Ive been using a Nikon D40 Recently, I love the rich vibrant colors of a CCD sensor as apposed to CMOS. Its a wonderful camera to shoot with to this day and holds up in quality even 20 years after it came out!
My newly acquired LX10. I love bringing it everywhere with me. Crazy macro shots with impossible angles. It wasn't possible with my 5d mk4 and 5 lenses that go with it.
Well, just ordered that Lumix LX5. There's no damn way I could get a better deal on that model, and I trust Kevin 100%. This will be a nice companion to my LX-100. 👍
I just love your videos, your voice is so soothing, and I love all the informations you give on models I dont know. I root for you everytime you test a camera. Thanks for you hard work
Man that Nikon waterproof camera looks like it took on the hulk and lost! Amazing it still works! The Lumix camera is a beauty, it's a shame about the back panel. And for some reason I thought the little Sony DSC-W570 was a pretty little bauble. Probably because it's shiny and it appeals to thje magpie in me. lol Shame it has dust issues. Another fun testing video, great work!
😂Sure does! Some of the most beat up cameras I see are home inspector cameras as they use them so often in bad weather, get dropped, etc. maybe the case here? Appreciate it as always!
Oldest is probably a really cool old vintage Kodak vest pocket camera from WWI era around 1918, and the newest would be a Canon R100 Mirrorless kit that was just released in 2023.
I picked up a Nikon AW130 in absolute perfect condition off eBay for $55 and I am quite a fan. The thing is a beast, I use it as my everyday pocket camera as its waterproof and shock resistant, plus its got several cool features for outdoorsy things. Pretty substantial zoom for such a small camera, and I've taken many many nice photos with mine. Ive seen them online at several price points and I still have no clue how I got mine for $55, but hey, I'm not complaining
Do you know what's the origin of these kind of used bulk camera crates, do some people make their living by collecting them and selling as-is condition or how do they end up in such big batches?
A lot of the times from my experience, the sellers will place untested or unknown condition cameras together, and when there is enough of them they will list them in a box or lot together. This is mainly the larger auction houses/liquidators/etc. Rarely do individuals have such large quantities unless they are selling a collection or the original owner passed away/etc.
Yep, I've sold a bunch of WB350's! Very solid camera. They had a recall I believe, as there was quite a bit of menu dial issues on certain production runs. It's worth around $100-125 without any mode dial issues in good working shape, if you were interested in selling it, otherwise, have some fun shooting with it! Nice optical zoom too!
You could try? But one thing I check is for any water/residue INSIDE of the lens glass. Once water has entered the lens area or internal components, it's likely not salvageable.
With good quality point and shot digital camera's I think most of them were good quality cameras but what I have been watching on UA-cam about cheap cameras from Amazon most of them don't have good quality but I know I still have my old digital camera when I was a kid it is a GE 14.1 mega pixel point and shoot and it is still in good condition but just a bit of a battery hog
Yes, you're definitely right! These newer no name direct from China brands on Amazon offering 4k and 48 or 70MP cameras are just pretty much trash IMO. Cool to hear on your little GE camera! I've used the X400 and X500 as well as various GE C models a number of years ago
I still do enjoy my old camera with my other two camera I do own I do have a night vision camcorder but it is a cheap nock off camera and the other one is a Kodak prix pro but when at one point I have compared my two old cameras like the night vision to my regular GE camera on my own time the GE camera does have the better picture quality than my night vision camcorder
What is your favorite camera to shoot with in 2024?? I just got a Panasonic LX100 and I've been having a blast with it!
I have an LX100 and I agree, it's a fantastic camera! Definitely one of my favorites.
Nikon D850

Those lumix cameras are so beautiful

Thank you so much, that is quite kind!
That nikon looks like it went on a few adventures... Probably took fun pictures

I wonder what the oldest and newest camera you have come across? Always fun, thanks.

Wow that's an amazing deal, glad to hear you're getting a lot of use out of it too!
That yellow Nikon looks like something you’d find in an abandoned tank 😂
It sure does!

Have you ever gotten a Samsung wb350f? I have one in white and would like ideas what to do with it

Hi! Just wanted to ask if a waterproof camera had battery corrosion & rusting, do you think it’s still worth testing if it’ll work?

Where do you resell cameras? Possible link??
You can find me on eBay here: www.ebay.com/str/california545

Nono, that is not ugly.. just a little patina :p
🤓
Ugliest? You've never seen a 70's Polaroid?
If you want to see an ugly camera check out the olympus c5000. Boy its bad!
Curious to know why you think it's ugly, I quite like it haha
