Which, for some reason involves showing the Klein bottle around his wife's garden and posing with an extremely happy-looking Cliff xD

I love how Cliff presents things. Other would probably show this in a computer animation, but he shows it on glass models and his very own body :) Also, I know that in topology things can generaly go through each other (with exception of knots), but it's nice to see how you can make the transformation without that.

Leading scientists went to learn about knots, strings, and how they work. Took many years, but needed for Biology since micro organisms like cells split / work by using knots. Not very interesting at first, but basic things have great reasons.

I needed somewhere appropriate to share this: I ordered a Klein bottle from Cliff today. His website gave the option to leave him a note, so I did. The usual "Thanks for the videos and being awesome." Not really thinking anymore of it aside from "He'll probably read it and be happy about it" End of the evening: I randomly check my mail. Twó, handwritten E-mails from Cliff. One filled with jokes and thanks for my order. The second has about a dózen photos of my Klein bottle. Klein bottle on his scales, Klein bottle in his hand. Klein bottle posing with broadly smiling Cliff in his garden. Which I now know several species of his wife's plants, as he decided to mention their names. With "Fibonacci hiding in them". He even went through the trouble of translating "fragile, contains empty glass bottle" into Dutch and writing it on the box. Not printed. Handwritten. And several cartoons of wineglasses with broken stems XD Cliff, you are a madman XD It's so touching, that one of my favorite Numberphile guests, put all that time and effort into my simple online order.
Wow, that's really cool! Going the extra mile and then some more! Amazing how much enthusiasm Cliff has. You can tell he's someone who deeply loves what he does and loves sharing that passion, and there's something amazing about those people.
Cliff Stoll is literally the most enthusiastic mathematician I know and he somehow transfers that enthusiasm to everyone around him. Please never stop making videos with him
I love this guy! So much enthusiasm and a genuine excitement in showing and explaining his field of interest. I always have big smile on my face when I watch a video with him in it.

I found this equally mysterious and relaxing. I giggled madly through the whole thing like a 5 year old. I so wish he was my grandpa! Theres something about topology that breaks my brain but relaxes my body, its like my brain cant explain what my intuition knows and finds joy in. Love this guy!
