAT MY WIFE LOVES THE CAR NOW. SHE WAS AFRAID OF IT AT FIRST. SOMETIMES I HAVE TO TELL HER TO SLOW DOWN. I DONT MIND HER SPEEDING. YOU JUST GOT TO KNOW WHERE TO DO IT AND WHAT TIME THE REASON I MESSAGED IS I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO PUT MY FOOT DOWN AND BE AN ASS SHE DOESN'T WANT ME TO PUT A SYSTEM IN IT BECAUSE SHE IS AFRAID THAT IT WILL RATTLE THE WHOLE INTERIOR APART I think with just the 500 way bass cannon would be o.k It may rattle a little bit bit not A
@@ocmotivator I found the rite ones. I changed out the dash speakers with infinity reference speakers and didn’t like it. Sound volume is to low. Went back to stock.
@@blakemanganelli3148 Wow. Ya the kickers I installed were super loud and crystal clear. Due to the shift from 2 ohm to 4 ohm they say you'll lose some volume, but with the kickers, I lost nothing and gained significant sound and quality. Maybe try those. They're only $39 too
No. I was wondering about that too. But from what it appears. There is already a small 2 ohm 275 watt amp running the 6 speakers so the new speakers are 4 ohm so you lose some power in translation but the higher quality speakers make them sound cleaner and even louder actually. Don’t quote me on the amp, just what I found online and how it sounds that aligns with that info.
OCMotivator awesome! I’m trying to do that exact thing on my challenger srt I also have the alpine audio set up! Did you do the other speakers already? Did it sound as good as the front ones? I’m a big fan bro keep up the great work!!! True inspiration in all your videos you do
I explain that at the end of my video. And it was installed right minus the small snag that I ultimately figured out. The stereo shops all said they’re too busy, their prices kept changing , they all quoted me crazy different numbers between $1000 and $3000, most around $2000 just for subs. But why ask that question? Is there something wrong with people working on their own cars?
And I explain the Kenwood sub and how and why in my prior videos. Good sound for very cheap for people without lots of money to spend who want something easily removable.
I enjoy your videos. I have a new Charger Scatpack; I’m in the process of adding a sub; I may or may not ultimately change the remaining Alpine stock speakers. My question: what speaker system does your Challenger have? I believe the two cars have the same systems offered. If you had the Alpine in the dash, it’s good to know the kickers sound better because there are not many speakers you can add without a new amp because the system is set to use two ohm speakers. In addition, the speakers in the door are component woofers with no tweeters so if you just replace them; the tweeters won’t have a signal from the amp; I believe the rear deck speakers get a full range signal. I’m interested in your results when you replace the remaining 4 speakers.
Ya I was worried about the ohms too but they work great and sound substantially better than the stock speakers. And I have the Alpine 6 speaker system.
OCMotivator I’m looking forward to a video of the install of the remaining speakers and how they sound in relationship to the alpine stock; I’m adding a sub in the next week and then will decide what if any other speakers I want to add but I don’t want to add just for the sake of change

Love your videos my friend please keep up the great work you’ve helped me so much
So the scary part of this for me was where you drilled in the sheet rock screws. What did the screws bit into? Also LOVED that Plum Crazy HC!! Woulda been cool if you guys pulled into a parking lot somewhere and chatted.
Ya. I plotted those screws out so there was no wiring below it. Learned that lesson already. Lol
The dash has a grill for the center channel, does this Alpine system have a center channel speaker? I think it does not, but the grill is there for the upgraded Harmon Kardon system. Just wanted to make sure.
installed a sub in my 2019 charger and drilled into my RF HUB $350 to replace and program. lesson learned
Happy Labor Day, Man you did a nice clean job. very nice.
Merch looking fresh stay cool out there keep the content coming!
I’ll post in a second:

I show how in this video at about 14 mins
ua-cam.com/video/GXqdIJ3288g/v-deo.html
The deck speakers only send low frequency? Did not knew. Thanks a lot man the videos a great help.
