- In this tutorial we introduce you the new innovative sprayable foam and show how to insulate different surfaces with unique spray nozzle.
In rooms or for construction parts with insufficient insulation, a solution is fragment insulation.
From the point of view of cold bridges, critical spaces are sheds, garages, attics, basements, balconies, tanks, piping, etc.
PENOSIL EasySpray sprayable single-component insulation foam is especially meant for these applications, ensuring thermal insulation and air and water vapour tightness when cured.
Instead of traditional bulky insulation boards and fasteners, insulation can be conveniently made on site with the help of spray foam.

First I was excited, but it didn’t stick well to the new clean sheet metal plate. I bought 10 bottles, two did not work. Apparently the pressure was too low because it came out just straight. Did not spread when spraying as it should. In Finland one bottle cost 20 euros. A little too expensive. Otherwise, this is a very good idea. The absolute maximum yield is four square meters per bottle, just a thin layer.
Sorry to hear it. There may be different reasons why you didn´t succeed. Spraying quality is affected by the can´s temperature during the application (avg. +18-28 °C). Gun foam flow regulator should be also completely open. The foam doesn´t adhere when water particles haven´t absorbed or there is too much water during the moistening of the surface. The thickness of the single foam layer shouldn't exceed´1,5 cm The foam is meant for fragment insulation or for several places in buildings where the use of conventional insulation materials is not possible. For total thermal insulation, there are cheaper building materials.
@@PenosilOfficial Thanks for the answer. The temperature was + 22`C. The purpose was to make a thin layer to prevent water condensation. I had cleaned it with an oil remover. The surface was a clean steel plate in the boat. I thought it was as sticky as urethane but it didn't stick so well. After a week the foam had come off the hand-sized areas. It did not fall down, but was loose like a bubble in the wall.
It seems that the surface wasn´t sufficiently moistened. This is the reason why a bubbly-like base is forming and there is very poor adhesion. It is best to use a sprayer where the liquid comes out in a gentle mist, not as water droplets. @Sam Pentti

How much pressure has to be in the can for the fan spray to work, i have a tip and gun but i have the same problem it just comes out in a straight line. I opened the gun nozzle all the way
Hi, are you using the Penosil EasySpray Foam with the spray nozzle and it doesn't work? Or are you using a different foam with the spray nozzle? The Spray effect is achieved by combining together EasySpray Foam's special formula and spray nozzle. It will not work with any normal foam.

What's the fire rating?

My garage roof is corrugated asbestos and drips with condensation. Will this product stick to the underside of this ? Or should I use any special treatment first. What roughly is the coverage area of each can ?
The product adheres well to corrugated asbestos. The only thing is that it is difficult to spray on a wavy surface. We suggest moving perpendicular to the waves. Before applying the foam moisten the surface. It is best to use a sprayer where the liquid comes out in a gentle mist, not as water droplets. The yield is 1 m2
per can when sprayed as 3 cm layer.

Is this sprayed through a regular foam gun with the supplied nozzle placed on the end? And, any plans to sell this product in Canada? Looks good for draft sealing cavities that will have fiberglass insulation installed as well.

Can this product be sprayed overhead to insulate joist bays ?
Yes, sprayable foam can be used insulating joist bays. As the product doesn´t have a special ceiling spray nozzle, then some foam flakes can fall.

The R-value depends on the foam layer thickness. Divide the layer thickness by the thermal conductivity, which is λ=0,033 W/(m*K)

@@PenosilOfficial At 13% closed cell it should not be advertised as closed cell because it is not. 13% is nowhere close to being enough to have any insulation value unless it’s applied 5 to 6 inches thick. Your product in no different than the cheapest on the market today.
@Chad Smith Penosil EasySpray foam has R value 4,3 per inch. This is higher than the R value for e.g. rigid mineral wool, expanded polysterene, fiberglass batt, open cell 2-component foam. The biggest advantage of this foam is that it can be used for insulating places that are difficult to insulate with traditional insulation materials e.g. round, uneven surfaces etc.
