    This was the year (1976) I graduated high school; it was our country’s bicentennial (and American pride has seldom been stronger); and it truly was the best Olympics in my lifetime. I watched every minute I could cram in!! It’s a tragedy what has happened in our country and to Bruce since then. May God have mercy!!!

    Twelve years, TWELVE years, this man trained for the olympics. Twelve straight years. Every minute of every day, of every week, of every month , of every year.....I can't even imagine that kind of discipline. That is so impossible to me. This man sacrificed everything for his dream. His teenage years and his twenties were nothing but training and then some. It's just mind blowing, it really is. His family will never be able to even comprehend that part of his life. What he lived back then and his life now couldn't be more extremely different. Not that that's a bad thing. He just actually had to WORK to get where he is at. He is the epitome of hard work.

      @ronniemead805 Місяць тому

      It's not bravery and it was not easy for him. He lost his family and a lot of respect. He had no choice but to fulfil his end of the bargain. People who do not fulfill their end of the bargain have very bad things happen to them and their loved ones. In order to achieve great, fame, fortune and success in this world; you have to have a contract with the god of this world, satan. Many of these Olympic athletes had trained just as hard and as long as Jenner; but only the god of this world decides who to bestow his largesse on. Jenner had to fulfil his agreement with satan: the fulfilment of his warped Transgender/homosexual agenda. Look closely and you will see that all the great actors, actresses, heads of large corporations, heads of Government, etc. belong to the secret satanic cabal.

There is no such thing as a trans woman, because men can NOT transition into women. Telling the truth is NOT being a “hater, or mis-informed, or uneducated.” Who said anything about disrespecting Bruce? Bruce can live any way he wants to, but I draw the line at anyone making me pretend that Biology 101 does NOT exist, and go along with their mental illness.

    Thank you for this. A very interesting documentary on an incredible Olympic performance. The Montreal Olympics was a turning point for Australia. We did worse at that Olympics than any other. We won one silver medal and 4 bronze. It was by far the worst performance an Australian team had ever delivered. I remember being in my school hall and watching the 1500 mens swim and Stephen Holland was our great hope for a gold - but it was not to be. As a result of this Olympics Australia suddenly realised we could not longer rely on talented amateurs so the government set up the Institute of Sport and we have done much better ever since - especially in the pool.

    The ‘kick’ on the back straight in the 1500m is one of the most amazing moments in sports, not just Olympics, history. It was Usain Bolt 2008 Level of superhuman that is so rare, the highlights would be less than 1 hour.
    -The Romanian gymnast Comaneci’s perfect 10 on the Uneven Bars.
    -Federer & Nadal at Wimbledon when the light was fading.
    -Tiger at his first Masters bowing the field away to become the youngest winner with largest margin of victory with lowest score ever, & hugging his Dad, over 20 years later, hugging his kids after winning there for his first major, nevermind Masters, in a decade+.

    Not sure where Manic Movies got this copy (perhaps from Library of Congress, which had one), but it is a very high-quality upload of the original, which I produced and directed for General Mills/Wheaties. Gives a nice portrait of Jenner when he was a man (I think!). I guess he's still a man, but claims to be a woman trapped in a man's body. In the words of a friend, our "takeaway from the touching portion of Jenner's interview with Dianne Sawyer on ABC-TV's "20/20" is that his very public journey will help other transgenders go through their traumatic experience." I wish him all the best. He was fun to work with, and surely is/was an Olympic Champion!

    • @alizafar5072

      You wanna know what happened to him? Kris Jenner happened to him. He spent over two decades trapped in that house full of females who got attention, fame, and fortune because they were attractive women...their entire brand was based off of their appearance...and that trumped Bruce's Olympic accomplishments. Is it so hard to believe subliminally he brain computed that exposure into having the thought that he felt inadequate the way he was? All that estrogen exposure and constant vanity those women had, conditioned his psyche to want to become like them.
      You don't walk out of that family as a healthy man. Lamar became addicted to crack cocaine and oxycontin...Rob became a sizzurp guzzling, pot smoking, bloated hippo who is so insecure he avoided his sister's wedding to avoid having photos taken of him. With all things considered, we should consider it a miracle he hasn't gone gay along with becoming a woman. He's a heterosexual male right now...soon to be a lesbian. It's a shame.
