I know you said the kenwood subwoofer is discontinued but I still wanna find it cause it’s great for the Charger that I got what’s the full name of the subwoofer please and thank you love your videos
My Challenger (SXT AWD) had the base 6-speaker system, which was unbelievably bad. I installed the Kenwood Excelon XR600-DSP and Kenwood Excelon speakers all around (6903C set for doors and dash, X174 for rear) and couldn’t be happier. From Crutchfield, about $1000 total. Installed myself, never done it before, took a full day.
Nice Vid! I went with the Rockford Fosgate P500- 12p. Its a similar 500 watt system but all built in one for easier set up. Also shallow low profile box that doesn't take much space in the trunk.
I've worked in a stereo shop for 20 years....and to build a custom box will cost you far more than $150 made with much better quality MDF, Glue, Carpet, etc. I'm glad you were able to get it done super cheap....but cheap isn't always better.
After watching that, I'm glad I got the factory harmon cardon system. And I've seen several videos from idiots downing the sound from this system. Once you find the equalizer adjustments on the touch screen it sounds excellent. Not to say it can't be improved but I'm liken it. Still glad you got yours pounding some air.
Literally laughed out loud in bed next to my sleeping wife @ 12:35 am when you called the trunk release a MF'er...I had to rewind and watch that a few times...and when you talked about the hot as hell light! I seem to remember another one of your vids where you are changing out the interior lights with LEDs and you also reference those lights burning the sh!* out of you. Another great, entertaining & inspirational vid. 👏

looks cool. However, to reduce the chance of a fire or ground loop noise (engine whine heard in the speakers), never ground your amp directly battery terminal. Everything else was dope, especially ken wood's line out converter with the P.connect (remote amp power on wire: blue wire). great vid bro
I have a 300 S with the beats system and its the first car in 25 years of driving that I've yet to upgrade the subs. but if i do i will use the kenwood line out converter for ease of installation
I think I've watched this vid 10 times now and still makes me laugh out loud (usually in bed at midnight trying not to wake up my wife! 🤫) I've ordered my Kicker 48DCWR102 Dual 10" sub enclosure, 800 watt Kicker 44KXA800.1 amp, Kicker 46KISLOC2, 46CK4 Kicker install kit and 2 Kicker 43CWR10G speaker grilles and can't wait to climb into the trunk of my Charger to get it all installed. Until this vid, I was worried about not knowing how to connect everything.... now I'm just scared as hell I'm going to burn the shit out of myself on that damn light! 😱
great vid, you can also get one bass speaker, fit in a 12" Waste pipe ( yes waste pipe/ Orange) and you'll get a similar effect for much less $$$ ;) done it in the 2000s when we couldn't afford expensive stuff
Another loaded sub, although more expensive is a JL Audio Microsub+ .Its an enclosed sub box with 2 8" subs and a 500watt amp. Also slim mounted box takes up very little space.Just another option
Placing the battery in the trunk, is another great feature that I like about my SRT8 and actually also helps preserve them as well because the environment is much less harsh than in the engine bay and have seen them last for years back there. My Challenger came with the kicker and sounds pretty decent, but have a HK receiver as part of my home theater system and is incredible. Which is more important to me than when I'm driving because I like to hear the sound of the pipes, and there's nothing like the rumble of the Hemis. I'm sorry that you had a bad experience with your system, but the rest of the car makes up for it tenfold and are the most badass production cars on the planet. Especially when a solution is a lot less expensive than what it would cost to have had the dealerships add them, so it worked out and now just enjoy the ride bro
Lmao dude! Love how your channel is developing! Great job! Seriously laughed out loud when you explained how you can remove the 40lb sub so you won’t lose at the track to a mustang! PCONN is usually for remote sync or... power connect :)
Install a capacitor. It will save your battery, alternator, keep lights from dimming with bass and will give you a cleaner thump. Use 4g battery wire, thick rca’s, and thick speaker wire. I even use 12g remote wire.
I had Harman Kardon in my previous challenger n didn't feel the need to spend 1800 for it again. I did submit to the 900 for the sub upgrade on the alpine tho lol
There’s a shop in Anaheim, Ca called AP Sounds and Customs the owners name is Andy best shop in OC in my opinion they have done all my cars and my wife’s from 2014 till now never had any issues they have never let me down highly recommended!!! The prices are reasonable and the service is A1!