I told my wife I wanted the same car as you …. She said why would you want a car you can’t really drive in the rain 🥴🥴🥴😂😂😂
The kickers with the blue stitching are bullet proof way better than the yellow stitching kickers
hey man, good work :)
I love to watch your videos
Greetings from 5.7 R/T driver in Germany ^^
Is it too late to enter? My bass is now toast and the system you have are perfect nice simple all I need! Thanks in advance!!
Did you remove the factory sub and amp in the trunk that comes with the Harman kardon system?
Didn’t get the Hk. Got the alpine. No sub. HK is overpriced for what you get in my opinion. But wasn’t available on the cars I found when I was looking anyways. Check out my other videos. I changed all the speakers and it sounds insane.
Hey where did you get the box from? Can you leave a link to the box and the subwoofers?
That’s awesome. Seeing a fellow red eye owner.
Nice install! Where’d you get the sub box at? Looks like a great fit.

Thank you for a informative video. I'll be doing mine in the near future. Just had knee surgery today. 👍👍
Hey man - couple months later - you still happy with the kickers?
What kind of wire kit u use for hypnotics amp
I made that mistake. Well kinda. Lol
I was measuring a sheet of killmatt to install and threw in the trunk before I cut it since I decided to call it night.
Hinnant Design ah ok. I didn’t know that until after I purchased and installed them😅
OCMotivator yea I realized that after I bought and installed them. 😁
Good job! Now get some ice cream and cool off. LOL 🤣
Where u get the subwoofer box from?
Ima huge bass head when it comes to subs do you plan on installing Rockford fosgate back into your hellcat?
If I change I’m not sure what subs I’ll go with. I was looking at those square kicker 15”s or trying out the JL Audio and maybe doing 4 8’s or 10’s.
Ok cool keep us updated
Oh nice! I haven't noticed a positive terminal in my engine bay, I will have to do some research on that. Thanks for the info
How did you install the sub?
Aww man how you broke your hellcat those subs sound soooo good 😞
What do you think is better a q bomb ported box or the box you got???
I’ve never heard the Q-bomb but I looked into them and I couldn’t find one that would fit right in my challenger. The one I got was made for my challenger so it fits perfect and looks like it’s part of the car. And it sounds great too.
@@ocmotivator the q bomb are heavy and I have 10s in my challenger. The box just takes to much space and I like the one you got just didn’t want to sacrifice sound
@@MRRB172 I think you’ll like it. And with the 10’s you can get a ported box too and it’ll sound great. 👍
@@ocmotivator thank you good sir 🙏
Awesome video🙌🏾
Awesome videos. Always.👌🏻
Hello! I am new to the Challenger world, I really like your very informative channel and the car is sweet. How do I sign up for the sound system giveaway? Looking forward to more of your cool videos.
Just send me a message on Instagram! 👍 or post your email address here.
I need that Bass!
does all of this go for a 2021 rt charger as well?
Yes 👍
Do you have link to the box?
