I have the same binder. I like it. I would like to point out that side loading won't stop moisture. It doesn't matter, moisture is moisture. Also, the zipper makes the dust irrelevant almost entirely.
Great video man, I just used the code to purchase a 4 pocket binder for my daughter. She’s just starting out and don’t foresee her having alot of cards right now. These are imo one of the best investments one can do for their cards.
hey ! not a pokemon collector, but instead loona photocards 🙃 i collect 4 members, so a 9 pocket binder isn’t enough, but i’ve never really liked the look of 12 pocket binders, but im so glad to have found a hardcover one instead of a fabric one that looks like a laptop cover ! my old a5 binder was way too small for all of my cards, and it made me a little sad to have one of my favorite groups in such a small binder :// but thank you so much for this video, because literally none of the sellers ive tried to buy one of these from have ever showed the inside, so im glad youtube didn’t let me down !! i plan to buy one now ! your collection is very cool, i came for a binder review and stayed for pokemon ! :D
they have the best zip binders on the market. i particularly love the 4 pocket binders for keeping my high value cards like secret rares and full arts in. I use the 9 pocket for lower end V's and just regular holos. the 12 slot is just too big for me and impractical (i dont collect master sets like you, only cards with artwork that I love and mostly only shiny stuff)
Toploader binders I feel have a better chance of not ruining the cards. I would love to use this binder, but I feel over time cards won't be flat anymore and edges to be effected.
Some people do that, some people get fancy and laser engrave! With the newest Pokemon sets, they've been putting out binders for those sets with the set number on the outside. Pretty cool!
@@FullMetalEnergy I actually ended up getting the Vault X anyways along with some bulk perfect fit sleeves and dragon shield sleeves. I wanted to get it for my complete base set and other older sets so I wanted to get red, blue, yellow, and maybe green for all the original versions of the game but it seemed like overkill to get more than two for now. The code would’ve been pretty nice so I could buy a few more singles as well though haha.
I never seen anyone have multiple sets in one binder. Definitely rethinking if i’m gonna try and do the same thing considering I got my first one last December with 480 pockets. I just always liked having that separation of the sets and not so close together(within the same binder). What do you suggest I should do with any bulk?
I think of it as my Vintage binder, and the older sets were much smaller so you can fit more. Instead of pulling out 4 binders to look at them all, I pull out 1! As far as bulk, either sell to a bulk buyer, or giveaway to kids at Conventions! Or hoard forever, haha.
Thanks for watching! And no, my 9 pocket is jam packed and no bending in sight! That’s actually a reason I switched from Monster Binders. If you grab one, don’t forget to use METALMOB to save some $$
@@FullMetalEnergy i used standard ultra pro 66x92 for x vault but are too much large, the sleeves can put but are slightly tight :(… the vault sleeves are smaller than ultra pro standard? Thx
@@CVPROHD They're the same size. I've noticed some of the stitching can be a little closer, causing not as much room sometimes. May want to like into like a "perfect fit" sleeve which they also make!
Thanks for watching! So I use standard Ultra Pro penny sleeves over some more exact fit card sleeves. Totally not necessary but you can do it if you’d like to!
Hey, thanks for the video. Have you noticed any bending of the cards in the 9 pocket? I got one and kinda looked inside while it was closed and see the pages slightly bending inwards. Not sure if I'm just being super anal. Thanks
Thanks for watching! If it’s packed to the max, I’d say slightly towards the spine but not enough that I’ve noticed it to be actual damage. I’ve had my 9 slot full for over 3 years and they still look fine if I pull them out.
@@FullMetalEnergy Thank you for the reply! That's really good to know. One last question, do you feel the same about the 4 slot? I've been between them for my yugioh sets.
@@FullMetalEnergy You're the best, I must just be overthinking LOL. Easy thing to get anal about I guess. Thanks again, looking forward to seeing more of your videos.
Thanks for the vid! Do you still have no issues with putting two cards per slot? I'm thinking about it as right now it's so loose that my cards sleeved with perfect fit keep sliding and sometimes get out completely. Thanks!
Thanks a lot :) I wanted to store 4 copies of the same card. That will add more variety on the pages and they will be kept tight. I was just worried that the binder/pages couldn't hold 960 cards but thanks to you I know it's possible!
Ordered 2 binders last week with your discount code. Thank you. I'm trying to order 3 deck boxes from vault x but promo code doesn't seem to work anymore. Is this a 1 time use?
I appreciate it! So double check the discounts because when I’ve used mine before, it’s acted like it’s already attached to my account when I add a Vault X item to my cart. I’ve tried to use my code and it says can’t be applied, but the discount is reflected already on the product itself (not showing the discount on your cart details). If it’s not, DM me on Insta if you have one @fullmetalenergy.
Hi thanks for the review! Does Vault X have a binder that will fit hard plastic toploaders? I'm trying to get the highest amount of protection possible!
@@FullMetalEnergy thanks for getting back to me so fast! Do you think that toploaded binders offer really that much more protection than just normal sleeves?
@@PopnLochNessMonster if it’s in a quality binder, I’d say not really. I mainly look to top loaders to keep a card from bending, and hard protecting corners and edges. There should not be enough space and force in a binder to cause any of that type of damage.
Any issues with the inner cards (cards closest to the spine) binding? I keep hearing if the binder is fully loaded the cards in the middle will start to bind?
Thanks for watching! The Blue one in the video has every slot filled and I keep it closed and stored all of the time. From what I can see, the binders have enough extra material on the pages to keep severe bends from happening. Checking out the cards that’s closest to the spine, there is an ever so slight curve towards the spine, but not damaging at all, and nothing an hour under a heavy book wouldn’t fix. I only notice on the first and last 3 pages.
@@chrozome What I’m describing isn’t from an open binder, it’s a packed to the max when closed. I’ve got every page filled with double sleeves so it’s thick. When opened, it’s fine, I just notice on those first few pages on the cards closest to the spine they have the slightest bend. Good to know though! I’ll check those out as well.
I saw this one with the zipper, but had a bad thought that leaving it zipped closed all the time might promote mold because of the lack of airflow. I settled for the vault x with the stretchy band
For master sets I always just use ultra pro binder pages on a D ring binder. Any card that has a substantial value I always use a true fit sleeve, ultra pro premium sleeve, and ultra pro premium top loader. That’s the most premium and safest way to store your cards in my opinion.
Good tips! There’s just something about flipping through a binder and seeing the whole collection together! I have a few of the bigger cards I graded so I need binder copies because my OCD can’t take the holes, lol
