The accuracy on each slugcat’s personality is crazy. Survivor doesn’t do anything special as if simply trying ti get through unnoticed which makes sense, and while not as expressive as monk they also show a but of style. Monk is just having a good time with this, hunter is simple but effective in their movements, arti seems inpatient and just wants to kill more scavs, in which she achieves. Saint is. Well, Doing saint things. Spearmaster Does what they do best in showing off their spear wielding capabilities, and also doing a flip because why not, Riv seems to just want to make this more entertaining for themselves in classic adhd fashion. Gourmand fails to keep up with the other slugcats for a bit before grabbing a snack for the extra energy boost. Did I really need to over analyze this cool lil scug animation? no. But I d i d. Oh yeah also inv. Their just suffering in rejection. In very classic inv fashion
Also, Hunter moves in for a hug/kiss on Artifacer and Arti just DEFLECTS the scug. Honestly, I’ve come back to this animation a good few times just cause it’s so dang CLEAN.

You’ve got NO idea how many times I had to rewatch, and rewind this entire video to notice EVERY DETAIL put into this animation. There’s just SO. MUCH. DANG. PERSONALITY, all crunched into 48 seconds! I love every part of this animation, from Inv just having a singular cameo as a corpse in a lizard’s mouth, to Saint being dragged around by dev tools, and Gourmand getting tired, but later coming back with food!

I know this video is like 4 month old but still (and I do come back to the video from time to time whem I get rain world fever) spearmaster likes to doodle a lot by writting on the walls/floor with his spears/needles (you can see him do doods while hibernating) and eating consumables from a distance by spearing them (like the zoom mushrooms or the comunity joke of using the spear as a "hands-off" straw for a cocktail drink). Heck pretty sure one of the shelter in the exterior had no simbols but in future campaings there is a scrached on simbol for a shelter (implying spearmaster did it). Would have liked to atleast to see him draw something, he have been seen drawing himself, animals, simbols like "predator" used by the overseers and even landscapes and maps@@Notlutherr

I loved every bit of it, from gourmand getting tired and coming back with some food, artificer hitting that scav, saint casualy swinging with it's tongue to other things like inv appearing once just to get eaten by a lizard, the little dances all the slugcats had mid song and saint being dragged around by a cursor. Not entirely sure why, but Monk really seems the type to be cheerful almost non stop and just enjoying every little thing... Just look at that happy "having the time of its life" face. You again really captured their characters well. Especially Artificer (on whom I've decided to name Cathy from now on - Cathyficer) going "scavenger must smash", and Wilson (survivor; if you got the reference, you deserve a cookie) being unbothered by it all with him probably being traumatised. Also: poor Sofan being the jokecat... as usual, and just noticed Gourmand getting sweaty. Great attention to details.

YOU DONT UNDERSTAND HOW CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED THIS IS. The animation is terrific, simple, but captures each of the slugcats personalities, being adorable while at it. The animation also is full of little, goofy details, making each rewatch allow me to find a different detail I missed. ALSO, you add the soundtrack for Konga Conga Kappa (from Crypt Of The Necrodancer) and the Slugcats from Rain World, (Both games I absolutely ADORE) you single handedly just made a lil care package for things I love in one short video!!! As someone who barely even knows any of these characters, you did an incredible job of showing off each character's gimmicks, quirks, abilities, playstyle, etc. The animation is also very fluid and has a lot of rewatchability. There's so many small details as well that I love too! Definitely one of my favourite animations on the internet thus far.
I love this so much, I had to watch it over multiple times to catch all the little details unique to each slug! Adorable, and a flawless loop to boot! Monk is just having the time of his life skipping along and dancing. This has to be the best defended konga line ever. Arti killing scavs and Hunter killing lizards. Lol.

this is my new favorite video. The bit of devtools with saint, gourmand getting exausted then coming back with food, every little jig, the spooky dance, arti and hunter, bopping the scav, inv getting chomped by the train lizor, everyone having a reaction to arti getting the scav, and just so many more things. omg this has got me nonstop happy stimming ive watched it like a dozen times already im neurodivergent and rainworld is returning as a special interest for me again lately i really love the art style you draw the slugcats in and am especially obsessed with how groovy monk is and also the rivulet and saint animations and spearmaker is my favorite, hes so cool, and all of the details and references are so perfect
I love how every character except saint watched Arti kill that scav at the same time. Even cooler, all of them turned at different angles except Survivor and Monk, thats some detail. My favorite standalone one in this Monk because of their little dances and smiles contrasting Survivor being more of "Ah... I guess I got time for this"
Almost everybody just going 'oh god' at the scav death. And then you have Artificer who killed the scav, Hunter who's proud of Arti and Gourmand grabbing a snack out of their pile of food. Amazing.
I noticed the 'dev tools' popup showing up during the dance bit but it took me a while to also notice the mouse cursor making Saint do the Geddan flail dance thing.

@@Chris.530 Canonically none of the scugs have genders. In the dev commentary one of them called her motherly or something similar, I believe that's what people take as a confirmation. Although Gourmand, Survivor, Monk and Hunter can all get the mother passage. So I think its up to personal head cannons but the most accurate would probably be sexless for all of them :]

Make a looped version please! It’s so good and I want to listen to it for longer amounts of time without the hassle of turning on the loop setting. Even if you don’t have the time or something it doesn’t bother me too much to loop it,but please make a longer version if you can! (Also turning on loop is a hassle because I use a mobile device to listen to the song)

I have rewatched this thing several times, notably one time focusing on each different slugcat. I cannot get over how many funny little animations and dance moves are here... it's so hard to pick a favorite! But I will and that favorite is Saint, mostly because of the dev tools and their reaction to Arti, haha. No but seriously this is one of my favorite things ever, I will probably continue to rewatch it just to see the funny little guys some more

this is my new favorite video. The bit of devtools with saint, gourmand getting exausted then coming back with food, every little jig, the spooky dance, arti and hunter, bopping the scav, inv getting chomped by the train lizor, everyone having a reaction to arti getting the scav, and just so many more things. The attention to detail is insane and I had to rewatch it so many times just to see everything from each. Also the style goes so crazy. Everything about this is just so good kissing you on the head in such a platonic way. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I love how every character except saint watched Arti kill that scav at the same time. Even cooler, all of them turned at different angles except Survivor and Monk, thats some detail. My favorite standalone one in this Monk because of their little dances and smiles contrasting Survivor being more of "Ah... I guess I got time for this"

@@Chris.530 Canonically none of the scugs have genders. In the dev commentary one of them called her motherly or something similar, I believe that's what people take as a confirmation. Although Gourmand, Survivor, Monk and Hunter can all get the mother passage. So I think its up to personal head cannons but the most accurate would probably be sexless for all of them :]

I have rewatched this thing several times, notably one time focusing on each different slugcat. I cannot get over how many funny little animations and dance moves are here... it's so hard to pick a favorite! But I will and that favorite is Saint, mostly because of the dev tools and their reaction to Arti, haha.
