Do not pre-fill your oil filter. All manufacturers suggest against this, as you could get contamination in the oil and damage the engine, as you are pumping unfiltered oil directly into the engine. Instead, before starting the vehicle, press the accelerator to the floor when starting, this puts the vehicle in flood mode and will build oil pressure before starting the engine, when you release the accelerator, it will start.

@@LSxMotorsports2021 Sorry about that; the car is at an angle, not level. When you need to check the oil level, at least, that's what I was taught when I was trained to be a mechanic million years ago.

Yeah I always start it up and drive it off the ramps and let it sit 15 mins or so then check the level.