Bang in my trunk! Man hold up! 😂😂😂🤘🏿😎 nice work NEW sub
Bro you should put an electronic turbo on your prius
Where did you get the speaker box

I got a new SS CAMARO that I'm wanting to put a system in it. My Camaro is BUMBLEBEE, yellow with black STRIPES. Its automatic but I can go manual with the paddle shifters
I love my car
You wouldn't believe how many people have tried to buy it . I have not raced one of your cars yet. I do know this much. I might could take you on track because it's been proven the Camaro can hang the hell out of some curves. If we was on a dragstrip
I would not stand a chance. I would have to say you would dust my ass. I only own 15k left on it and I either want a Hellcat or the new 2020 Vette. I like the new style of the vette. It's got that Ferrari or Lambo look to it. I know for a fact though when it comes to anything made by GM, You might want to wait at least the first year when they change Anything
Because you dont want to be the lab rat if something goes wrong
I'm wanting to put a system in mine. I think it would be easy because my battery is in the trunk. That 500 watt Kenwood sub bass cannon would be perfect. I've been married 16 years. I dont know how old you are but I'm 43. We look about the same age
Alot of people would say I'm to old for that shit
F them
The problem is my wife
I love her but when I'm in the car I'd rather be by myself. She has changed alot
I thought after I paid off my Z71 ext.cab that I would double down on the hous payments but it didnt happen
THATS o.k. though because I will have the house paid off in 3 yrs. But I know me. I'm shooting for 2 yrs. I had been eyeballing that car for 3 months
We as a family
My mom and dad and her and my brothers had just left Longhorn Steakhouse and the car lot is right over there by it
I was going to by my wife a new Tahoe. We argued back and forth
She didn't want it, so I got what I wanted
Damn Tahoes are high as hell anyway. I have always bought GM, because my dad retired from there. So when I get a discount. I get the family one. My Z71, I got 12k off it. I used to have a GMC YUKON.I WENT TO THIS PLACE, AND BOUGHT ALL MY SHIT FROM THEM AND HAD THEM INSTALL IT
YEARS LATER. I UNHOOKED IT AND SOLD IT AND TRADED VEHICLES
I HAD 4 12 INCH MEMPHIS AUDIOS WITH E NEW CD DECK WITH REMOTE AND A 3,000 WATT KICKER AMP. I COULD DRIVE BY VEHICLES AND THE BASS WOULD VIBRATE THEIR CAR ALARMS OFF. NOW I'M OLDER AND I MISS THAT
MY WIFE LOVES THE CAR NOW. SHE WAS AFRAID OF IT AT FIRST. SOMETIMES I HAVE TO TELL HER TO SLOW DOWN. I DONT MIND HER SPEEDING. YOU JUST GOT TO KNOW WHERE TO DO IT AND WHAT TIME
THE REASON I MESSAGED IS I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO PUT MY FOOT DOWN AND BE AN ASS
SHE DOESN'T WANT ME TO PUT A SYSTEM IN IT BECAUSE SHE IS AFRAID THAT IT WILL RATTLE THE WHOLE INTERIOR APART
I think with just the 500 way bass cannon would be o.k
It may rattle a little bit bit not
A
@ 605 likes now. Dont know if theres a time limit but it's getting there. Good looking car man! My brother has a wide body Hellcat also.😎
You said the wire adapter is 72-7902 the link in the description says 72-2902. What one is is?
The link is right. My fat tired fingers made a typo. www.crutchfield.com/p_120727902/Metra-72-7902-Speaker-Wiring-Adapters.html
They're only $39 too
Quick question, so you don’t need a 4 channel amp to power these speakers at all??
True inspiration in all your videos you do
Love that supercharger whine in the beginning!
Alex Gonzalez I have a challenger too my question is how does it sound and how do you have to wire the speakers if the front doors are strictly bass
Family you don’t even gotta do all that just get a box.. you got 15s speakers they need a box
This comment doesn’t make any sense. But I’m sure the intention was good. Please elaborate
Nice intro.
Loved the intro haha!
I have a challenger too my question how did you have to wire the speakers if the front doors are strictly bass I have the 6speaker alpine system
Great video
Why buy kenwoods? And why not just pay to have it installed right?
I explain that at the end of my video. And it was installed right minus the small snag that I ultimately figured out. The stereo shops all said they’re too busy, their prices kept changing , they all quoted me crazy different numbers between $1000 and $3000, most around $2000 just for subs. But why ask that question? Is there something wrong with people working on their own cars?
And I explain the Kenwood sub and how and why in my prior videos. Good sound for very cheap for people without lots of money to spend who want something easily removable.
Good video.
Face your subs towards the front won't vibe as much I have a challenger too
Hey man we need to talk... I love what you are doing... Can you do some work for me????
Sorry to my DAD but your my hero 😅
Nice 👌
Sounds like you don't need to be installing anything...
Anyways message me back. I want to know if it rattled your interior loose
