Ended up choosing the 8 man Kifaru thanks to Jordans review. I had experience with my buddies sawtooth but this fit my families needs better. This review is on point and yes the tipi and stove are worth the price.

heh, is there a reason you don't have a small hatchet for the pegs? You sound a bit like Dean Potter, which rules. I was looking at a canadian piece of canvas for a 20' tipi, over a grand. You gotta cut yer poles each time so it's less mobile than this, less heavy. I like the stove idea.
Anyone know if on the attachments for the guy lines, does that connection to the tent fabric feel pretty solid? Over the years I've been pretty disappointed with these points tearing out
Cool how big it is when being lightweight. Not many 4 man backpacking tents in general, and this is the only one I have seen you can stand up in. My concern is sleeping on the ground and bugs coming in at the gap you have all way around between the tent and the ground. I suppose you could just make sure you have the tent tighter against the ground. But I wish guys would talk about the risks and concerns of sleeping on the ground and how to mitigate them. Does this have an accessory that allows you to put in a bathtub vapor barrier floor? Seems like it wouldn’t be that hard to make and could be lightweight and suspended in way that prevents it from collecting all of the condensation on the walls. Would also like a little flap of an awning for at least one of the entrances. It would just be a little more weight and more to setup but for me I think it is worth it. You could go in there and stay completely dry and take your boots off and be super cozy and comfortable. I bet it is super hot when you stand up in there. I have been in a hot tent that was so easy to make too hot, which isn’t a bad thing. Love the idea of hot tents. There is another guy that used a naturehike tunnel tent that has a large vestibule. He installed himself a stove jack into the vestibule and used a stove that had a nice glass door. Love being able to see the fire. It is so enchanting to watch the fire while it is cold outside. No, an ax would be helpful 👍. Yes sometimes cutting the poles can be a little bit tedious depending on how often you're moving and such

You don't ever have to question the toughness of Kifaru gear. I assure you they are solid as it gets.