Nice clean video on how to install the subs on charger . Quick question . I bought all in one Rockville 10” subs and amp and I am trying to install it myself but I am little confused on how to power up the amp ? Can I tap the positive and negative wire from the amp to speaker 🔈? Will that turn on my amp and the speakers?

Everything worked out well except for one thing...Now my backup camera isn’t working and my Uconnect operating system looks way different on the screen. Did anyone have this issue as well? Great Video!! Sounds Awesome!! I have the factory Alpine system in my 2019 Scat Challenger and it needs this!!! $2000 systems are out of my price range I would spend on a stereo system....
Hey @TODDSNAKE I have a 2016 high end scatpack challenger with all the available packages at the time and for the 2015-2016 models the alpine stereo system was the premium option at the time, so don’t down play alpine just because dodge has a contract with a better audio company now. Before, if you didn’t have the beats by Dre or alpine in your car you had some unknown factory system in your car that sounded way more horrible than you think alpine sounds now, so think about that. Hey where did you find that custom box at on line and check your amp it may get really hot also am pro make a plug n play t harness goes behind radio gives you rca outs and remote if you change interior speakers and use an amp on them I have it in mine sounds great keeps all factory features
Why didnt you buy the OEM Dodge Mopar HARMON KARDON SUBWOOFER speaker that comes stock in all the Hellcat Challengers? Sure its $800 bucks but it fits perfectly in that spare tire compartment space is and it is actually designed for your car.
Please please listen to me man..if u have play store download eq bass booster pro 2019, it will take your system from 10 to a 20 its like night and day - louder cleaner and at least a 30 % bass increase

Dude - I’m liking you more and more - it’s like listening to myself - especially the cussing while working on a project. I haven’t settled on a plan yet. My 2020 Challenger isn’t as fancy as yours 😂.... like you, did this stuff when I was young but as the crisis strikes, I’m educating myself so I can make my kids jealous of my ride while they’re figuring out life 😉
@@ocmotivator with this system you, do you still hook it up exactly the same way? and does it come with everything needed? and can it be done with the harmon kardon system? Thanks in advance! Good channel, enjoy the content!
Did you use the rear speakers as the signal input into the converter and then amp? Wouldn't the back 6.5 speakers get a signal from up from that doesn't have all the low frequencies? I would imagine 6.5's are set to have a crossover to them so they won't blow?
@@ocmotivator thanks for the reply. A speaker can be full range but not receive all frequencies at the same volume if that makes sense. You can measure with a volt meter to check. You may be able to get more bass, and more bass is a good thing! Here to help if I can.
Alex Dlt makes sense but it sounded really good with the Kenwood. And since then I’ve transitioned to 2 12’s with a Fosgate amp and then to 2 15’s with a JL Audio JD 1000 amp with the Wavetech LinkQ LoC and I honestly have never been so impressed. Check out my newest vids and you can see that I changed all the interior speakers too. It’s downright insane now. Zero distortion and the bass is solid and slamming. Way more than I ever needed or intended but it made for some good content so I went for it.
I know nothing about audio, especially for cars. My charger came with the alpine system. It sounds good but I have no idea if it’s a good system? Any advice guys?
Alpine is the top of the line car audio Harmon kardone is top of the line in home audio ...I have the Alpine in my 2018 Ram it is respectable for what it is....the CAN-BUS wiring system really limits you on advancement because everything is controlled through the head unit heat,ac, traction control....but I am sure Alpine is working on head units for them.

Dave H check this out. I’ve had a lot of people tell me this is an awesome all-in-one solution for about the same price and it’ll sound even better: amzn.to/35agYVq
Hmm. No. The rear speakers on my stock system are full range. You may be right in one of the upgraded systems. But not on mine.
Wait but what speakers did you get with ur car like which stock speakers?
Just the base alpine system that came with the car. And In my other videos I share the whole replacement door, dash and deck speaker install too.
What song is that at the end, i want it, that is some serious shit.
I know nothing about audio, especially for cars. My charger came with the alpine system. It sounds good but I have no idea if it’s a good system? Any advice guys?
Alpine isn’t too bad it’s not the base sound system but it’s not the highest end like the Harmon kardon option
