Use silicone lube for O rings. Regular oil based lubes will make black O rings swell up

Go to hardware store find a bolt that will fit in dowel hole and then chop to size and install.
Those dowels will work off all I believe and you can make your own out of metal pens

Castrol oil or whatever stains bad valvoline or royal purple is what I use with Lucas shiz check em ports on that intake manifold I had won it was bad inside and so was my brand new skunk2 intake manifold I can throw a wire "on that plug that goes there to the water pump and fan will kick on with ignition" honda guru B20zvtecturbo for DBG

So true about putting stuff on the bottom threads of the arp studs. The first time I did mine I literally dunked them in motor oil and stuck them into the hole, f'in youtube cant always trust.

Word of advice to you brotha . Stretch ya rod bolts most people torque rod bolts but your suppose to stretch em with a rod bolts stretcher. You know so u won't spin a rod bearing later on.

Oem head bolts require oil on threads and under washer. I assume arp is the one saying not to use any lube with their studs

Should of ran oil feed from oil pressure switch, just because it has a lil more oil pressure and it’s clean oil going back into ur head instead of the oil filter dirty oil

Honestly i personally think you should just part out the bug and scrap whats left lol if it was a cool older beetle then it would be worth keeping but those newer ones just dont have a cool factor

The design of the block doesnt allow the pressure to escape. Lubricant getting beneath the stud can create resistance due to the pressure it would build... transferring to an inaccurate torque reading.
Read step six of the instructions.
